As most of you know, I try always to makes sure the information I put out here is well documented. I miss it sometimes, but for the most part, if I post it, I am satisfied it is not simply a rumor or some juicy tidbit.

A couple of days ago someone said a definition for creflomania was in the dictionary. And without thinking about it, I posted the comment.

Fortunately, when I actually checked the dictionary, it turns out the reader was correct. Click on the thumbnail and be as amazed as I was when I saw it.

Cref Def

I knew Creflo was big and influential, but I didn’t think he had the horsepower to actually change the English language this fast.

Honestly, that’s not a bad idea for this blog.

A translation guide for ‘normal words’ into pimped out phrases.

Words and phrases such as: ‘Anointing’ and ‘Honored’ and any others that commonly come up in their sermons’.
Maybe with their original true meanings and translations to what the pimps want you to think they mean.

Melvin,
i have been blessed by your site for several months, but this is the first time that i have decided to post a comment. I was wondering if you would do a piece on the amount of phony “doctorates” held by Byndem, Hilliards, Cashflow, McClendon, Price, T Dexter et al. It seems to me that Byndem cannot even speak english correctly. Did she even finish high school. I would like to see the shcools and dates of graduations allong with degrees “earned” through acutal class attendence and study. I would also love to read their doctoral dissertaions. How funny would that be. Image all of the dissertaions on annointing and next level flow!

I came across this youtube of Juanita back in 98. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pjgf4yA_wZo&mode=related&search=

I viewed it a couple of times and broke out in tears of praise. Thanking God for pulling me out from blindness. Although I’ve never been to any of Juanita’s cnferences. I can remember being a “fan” and wanting to be “blessed” to get a chance to attend. Had I seen this back then I would have sworn this woman was ”chosen”.(shaking my head) Despite me being opposed to Benny Hinn , for which you would think he taught Juanita everything she knew in this video. I set back and review this, amazed at how blind I was, yet sooo thankful for the Holy Spirit, sites like this and others, that help many get deprogrammed from the Junatia’s, Dollar’s, Jake’s, White’s, Olsten’s Bryant’s and others.

Back in 1998 she could have very well been anointed, it is amazing what time and money does to ones zeal for the trueness of Christ and it is really sad. I never went to any of her revivals after one of my friends went and said she didn’t show up til 10 p.m. saying that the Holy Ghost told her not to come til then and the pastor of the church had prayed and told the people to leave and he left but they all stayed til she got there. My friend said she would never fool with her again. Money and power are a strange thing. They can take the most annointed and if they are not careful and really continue to seek the face of God that same money and power will take them down to the debts of hell trying to keep that wealth and that fame and fortune. Pray for our people we are just to flamboyant.

We are so fortunate in today’s world because of technology. Drive thru restaurant, microwave ovens, breakfast in a bar and more. Things can even happen quicker in the religious realm. No longer do I have to spend enormous amount of time in God’s written word, I can simply sow a seed and get a breakthrough. Sow a larger seed and move to the next level. We can even give a gift and get the prophet’s anointing.

Since its Garyv birthday I personally recommend the “valley of dry bones soap”. Gary it time you change, you can add years to your life and get rid of that heavy armor of God.

For years I been putting on the whole armor of God and have finally decided it really isn’t necessary. The modern day profits prophets have actually come up with a much better option. They have yet to combine them and what a wonderful time saving option it is. Take a miracle bath. That’s right, forget about the old fashion armor of God, just take a miracle bath. Everything we need is made available by various profits prophets. We can now get miracle water, miracle prayer cloths and miracle soap. The miracle soap can address my every condition in life. Yes Gary it can improve your life also, come on don’t be such a fundamentalist.

If I’m doubting my salvation I can pull out my bar of “If I be lifted soap”.

Whenever the affairs of the world mess up my mind, I take a miracle bath in “Master Mind soap”.

If my wallet is empty I bath in “Prosperity soap”.

