I love this woman!
This video presents a distillation of why Christianity is being pimped in the Black community.
How many people, Black or White, call themselves Christians and live pretty much any way they want? How many people party on Friday and Saturday (into the wee hours) and then drag themselves to church to listen to some pimp tell them that they’re not the tail, but they’re the head? How many of them sit comfortably in a church building listening to the preacher as he completely ignores the essentials of the faith - holiness, obedience, self-denial, discipline and all those other uncomfortable things?
Listen to these to men as they get trapped in their own words and react like a couple of deer in headlights. While it’s sad to think that these two dudes actually represent the norm within American Christianity, it was hilarious to watch them try to talk their way out of their own foolish words. And the interesting thing is that they mouth the same word most of the pimp enablers spout here on this site.
If you click on the image, it will take you to the site.
I want this woman to marry my son - my single son.
hahahaha! This was posted on another site and the fellas was like, “Is she married!” lol I wanna be like her one day, (I’m a female!) She was on point!
Which other site was this posted on?
WOW! These men represent the state of the church. I screamed when I saw their response and how it lined up with the teachings of these pimps and profits. The guy in the green shirt immediately wen into God wants us to prosper when his faith was questioned. AHHHH! Praise the LORD God for this woman who knows His word. More on this later…
Naw that guy doesn’t represent any prosperity teaching anymore than he represents traditional Christian principles. I’ll bet he’s not even part of a so call prosperity ministry. He goes to a church that one day they were hollering and screaming and the next day they were talking about money but to his demise the theology change doesn’t matter since he’ll twist any belief system to fit his sin sick life style.
Funny you mention this. I had a conversation with my Sister-in-law and uncle-in-law, during the summer, about our responsibility to live a holy life. Their contention was that it doesn’t matter how you live; all that matters is that you profess Christ as your Lord and savior. From there i went to the Bible to share with them the book of James, which tells us that faith with out works is dead (i.e. to profess Christ’s name with out a manifestation of that faith, is worthless). They continued to say “it doesn’t matter, its about how the individual feels inside”. From there i asked them, “so the Bible is of no use then?”, “we might as well throw all of our Bibles in the trash”. Of course they laughed with hesitation, because they understood where i was getting at. Yet, she continued to pronounce boldly that, “I can party all i want, and I know that I am saved, Jesus Christ is my personal Lord and Savior, I don’t care what you say!”, and of course my uncle co-signed with the following statement “its good that you are in your Bible, but you may need to go to seminary school to learn the original Greek. The bible you have, my brother, is not the original translation”… *Like the original Greek, will justify deliberate and constant sin* Right…lol Oh! did i mention that both are FAITHFUL church-goers? And at the end of the conversation, she (sarcastically) offered to let me borrow her Greek lexicon to study? Wow! I’m sure the churches are doing a great work in holding the people accountable.
Does her lexicon offer a different spin on Matthew 7:21-23, or how about Hebrews 12:1-2?
At best people with that view will wind up in Heaven bankrupt, 1 Corinthians 3:12-17 and of course they might find that they are the proud recipient of an “I never knew you”.
truthofgod, it is a wonderful thing that you stood on the word of God despite the statements your family memebers made. Our Father in heaven said that His people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. We live in a world where people are just man word for it, nobody wants to read the bible anymore. I can’t even tell you how many people I met that believes Jesus is a license to sin. It is like they refuse to see the relationship between Jesus Christ as personal Lord and Savior and repentance, for repent does mean to change. I guest so called Christians need something to jusitfy their sin, I am so sick and tired of the Greek translation excuse. See, when it is a conviction message dealing with sin, the church wants to go back into the Greek translation to confirm, but when it is a prosperity message that tells them their break through is coming and that million dollar house is just around the corner—they don’t need a Greek translation for that because that sermon is plan and clear. I deal with the same thing with my mother because one she is a catholic, two- she always listen to Oprah, who is a Heretic. Everytime I speak truth to her from the Bible, she gets angry because she believes Jesus is a license to sin and that God is a forgiving God who understands our sin or unclean spirits. I love my mother and all, but she is destroyed because for her lack of knowledge.
Dear Melvin:
Man, thanks for shring this piece, it was awesome. This young woman was on it without a doubt. As I listened to her boldness, I was encouraged that we apparently still have a few of us who take God at His Word!
To listen to these two young men give their non-sense rationale, made my heart reach out to them as I know that from their words, they are either lost…or very badly backslidden and needs to repent! Thanks again for giving me something to think about as I always try to search my own heart and life to see if there is anything there that shouldn’t be. Pray for me.
