Grandmothers carry a bragging book, a set of pictures of their grandchildren to show other people - ALL other people, even strangers in line at the grocery store. Grandfathers, on the other hand, are much more restrained and efficient. We don’t show one or two people at a time. We go for maximum results with minimum effort.
It’s been almost six months since the little munchkin (Avery Jones) was born and he’s actually developing a personality.
And he drools. A lot.
His head has taken a bit of a shape change since we last saw him
.
(MN: They stuffed tissues in the hat. )
Avery’s a good name. It’s my sons middle name too.
This dude is handsooommmmeee! It is a beautiful gift to seem them grow and mature to little people. What a wonderful gift the Lord has given you and your family. I pray that he will be just as zealous as his grandpa for the sake of the gospel and orthodoxy you know it is going to be scarey then.
He’s a cutie pie. My daughter had a hat like that when she was a baby, different color though.
He is cute. It’s a good thing he doesn’t look like grandpa!
(MN: Amen to that. The boy would look insane with a beard AND that hat! )
oooh boy, good thing for avery i’m not related to him because he would have some bite marks all over them fat thighs. i can’t take it. babies are my thing and they are absolutely scrumptious! thanx for showing him off gwanpa.
Wow brother! Six month’s already? Instead of my monthly tithe, how about I throw in a few tennis lessons once he starts walking (just bring him here!!)
Be blessed Melvin! Have a safe trip and a great weekend with the brothers and sisters as you all learn pimp free theology!!!!
Actually, I lost count. Let’s see…he was born in April…June..October…carry the two…add in the universal expansion constant…
Yep. He’s actually abut eight months old.
Avery is adorable… what a blessing are children!
I love it!!!! One look at him and I am hooked, I am the auntie that gives all the goodies no matter what the mom say, so keep him a way from me I would spoil him to death…..
Independent….
If I am not mistaken congrats are in order to you as well. I tell you one thing these kids have a great foundation of awesome men to teach them….
Melvin your grandson is a cutie, from the picture he already looks like he is teaching.
He is real cute and cuddly!!
Coongrats!! He’s adorable.
Melvin, I’m gonna need to know the lad’s size. The new Steeler Onesies are out.
I have been a voyuer on this site for 15 months spending most of my time reviewing comments, scriptures and pondering over the views and opinions of the bloggers/readers and weighing their responses against my thoughts and the words of the scripture. However deep or shallow it may sound it took the photo of your grandson and the comment about Steelers attire to get me to write a response or comment. LOL (There have been numerous times I have wanted to respond to what has been written but I have been more interested in learning through observation than debating during that time) I am a transplant currently outside of Atlanta, GA perimeter from Pittsburgh and I have to say, as Brenda stated, I am a auntie to 7 nephews and he is absolutely adorable! Auntie would be a wold be someone synonymous with “spoiling-your-nephew/neice” , in addition he would look great in Steeler gear,(albeit, I do not promote the body to be utilized as a advertising venue for a product…but hey, when you find a good thing…
Anyway congratulations on grandparenthood (if there is such a word) and your site is an amazing tool to grow people. I have given your site address to 11 people during my 15 month stint of voyeurism and the discussions have been non-stop and a healthy awakening.
Thank you for the outlet, information and challenge to grow as Christians.
P.S. Request: not new at all, looking for church home in Dekalb Cty area , specifically around Lithonia, Ga area unfortunately I am blocks away from “New Girth” suggestion are appreciated.
God Bless
Hi LaVerne!! Welcome aboard!! Stop lurking and jump on in. I need some Black and Gold backup ’round here.
Laverne, I don’t care why you comment. Just the thought of drawing you into a discussion is a thrilling prospect. I’m always surprised (pleasantly so) to find out that people have been reading and benefiting from the time they spend here. It bolsters my argument that the site is not here to simply present the Gospel, but to warn the sheeple and help people to grow, becoming pimp proof in the process.
GaryV if you continue to mention the Steelers on this site you will not be allowed to post any more comments………oh, my bad. This isnt my blog. Cute kid Melvin, Another member of the defenders of the pulpit.
You can’t stop me Cop……….MUHAHAHAHAHA!!!
He’s absolutely precious!!!!
Enough about me Robin…….what do you think of Avery??
Man that’s a lot of drool love the hat though
Cute!