I can even take a bath in “Prophet Awareness Soap”. (this is the soap Junie B should have used to avoid “the conflict”)

Well there are other soaps one for each day of the week http://www.zoeministries.com/public/themes/default.aspx?themeid=41 No matter what your situation a miracle bath will work. No more wasted prayer time, no more time wasted putting on the armor of God. Just take a miracle bath.

Hi Melvin:

As a lawyer, just a quick note that you can face
legal charges of accusing someone of theft if you
can not prove the charge of theft. It is libelous to
so state such an accusation without proof. Not saying
that Creflo will come after you but it is in his options
unless you can show specifics or factual details that
show he steals or has a tendency to steal.
This is the worse case scenario but we lawyers always
engage in worse case scenarios so that we can cover the whole gamut of legal possibilities.
My “free” advice. Delete that dictionary entry unless you
can present documented proofs or if you do not care
that he would sue you for defamation of character.

Thanks

(MN: Actually, Lafe, I didn’t say he steals any more than I said Tourette curses all the time. Naming a sickness after a person is not the same as accusing that person of stealing.

Besides, I am still a pimple on these people’s collective behind. I doubt they even know, or care, that I’m here. )

To: Lafe
From: Another lawyer

You should also know that satire/parody is protected 1st Amendment speech, where the “actual malice” standard outlined in New York Times v. Sullivan has proven to be difficult to apply in libel-by-satire cases. See Dallas Observer v. Isaacks (writ of certiorari denied by the U.S. Supreme Court, where the Texas Supreme Court ruled that a public official must prove that the defendant either had reckless disregard for whether readers would believe the story or knew that reasonable readers would believe the story.)

In other words, Creflo doesn’t have much of a case. . . and spending a lot of money to be the first person to prove up a libel-by-satire case is probably not tops on his agenda.

(MN: Yeah, I was just getting ready to say that. That’s right. :-) )

To TJM or all
I have a question. Frederick K.C. Price filed or threatened to file a suit against ABC for defamation of character maybe back in July. Do you know if the case was tossed out or still pending?

Comment by TJM
2007-10-23 08:14:34

Angela,

I don’t know, but I doubt the case has been tossed. It’s pretty early in the game considering he filed on July 23rd of this year.

A copy of the lawsuit as well as Fred’s video “setting the record straight” can be found at Crenshaw Index

Yahoo story here: Yahoo story about Religious Yahoo

Two observations:

1) I find it interesting that they filed this suit in state court rather than federal. State courts, especially when it comes to Constitutional issues, tend to be a bit loose with their interpretations. Federal courts, on the other hand, have a pretty well-defined body of case law to work with on this issue. Federal courts also tend to be more stricter with regard to rules, procedures and evidence. My guess is Price’s lawyers thought he had a better chance of convincing an elected California state judge of his case over a lifetime-appointed federal judge with no bias towards Price’s perceived “influence.”

2) Price also sued for intentional infliction of emotional distress. This cause of action is just as difficult to prove as defamation because you have to prove that the defendant’s conduct was egregious or outrageous (actual court words). Plaintiffs hardly ever win on emotional distress claims arising from defamation, but they throw it in the lawsuit to see if it will stick in case the defamtion claim fails (especially because you can get punitve damages). But if you notice in the copy of the lawsuit, Price only devotes one paragraph to the emotional distress claim.

All in all, seems like the lawsuit is a hustle to swindle some money from the deep pockets of ABC and Disney. But the reality is, ABC/Disney’s pockets are deep enough to take this case as far as they want it to go, and I don’t think Price wants to spend that kind of money to champion his “cause.”

(Comments wont nest below this level)
2007-10-23 09:04:16

And, if the folks at ABC/Disney find out about this little bit of information linked below, they might expose Price based on FACT.

See: Frederick K.C. Price and the Private Jet He’s Not Saying Much About These Days!

2007-10-23 09:00:11

Melvin, if you’re ever in doubt, just add the words “in my opinion” and they can’t touch you. Or you could say “according to a biblical standard” or something of this sort.