Blessings!
BT
Oh yes, the dude that says “Get Rich or Die Trying” or the dude that inked a $100,000,000 deal with some major corporation, or the dude that used to date one of my family members back in the days in New York before he became famous. The dude that Tyler Perry’s character Madea called Creflo Dollar’s half brother, hey! half of a dollar. Dollar is sending folks to hell one way and Fifty-Cent is send them there another way. That’s him. The WOFers would just love him and yes, that female interviewer is a treasure from the Lord.
I saw this on IC. We are not holding each other and ourselves accountable because we want to think that it is okay to do all those things and still make it into heaven that is why the pimps are doing so well. Pretty sad!
Ditto @ Stacey
I saw this at ICs site and commented there. One issue regarding this that no one has touched thus far could be the correlation between the Pimps and the secular music artist and the subsequent result. What I am saying is that if you listened to these young guys they let their Prosperity Gospel slip out. Listen to it again if you missed it. That being said these people are probably getting fed the same line of crap spewed by the mega-Pimps WHO JUST HAPPEN TO ENDORSE AND ARE IN CAHOOTS WITH THE SECULAR MUSIC ARTISTS. Just look at the connection of fast Eddie and Ludacris and Usher. Look at Junie and her connections to the secular world. Or how about Jakes. When you r paradigm of Christianity is a compromising Church at the highest level what would you expect from anyone else. Sad.
Kyle
POWERFUL…….I run into this exact attitude everytime I’m out on the street witnessing. I used to walk away with a “God bless you” whenever I began to present the Gospel and someone told me that they were already a Christian.
You can’t do that anymore……….if you probe a little bit you see that they know the Name, but nothing else.
That woman in the video is FULL of the Word too………praise God, it fires me up to get back out there!!
Awesome, really tight example of how we are to witness to to people.I am so sick of these shake your booty so called Christians. They want their sin and Jesus too.The sad part is that unlike this young lady.Too many believers/preachers are afraid to confront sinners with their sin.
I mentioned a few weeks back how Rodney howard Browne came to my island for a “Great awakening tour”.They claim thousands of souls were saved. They have these scripts that they read to those they are witnessing too. The first line is “God has a wonderful plan for your life”.You can guess the rest.No mention of repentance or the standard to OBEY the Lord Jesus.Like these two cats in the video all people want a savior but very few want a Lord.
This speaking is awesome I’m going to show this to our youth group at church.By the way Mel I’m gonna hook her up with my son LOL.
Hi Jcrep32
I agree with your statement about people want him as Savior but not Lord. That is so true.
I believe because we have these “seeker friendly” buildings where people go at praise gawd. The preachers are not so much afraid to speak or confront people with their sin, because it is all about marketing and capitalism. It stopped being about the soul along time ago. Therefore, in order to keep their pockets lined with money they will not preach on what it really means to follow Jesus. You cannot tell many professing christians today to Deny themselves, take up their cross and follow Him. They will leave and then the money will go right with them. Talk about making merchandise of the people.
Peace and Blessings
Angela
I really want to show this too as an example when i get a little older because i am trying to become a youth leader. It’s a perfect example of how even our young people are livin today too. Even more so young people. And your right on point with the OBEY aspect of the gospel. Because really OBEYING and BELIEVING Jesus is the gospel. So if anyone claims what they are preaching is the gospel, and not bringing up these two esintial values, they are not preaching the gospel. God did’nt call us to be shy and reserved, He called us to be strong and courageous in the word. Yet theres a distinct difference in Believing God and shallowly believing in Him.
Hi GaryV
I am in agreement with you. When we used to do our street witnessing a lot of folks would profess that they are saved or knew Jesus as Savior and we would move on to the next person.
Peace and Blessings
Angela
Powerful video (and kudos to the woman who was ministering, for she gave a true example of what a true prophetess/godly female minister of the Word looked like…..)
Honestly, the video is something I think’s symptomatic of a bigger issue. People basically think that you get to heaven by either being a good person, or being sincere ……..and as long as you “did the best you could” or belonged to a “spiritual” place like church, you’re cool with God.
That young woman and the Passion for Christ Movement are definitely necessary, timely and extremely visionary. I am looking forward to a lot more of this type of “street evangelism”. God is truly a TODAY God. Kudos to the interviewer, she is truly a reader of her Bible, and you can tell that the Word is alive in her. Praise God. The Word is washing her and she has a gentle/bold way of telling the story of God’s mercy. She spoke the truth in love. I love it. I would watch that “reality show”
Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. Phi 2:12
The young men are famished, they know no Bible and believe that the weight of their ignorance rest upon the shoulders of their Pulpit Pimp. They have no clue as to what a “Godly” man is. That is so very sad. These men have no understanding, God says we perish for lack of knowledge, but will anybody listen?
This “I believe in God but I know nothing about the God I believe in”, mentality is really ticking God off. We need to wake up and stop piddley-patting around with the Creator of heaven and earth and all that in them is.
The problem is that the vast majority of people falsely believe that on judgment day they will be able to “plead ignorance”. We all need to be reminded of the last chapter of the last book of the bible.
Revelation 22:12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.
Peace
This is pitiful, just pitiful. Bad part about it, is you’ll hear this just about everywhere (in and out of church) you go. People justifying their actions, when it’s crystal clear they are in the wrong. My only hope is that these guys felt convicted, after the young lady laid some scripture on them.
This video is an excellent demonstration of the weak false Christianity that’s prevelant today. You know the old saying, “Birds of a feather…”. The Apostel Paul said in Romans 6:1 “What shall we say then, shall we continue in sin that grace may abound, God forbid.” The so called “Body of Christ” has no idea of what repentance is. We are instructed to repent of our sins. Repent means to acknowledge, apologize, and abort… terminate that life style, turn away from that lifestyle. But the Church world today embrasses sin, because you can’t fill an overing bucket preaching Holiness or Hell.
I remember Tyler Perry’s character Madea saying that Fifty Cent was Creflo Dollar’s half brother. As I see it, Dollar is leading folks to hell one way and Fifty Cent is leading them another way. There’s a thin line between the so called gospel industry and the secular industry or would it be good to say that they have crossed borders in these last days. Those two guys are just two sheeps that is being lead into the slaughter. However, I hope they have gotten something out of the young lady’s message about what true Christianity means before it is too late.
Very true. We are of a street ministry out on “Skid Row” in downtown LA for the past 3 & 1/2 years, and even those whom are extremely downtrodden will do the same as they know the name but “act out” without concern. The key is not to argue, or debate their Words but to appeal to the heart (from the Word) showing evidence of sin in all men and the need for repentance.
Most listen. Not all respond (of course), and some do in knee-jerk fashion. But there are those who truely desire to hear the Word and be corrected, and even ask for prayer concerning themselves.
Does the result have a whirlwind effect? Yes, but not according to our standard, as some have hardened hearts & bitterness beyond imagination. But to those who do respond have left the streets and returned the Saturdays we are out there (6am) with interesting testimonies.
The best witness is in the faith showing the evidence (as TOG stated) through the work. Kudo as showing them the Word as their reference. They will be accountable for what he revealed to them through you.
Thank goodness the style of the minister in that video was counter to the countless examples of poor Street Preachers you see nowadays.
We had some come to my college recently, who used a loudspeaker/ began calling out sins, quoting Scripture & blasting everyone in sight. Some things said:
· “Homosexuals/Masturbators & Fornicators are going to Hell!!!!
· You’re nothing but a bunch of animalistic beasts!!!! God hates Sin, & Heaven’s a perfect place for perfect people, so REPENT NOW!!”"
ANYTIME they were questioned for their methods, they’d say that prophets in the OT/NT denounced sin publicly in that manner.
If opposition requested reasonable dialogue, they’d write them off/ continue shouting “Heaven or HELL!!!!” Got so bad that the police had to eventually come & calm things down……
Can you imagine if that woman did the same at the BET conference?!!! That’d been even crazier than the responses those men gave….but thankfully she gave an example of what effective witnessing looks like:
Colossians 4:5-6
5Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity. 6Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.
It was encouraging to hear how a sister was presenting the scripture in a way that wasn’t offensive, yet spoke with boldness. To also present it in a manner that it could not be said she was out of order. Very encouraging!
Closeout sale at bishopweek.com!! This is priceless.

I laughed so hard I got tears in my eyes on that one, and it’s bishopweeks.com by the way. I can only imagine the writeup Melvin or IC could do on that one, but it almost writes itself, sadly. And the banner graphic in the video had it right on the nose… Ridiculous indeed!
Lynn C and P-P Family: All I can say is, And “the beat” goes on…” Memories of a million-dollar farce going for just $10.00. Don’t tell me The Lord God doesn’t have a sense of humor!
LOL! This video was funny and immensely sad at the same time. Those brothers were as lost as OJ was at his “sting” operation…lol.