Either it’s your opinion or a theologically based assertion. And no judge can touch your theology :) . You’re not saying he’s stealing GOD IS AS NOTED IN SCRIPTURE, 1 Timothy 6:3-5, Acts 8:20-22!

If any of us was sued, I’d recommend seeing if you can demand the pimp’s financial records be made part of the case. All you need to show is how these pimps use the money for mostly things not supported by scripture. Let it be broadcast to the media too! These are theologically based assertions. We assert that the prosperity doctrine is a lie and a form of spiritual swindling and covetousness. I’ll put my hand on a Bible and promise (not swear) to tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth about that, so help me God.

In Canada, someone who exposes pimps is fighting a lawsuit right now. See: TACF Sues A Chrisitan

My question for the attorney that attempts to silence truth through fear is, “are you willing to defend the name and character of Christ from slander???” It is clear that the “Jesus for Sale” exploitation misrepresents and degrades the God that we serve (or should be serving). I was once sued for over $1 milloin dollars for speaking out against injustice and falsehood. By the grace and wisdom of God, it was brought to my attention that the best defense is TRUTH. By the way, God was even more gracious when I won the suit and filed a countersuit all in the name of TRUTH. Remember, God’s word states that the law is for the lawless. We are to judge the fruit of pimps by God’s law…regardless of what man says…especially a man that does not pursue truth.

But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even ”denying the Lord” that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.

I accidentally fell upon your website and I frankly have to say that I am quite shocked at the things that I have seen here. I am not a scholar by any means, but someone who’s life has been surrendered to Jesus and touched by the Holy Spirit.

I am sure that there will be a number of you boldly replying to my comments with absolute conviction in your hearts in what you believe to be truth.

But this I sincerely pray… That the Lord would touch each of our hearts to convict us in our OWN unrighteousness. While I understand frustration in seeing people blessed when they don’t appear to have it all together, I do not believe that you are doing the body of Christ a service here.

(MN: If it’s not a service, why does God tell us, in His word, to do exactly what I am doing? He tells us to warn, stay away from, mark and other verbs when it comes to the men and women who would market you through a presentaion of a false gospel. I hope He will convict you that you have to obey His entire word, not just the parts you’ve apparently been trained to respond to. )

Matthew 7:1 and 2 Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgement ye judge, you shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.

(MN: And in bunches of other places He and Paul, and Peter say we are to judge righteous judgment. We are to mark those who teach a lie. How do we mark them, how do we note them, how do we warn others about them if we don’t judge (analyze and pronounce wrong) the words and actions of the false teachers? )

If particular houses of worship don’t seem to appeal to you… leave and pray that the Holy Spirit would touch those in ministry there and that God would reveal himself more clearly to them.

(MN: It’s not a matter of the place not appealing to me. It’s a matter of warning others to stay away from the “house of worship” [whatever that is]. Tammy’s House of Pole Dancing might appeal to me. But I’m still going to warn people away from it. )

We have all sinned and have come short of the glory of God. Please I emplore those of you that read and write these things here to truly seek God’s direction.

(MN: Certainly we have all sinned. Does that mean if the pastor is caught in adultery or sex abuse I should over look it since I have lied at one time or another? Please use Scripture in a way that actually makes sense. )

There is so much sin in the world. Let’s not add to that by defaming our own body. Noah’s son covered his father’s nakedness… he did not expose his father’s drunkeness.

(MN: Yes, there is so much sin in the world. So why in the world would I want to do nothing as more of it manifests itself? (a little WoFer lingo there) After all, there is so much adultery and lying. Maybe I should just keep quiet when the pastor gets cuaght with his hand in the church cookie jar. )

The book we rely is in not full of wonderfully perfect lives. On the contrary, it is full of people who messed up, who did it their own way, who did not find the blessing till they did things God’s way.

(MN: What does that have to do with our instructions in that same book? Are you saying that we want to be led by men who kill another man so he can have his wife? Perhaps you mean you would prefer we have a pastor who gets so drunk he fall out, naked as a jay bird. Or maybe, just maybe, you want a man who kills Christians. )

Stop and think for a moment what The Lord God Almighty will say to you as you fall on your knees before his throne with hands up in adoration to Him. Will he say “Well done, thou good and faithful servant?” I know he will for me.

(MN: Stop and think for a moment. What does God say we are supposed to react to those who would market the children of God. )

We are here on this earth to be the extended hand of God. We are to love as Jesus loved. Give as Jesus gave. Show Mercy as Jesus showed Mercy. (MN: Lady, I strongly suspect that you haven’t a clue as to the relationship of the Christian to the world. Again, you are the kind of person who makes is so easy for the pimps to live large without doing a lick of real work in their life. Are you sure you want to face Jesus Christ after doing so little to stop the abuse? )

He who is without sin… please step up and cast a stone.

(MN: I gotta admint though, that you did an excellent job of presenting every single hackneyed excuse for keeping our mouths shut and letting the pimping continue. Congratulations. And I hope that God eventually convicts you to get up off your keester and speak out against the pimps and their associated pimpettes. )

May God Richly Bless all who read and write here and may the Holy Spirit continue to convict us in our daily lives… that we might be more like the God we serve.

No one has addressed you yet Carsten. So I will be the first. Before you thing we are attacking Creflo, follow some of the threads. Read what Melvin has posted and what Creflo has said with his own mouth.

I agree, Creflo does a bunch of good things for people. But so did Hitler. It is n’t about how much good you do, but about what you are teaching. Mormons and Jehova Witnesses are great people and I know some Mormons who would give you the shirt off of their back; however, regardless of how nice they are, their teachings will land you in Hell.

I really would like for you (and so would Melvin, IC, Gary V, Kyle, Angela and Deb) to research this guy before you come to his rescue. Carsten,

What makes you “like” his show? Also, can you not discern the difference between the lives of the apostles verses the lives of these Pimps? Gandhi did great works for people. Is he in Heaven now? Carsten, just because someone claims Jesus does not necessarily know Jesus. In essence you will know them by their fruit. That being said what fruit does Creflo bear? Creflo brings a gospel of prosperity not the gospel of the bible. Lastly let us not forget that a good measure of your Christianity is not how many people “like” you but how many people despise you for the truth. Creflo and his ilk are lauded by just about everyone. Look at 2 Corinthians 6:4 and 2 Corinthians 11:23 and tell me if this describes Creflo. I think not. Creflo is pampered and revered like the ancient Jewish leaders at the time.

Melvin why aren’t you posting my comments? Explain please!

(MN: Let me put it in simple, succinct terms. I’m not posting your comments because they are still nonsense.

You are as flighty now as you were a year ago and I have no intention of subjecting the readers to your brand of irrationality.

Any questions about what I wrote? )

Well don’t post them. You’re as bad as the pulpit pimps in my opinion. I decided to support you and here you are blasting me. Well, thanks for giving me a reason not to support you yet again. (MN: You’re welcome. ) I will officially stay the hell away from your hell bound (grave bound) site. (MN: Thank you. )

I believe we put the pimps on blast for doctrinal error EPAINOS……..after looking at your rather wacky positions, I’d say that describes you.

This article is DEEP regarding Creflo…his acts in Uganda are characterized as “raping” of the people…

Yes, the pimps are taking their show world-wide, but God is taking His truth there too!

No one seems to have a problem with athelets, actors, corporate business men, rappers prospering, having jets, multiple homes. They get their money for entertaing the people. But the ministers of the gospel trying to restore lives, trying to save people from a real place called hell, are being bashed by the same spirit that yelled, crusify him. I know the reason behind all these ungodly remarks. The people making them have their spiritual eyes blinded by the god of this world and their tongues are set on fire by hell.the prayer in Ephe. state simply ,pray that the eyes of their understanding become open. It is never safe to touch God’s anointed even if one fell they are wrong.David new this and he protected Saul.I truly feel so sorry for these people.Where there is jealosy, envy and strife’there is every evil work.Sad,Sad people.