Does anybody know the link to this video? I want to send it to all my friends.
(MN: Try here. )
Hi Melvin & PP Family!!!
Jeremiah 17: 9-10 The heart is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked; who can know it. I the Lord search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways and according to the fruit of his doings.
I agree this is the state of the “chuch” (LOL). That is the excuse people always give it’s all about what’s in your heart. If they would read their bible they would think twice about making that statement. Then again they don’t read or have no desire to read. Just a sad situation and a state to be in.
Peace and Blessings
Angela
Angela, do we have to read (asked with sarcasm)? especially when you can get/buy the tape/cd/dvd and listen to it in your car all week until next week’s message!!!
My Bishop told us in this morning’s service to stand in line no matter how long and buy this word he preached today…he also said that we didn’t have to listen to anything else but this word!!! Does this include the BIble???
This is so misleading and manipulative. I release my Bishop unto God to deal with him if he is guilty of anything wrong.
When’s the last time anyone was encouraged to read?
The IRS needs to put a stop to this.
These ‘brothers” are on the take. They are not
professing anything worthy of Christ. Their rap about
Chris is lame and when confronted with the word, they
dissolved.
I am hoping that their lives and their responses are
not indicative of the state of the black church.
How can anyone believer think That Fifty Cents is
a man of God is delusional and is walking in lunacy.
If you were to press these “brothers” about their
walk with the Lord and their confession of Jesus as Lord, they would not pass the test.
Pray that they will come out of the darkness that they
are in.!
Extolling a sinner like Fifty Cents and he thinks that
that is OK?!
We have lost it…..may God have mercy on us all.
WOW WOW WOW!!!!
That is awesome! She walked them so smoothly into it and then they were completely caught off guard. That is some powerful stuff. The girl knows her word too!! That is what I’m talking about.
“I used to say I was Christian sleeping with my man and smoking pot!”……
This is so encouraging. It is awesome right before class to see and hear this.
BTW MJ thanks for that. I didn’t know that GodTube existed. Awesome stuff. Now I have a place to go when I’m being slothful.
Off topic, but “by their fruits shall ye know them”

She was great!
Keep posting this stuff. I’m new to the blog but enjoying it a ton.
Welcome aboard Ann……….
This is so hilarious and yet so very sad. I must repeat what I have said at other times. We are fulfilling prophecy we are seeing it every day and are refusing to look at it. We have I that do not see, ears that will not hear, and very dull minds. Because if we did not we would turn to God (the way that He wants us to in obedience) and He would heal the land.
However, we are just as stiff-necked and rebellious and God’s chosen people were. And that same God’s name is JESUS.
People, we had better WAKE UP!
2Chr.7:14, If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways……Sad to say that we as a nation forgotten about God. We hardly here preachers preach against sin anymore. They’re too proud and arrogant, they hardly pray anymore and when they do, it’s for prosperity reasons. (increase, financial wealth, etc.) They ask amiss. They’re seeking everything ecxept God and refuse to turn from their wicked ways and have cause the masses of individuals who don’t read the Word of God for themselves, to follow their pernicious ways and Walla…people are just living any kind of way and think they’re going to heaven. Wake up people. We WILL give in account for our ways. And when stand before the judgement seat of Christ, you just might hear the famous words of Gomer Pile,” SURPRISE SURPRISE SURPRISE” cos’ you ain’t getting in. “…I never knew you…” Please my brothers and sisters, let’s get back to the Bible. Read it, live it, apply it. Because there’s a generation coming after us who will need to see true examples of the Faith.
When is this sista’ taking her God-given interviewing skills to the pulpits all over the country???? I would pay more than ten percent to support God’s work through her!
To all those giving this young lady kudos for how she proclaimed the Word to those two men, would she be welcomed in a pulpit preaching the same Gospel to a congregation?
(MN: No. There are specific restrictions on women preaching from the pulpit - you know, pastor, teaching elder, stuff like that. There is nothing that says a saved woman cannot present the Gospel to an unsaved man, which is apparently what was happening here. Of course I assume this two schlepps are not saved. )
We recently had a discussion where may said women shouldn’t be preachers. This woman is a good example of why we need good female pastors. (MN: No, she’s not. She is an example of why we should all take responsibility for presenting the Gospel. That is not the same as pastor [which has specific rules set out for it. )
Discouraged, you should have read that discussion about women more carefully. The issue isn’t whether or not women should share the Gospel. The Bible clearly says they should. The issue is whether or not women should hold positions of authority within the church.
GaryV,
The woman on the tape sounds pretty power and authoritative to me. It’s a shame she can’t promote the same Gospel from a pulpit but it’s okay for her to promote it in the streets. Especially when you consider that there are mostly men in pulpits promoting things that don’t even resemble the Gospel.
Discouraged:
Who are you “speck of dust”, to call God’s Word that clearly prohibits a woman from the office of a Bishop, Elder, Pastor and even a Deacon to be a shame.
Be careful Sir:
Proverbs 18:21 - Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.
Matthew 12:13 - For by thy words thou shall be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.
(He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches:)
1 Timothy 3:2 - This is a true saying, If a MAN desire the office of a Bishop, he desireth a good work.
1 Timothy 3:3 - A Bishop then must be blameless, the HUSBAND of ONE WIFE, vigilant, sober, of good behavior, given to hospitality, apt to teach;
1 Titus 1:5 - For this cause left I thee in Crete, that thou shouldest set in order the things that are wanting, and ordain Elders in every city, as I had appointed thee;
1 Titus 1:6 - If any be blameless, the HUSBAND of ONE WIFE, having faithful children not accused of riot or unruly.
1 Timothy 3:12 - Let the Deacon be the HUSBAND of ONE WIFE, ruling their children and their own houses well.
In the love of Jesus the Christ,
Deb
Discouraged, why don’t you try to bring some actual SCRIPTURE to support your argument??
Rhetorical question………..you don’t because you can’t, and for some reason that doesn’t bother you.
Let me show you what that looks like on the MB, OK??
THERE ARE NINE IN THE GODHEAD…………The Father is a triune being, the Son is a triune being, and the Holy Spirit is a triune being.
Benny Hinn said that. Can he support it by Scripture?? No. Does that bother him?? No.
That’s what you look like. You have your pet doctrine that is in direct contradiction to Scripture, but you don’t care that you make God a liar everytime you promote it here. You have never once brought a single Scriptural proof that supports your theory. You have never once taken the Scriptural evidence provided for you and even bothered to try and refute it. You cannot support your doctrine in any way………..but you stick with it anyway.
Do you believe there’s 9 in the Godhead too?? WHY NOT?? It has just as much Scriptural support as YOUR “Women In Authority” theory.
You despise God’s Word…….period. Either prove your doctrine from Scripture, or refute our Scriptural evidence from Scripture, or just ADMIT you despise the Word and be done with it.
Oh,and one more thing Discouraged……..your beef isn’t with ME,it’s with God and His Word. Take it up with Him.
GaryV,
You are wrong. I have, in a previous post, cited scripture to support my theological position and belief. I am a Christian. I do not have to defend myself to you or anyone else as I am confident and secure in my faith and beliefs. Now, if you want to be angry and annoyed at that, it’s your choice.
I am here to dialogue, not argue and debate. I understand that others choose to debate. I don’t. Melvin controls what is posted here. I am sure since I have been called a “typical unbeliever” and now a “speck of dust” my posts will soon disappear from this site.
I am not trying to upset anyone. I am just offering another point of view.
Guess what, there are LOTS of Christians who have no problem with women in the pulpit. I don’t think we are all going to hell because of that.
If you believe otherwise, that’s fine with me.
(MN: Discouraged, here is the extent of your use of Scripture in the 43 comments you have made since August 30.
1. Jesus asked us only to love God with all our hearts and follow His (God’s) commandments and to love one another as we love ourselves (Matt 22:37-40).
Remember, Gary has been talking about the authority of the words of Jesus vs the authority of all of scripture. Even your use of that verse was because, according to you, since they are Jesus’ they have more authority than anything that follows.
It seems that you people really don’t know how to present your case and expect me to just let you natter on unfettered. And if I don’t, you accuse me of “not wanting the other side of the issue to be heard.”
The only problem with that is the othe side DOESN’T SAY ANYTHING. GaryV’s point is a perfect example. All you have said is “The letters in red are more authoritative than the letters in black. And I don’t see anything wrong with women as pastors. ”
If you were using scripture, you would present something from Christ - something like “Verily I say that unless someon doth quoteth me in one Gospels that are going to be written, anything that is written after my quotes be of lesser authority. [The Gospel According to St. Discouraged 4:7 ] But all you have said is “The stuff Paul wrote isn’t in red so I don’t have to listen to it. This is nonsense and shows a complete disregard for virtually all of the Bible. Can you doubt that GaryV would doubt your position with Christ?