(MN:
1. No one has a problem with athletes making a lot of money. The athletes don’t lie to the people they are supposed to be helping. The athletes don’t twist Scripture to trick the sheeple into giving them money. The athletes EARN their money from the owners. If they didn’t deliver, they would get fired.

2. The ministers of the gospel are trying to restore lives - trying to save people from a real place called hell. The Gospel is FREE. It doesn’t take millions of dollars, a jet plane, a 20,000 square foot home to preach the gospel and to minister to people’s needs. It’s done all the time by individuals.

3. The people making them have their spiritual eyes blinded… The Bible says we are to expose the wolves. It says the Gospel is to be freely given. It says we are to be content with having our needs met.

4. It is never safe to touch God’s anointed. These wolves and pimps are not God’s anointed. The average Christian - the one being robbed by the pimps, is God’s anointed.

All you do is make it possible for the wolves and pimps to continue to fleece the flock. God will judge you for you inaction and your laziness. )

Maria Martin,

Please understand that false teachers are in the church destroying lives, not restoring them.

The gospel that (Dollar, Jakes, Bynum, White, Copeland, Popoff, Du Plantis, Long, Meyer, Hinn, Price, Hilliard ect.) preach is very much different than the gospel that Jesus preached.

So many people are dying everyday. And you know what sermon these people hear repeatedly…..”financial breakthrough” sermons, “abundant life” sermons”, and “come get your blessing” sermons..

But these dying people never do get a “Make war against your favorite sin” sermon.

People are dying in their sins. People are believing themselves to be saved, and believing themselves to be going to heaven, and all they get is “be the better you sermons.”
Then they die and find out all along that they were Not saved, and all they did was fake a religious walk with a hopeless attempt to use godliness as a means to gain self-esteem, or something shiny.

Maria, these people are exiting the world as I type this. But guess what…..the last sermon many of them hear talks more about materialism, and living an “abundant life” than fighting their own sin.

If you think that Christians need to hear an “abundant life” or “become the better you” message, then consider this:

The pornographic industry in America makes more $$$ than the MLB, NBA, NFL, and NHL combined….America is a nation where at least 60% of its people are Christian.

We need to chill out on chasing material blessings, and breakthroughs. These teachers are shifting the goal to getting a “breakthrough”, when our focus should be on glorifying God; not glorifying God for “stuff,” but glorifying God because He loved us.

I agree with you solideogloriafella and Melvin about your comments to Ms Martin. I am sure many of us remember the storybook of the Pied Piper. With his music, he piped and piped until the whole town was drawn to him and followed him into destruction. This is what these televangelist and false prophets represent. They give you a watered down vesion of what the bible says to entice your flesh, the gospel of itching ears. The gospel that will lead you into the pit of hell. Lets tell it like it is about hell and yes, many people left this earth and are now leaving this earth and will leave this earth deceived by the devil. This is Satan’s kingdom but he knows that his time is up Rev 12:12 but he is dragging disciples with him. That’s why you see things are more perverse than ever. Paul and Peter, plus John through the Holy Spirit gave guidelines to His Christian elect on how to fight and rejoice in Him. Psa 37 is a very good scripture because it tells you why you shouldn’t be envious when you see the wicked prosper. That prosperity gospel is dangerous because not everyone on this earth is designed by the Father to be rich. Besides He is more focused on your spiritual being when you read the four gospels. Therefore, they are preaching and living contrary to Jesus teachings.

Friends, don’t complain about each other. A far greater complaint could be lodged against you, you know. The Judge is standing just around the corner.
James 5:9 (MSG)
Grudge not one against another, brethren, lest ye be condemned: behold, the judge standeth before the door.
James 5:9 (KJV)
We fight and quibble amongst ourselves and the devil and the government wins.

(MN: Sorry Tinyview. Saying Jesus suffered in hell for our sins is not a quibble. Saying that God will bless you if you get in the $1000 line is not a quibble. While I certainly appreciate your sentiment, your sentiment also allows the wolves and pimpettes to operate without any kind of restraint. )