By the way, I do wish you people would stop implying that if I don’t like your comments then your postings will be disappeared. How long did I let LSW natter on? Poor William from a year ago got lots of bandwidth. Remember, I will stop posting your comments if they are BORING, not if I disagree with them. And what makes a comment BORING? Saying the same thing over and over again without presenting Scriptural evidence and without addressing the issues from Scripture that are raised. You have done neither. You get one more shot at addressing the issue. If you fail, the discussion on the authority of the red words ends. )
Discouraged:
Without the Word of God and his leading I also would be nothing but a “speck of dust”
What strikes me about you is your absolute unwillingness to forget what Tom, Dick, Henry or Sally does, and to see what the scriptures says. Maybe if you spoke more like the Psalmist you wouldn’t sound like a “typical unbeliever”
Psalm 119 - Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path
Discouraged: I am not trying to upset anyone. ” I am just offering another point of view”.
Deb: And I ask you sir,
Isaiah 10:13 - Who hath directed the Spirit of the Lord, or being his counsellor hath taught him?
Romans 11:13 - For who hath know the mind of the Lord? or who hath been his counsellor?
Discouraged: Guess what, there are LOTS of Christians who have no problem with women in the pulpit. I don’t think we are all going to hell because of that.
Deb: Your unbelief shall not make the faith of God without effect.
Isaiah 55:9 - For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my “thoughts” than your thoughts.
Isaiah 3:12 - As for my people, children are their oppressors, and “women rule over them”. O my people they which lead thee cause thee to err, and destroy the way of thy paths.
Deb: Do you know that there is a way the seem right unto a man, but the end thereof is the way of death?
Proverbs 14:12 and Proverbs 16:25
Stop following the “LOTS” crowd, but submit yourself to the teachings of Christ through His Word.
Psalms 1:1 - Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungoldy, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
True women of God:
Are committed to discovering and becoming all that God had in mind for them, and readily accept all that He requires of them through His Word.
1 Timothy 5:14 - I will therefore that the younger women marry, bear children, guide the house, and give none occasion to the adversary to speak reproachfully.
Proverbs 31:11 - The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil. She will do him good and not evil all the days of his life.
Titus 2:3-5 - The aged women likewise that they be in behavior as becometh holiness. Not false accusers, not given to much wine, “teachers of good things that they may teach the (younger women) to be sober to love their husband, to love their children to be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands that the Word of God be not blasphemed.”
A women of Holy scripture is in search of those things that God wills for her to do, and pursue those things with a passion born out of love for Him, and offer them from a heart of true submission to His Word.
In the love of Jesus the Christ,
Deb
Discouraged, I never questioned your salvation…….I said you despise the Word. Lots of folks are IN the Body but hold the Word in small esteem until they grow. They simply don’t know any better.
Nobody goes to hell for believing women should have authority over men.
Now, you have NEVER, I repeat NEVER either offered a Scripture that supports women in the pulpit or that the red words are more authoritative, nor have you EVER bothered to answer the verses posted to you.
GaryV: Discouraged, I never questioned your salvation…….I said you despise the Word. Lots of folks are IN the Body but hold the Word in small esteem until they grow. They simply don’t know any better.
Despise: (1) To regard with scorn, or contempt. (2) To regard with extreme hostility or dislike. (3) To regard as trivial or worthless. Webster’s II New Riverside University Dictionary
Deb’s Question: How may a person despise the Word of God and be saved in Him at the same time?
Hebrews 9:28 - He that despised Moses’ law died without mercy under two or three witnesses;
Hebrews 9:29 - Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?
In the love of Jesus the Christ,
Deb
Hey Deb-ATL,
I know you were probably addressing your question to GaryV, but I would like to chime in if you don’t mind.
I think that Gary is implying that a saved individual can despise God’s Word and not know it. They can have an experience driven mentality that shapes the way they view and interpret scripture which causes them to, in essence, despise the scriptures. Believe me, when I was first saved I was an Arminian and whenever I discussed my views on salvation, I would discuss them from that viewpoint. If that meant that I had to twist a scripture and make it fit what I had accepted as truth (and it did mean that), then I would make pretzels out of the Word. In essence, I despised the Word and I didn’t even know it. God in time brought the light of the truth to me and changed a lot, if not all of my views.
You sited some very important warnings from Hebrews but I believe that they were addressed to those who with full understanding of what the Word teaches, yet would despise that Word, not to the ignorant. Now in the case of Discouraged, I think that those scriptures could apply to him/her but I’m not sure so I won’t say that they do. Discouraged may be in the same boat that I was in, immaturity. None the less he/she must continually be challenged to submit to God’s Word. Therefore, keep up the good work.
By the way, G, if I was off on what you meant please forgive me. I didn’t intend to speak for you but to give my own opinion.
Brother L, you are truly my brother from another mother…………no way could I have said it as well as you just did, and that’s precisely what I meant DebD.
My experience mirrors Brother L (surprise, surprise). God Elected me for some unfathomable reason, I was Redeemed by Christ, but when the Word didn’t line up with my experience, I just blocked it out as “God doing a new thang.Or if the Bible told me something I shouldn’t do that the pastor said I could, I accepted the pastor’s rationalization despite what the Word clearly said. Or when I was told that God wanted me rich, I liked that so much that I skipped over the verses that blew that doctrine out of the water.
Now, I had memorized quite a bit of Scripture. I read and studied every day. If you had asked me or those who knew me you would have heard what a lover of the Word I was……….but I actually despised the Word. My heart wasn’t to obey, but to use the Word to rationalize and legitimize my own lusts and desires.
That’s likely where Discouraged is right now. I only got out of it because God graciously opened my eyes through some Godly writings of the past and leading me to ministries that slapped me upside the head with my foolishness.
So, I don’t claim that Discouraged is unsaved at all……….we can’t know that. But I do know that I am very happy I got slapped upside the head and was made to see what my attitudes toward the Word looked like before God. I’m just passing that loving slap along if she’ll receive it
Thank you Bro. Lawrence D., I really enjoyed reading your response.
In Christ Jesus

AMEN!
We are all called to warn the sinner about the True and Living God.
What the sister did was to “exhort”.
Exhort: to incite by argument or advise, to urge strongly. To give warning or advice; to make urgent appeal. Meridian/Webster Dictionary
Hebrews 3:13 - But “exhort” one another daily, while it is called today; lest any of you be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin.
The grace of God that saves it also transforms. He creates a clean heart and renews a right spirit in us that we no longer live the rest of our time in the flesh to the lust of men, but to the will of God. Christ has sealed us and given the earnest of the Spirit into our HEART.
Those things which proceed out of the MOUTH come forth from the HEART; and they defile the man. These 2 guys out of their own mouths reveal the condition of their hearts, as they proudly proclaim their pleasure “here to have a good time” in unrighteousness. They are in covenant with 50 Cent and the likes thereof, how else can two walk together except they be agreed?
Come Lord Jesus!
Deb
Hello all, This was disturbing to me on many levels, and praise GOD; That we as people of faith are out exposing this, these products of the pimps and their teachings. Along with this why did i see on the word network some guy i believe was “eric j ??” or something at the BET awards hanging with the same people?
It’s amazing how many people who “grew up in the church” think that way about salvation and Christian life. I am a musician, and I find myself in those types of conversations a lot. A friend of mine, who is the keyboard player at my church, no less, remarked to me, “What’s the difference if you believe (modalism), or the Trinity, or something else. What’s the big deal!?” After explaining why it matters, he was quiet, but appeared unconvinced. It can be frustrating.
MN & Family: It was amazing that the male on the left responded to the question of being a Christian with, “Well, I’m a baptist myself.” Automatically, he gave the warped impression that denomination superseded the Scriptures. You could tell right there that he didn’t have a clue as to what was coming, “know what I mean?” Besides which, that response gave a very negative image of the total baptist denomination and its followers, regardless of the names they’ve affixed to themselves.
Interesting point, sis Beryle…..
Serves to remind of the old saying: “Being in a church/organization no more makes you a Christian than being in a garage makes you a car”
The thinking has truly been twisted indeed.
Greetings Beryl,
Your comment: Besides which, that response gave a very negative image of the total baptist denomination and its followers, regardless of the names they’ve affixed to themselves.
I disagree that these young men claim to being baptist is reflection of the whole baptist church. I am a member of the baptist denomination, I and others alike serve the Lord thy God and don’t practice or condone this kind of carnal behavior as commanded by the Holy scriptures. Its unfortunate these young men just attend church and live contray lives inspite of what they have been taught. They are just carrying a Jesus label based on the church they were raised in or attend with no fruits of His manifestation of change in their life.
We heard and saw their level of growth and committment in Christ through their many excuses. Those young men are representatives of what the Church body tempture is– across many denominations of faith–especially in many of the black churches.
(MN: Sorry, but to the average Joe, these guys make the Baptists look bad. It’s not fair that Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum’s responses would do that, but it is a fact. In fact, it blokes like these two and the discipline they don’t get at the hand of the congregation that make the various Baptist denominations such a rich recruiting field for Jehovah’s Witnesses, the Nation of Islam, and other cults.
It certainly isn’t fair to say they are representative of a denomination. But, again, to the unchurched, they make not just Baptists, but Christians look bad. )
With all due respect, you’ve got something to reconcile here. Because you start with:
Then close with:
If they don’t make baptist look bad than it’s not fair to say they are representative of churches with mostly Black membership. Either they make it all look bad or they don’t.
I say these guys make even the air they breathe look bad.
But really, everything they are and that they claimed they reflected poorly upon, Blacks, men, Baptists, all who claim the Lord’s name in general. Given it was the BET awards with Blacks talking, I noticed the racial aspect first, then when they mentioned they claimed to be Baptists it really floored me that they were in any way associating themselves with the church.
Now lets look at another aspect of this. HOW MANY PEOPLE IN OUR OWN BLOOD RELATIVE FAMILIES claim the name of Christ and sound as lame as those 2? Don’t lie! We’ve got work to do in our own sphere of influence folks.
(MN: I just think it’s so wrong for you to make us look at the people close to us. It’s much easier to rail against Tweedledee and Tweedledum! You think we want to take a chance of having family members reject what we say and maybe even reject us? What’ll we do about the family reunion next year? What if the group decides to attend First Baptist Church of Glenarden for the traditional Sunday worship? You think I’m going to want to to tell everyone they’re making a mistake?
You are way too judgmental and unrealistic! Who do you think you are - Jesus?
Oh, sorry. I’ve read those idiotic comments so often I just had an unintentional knee jerk reaction (UKJR). I’m okay now…let me go get a cup of coffee. Really, I’m fine. )
LOL @ Melvin
Bro Melvin,
Your comment: It certainly isn’t fair to say they are representative of a denomination. But, again, to the unchurched, they make not just Baptists, but Christians look bad. )
I totally agree!

2 Corinthians 13:4-6
4For to be sure, he was crucified in weakness, yet he lives by God’s power.
Likewise, we are weak in him, yet by God’s power we will live with him to serve
you.
5Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves. Do
you not realize that Christ Jesus is in you–unless, of course, you fail the
test? 6And I trust that you will discover that we have not failed the test.
So much for this Scripture, for most likely these men weren’t taught the fact that we should give ourselves spiritual checkups/look for a growing awareness of Christ’s presence & power in our lives….for only then will we know if we’re true Christians or merely imposters.
The guys’ response seems akin to what happens when one becomes immunized with a virus, where you’re given just enough of the real thing to fight against it when you’re DEALING WITH A FULL INFECTION.
These guys probably came from churches preaching ALOT OF SOLID truths, but never placing emphasis on the ones focusing on actually doing what you heard……or accepting the Words of challenging one to change/give up something he or she loves.
I use to do the same things they did in video, once. I’d constantly listen to people on TBN & the many POWERFUL scriptures/truths they’d bust out. With so many interesting tidbits of knowledge/information, it’s enough to make me think I was secure……& so I’d end up ignoring any warnings from others to investigate further into the Word/ see if perhaps I was in danger….
But that leads to deception alone if one’s never graduates toward putting theory into PRACTICE (Matthew 7:21-27, Luke 6:46-49)
2 Timothy 3:7
7always learning but never able to acknowledge the truth.
James 1:22-27
There is so mucy error in the church today partly as a
result of poor equipping of the saints for their work of
ministry. Part of that equipping is sound Biblical teaching
and without it, people drift into all kinds of foolishness
and nonsense and call it “being saved.”
These “brothers” professing to be Baptist. I would be
a very chagrined pastor of theirs if this was their level
of Bible knowledge about God’s plan of salvation and
the requirements for orthopraxy.
Who is this woman who gave the interview? Does anyone know.
They are just ignorant bottomline. They have a form of Godliness and are just Baptist like they said. (CAVEAT) I am not suggesting Baptists are ignorant. These mean do not know what it means to accept Jesus into their soul (mind, will, and emotions) THE HEART. This is why they see nothing wrong with the carnal, fleshly, sensual, lewd, and wicked way of living. God remove the blinders from their eyes and atlers from their ears. I weep for these lost sheep, people of God lets pray that they be transformned by the renewing of their minds.
We can pray all we want, however, God has told us the story from beginning to end. These “Christians” are fulfilling prophecy and the only way that mankind will be able to effect real change is:
If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
But you see that will call for obedience to God, and as these young men have shown the mind of the church we know without a doubt that all the events are going to play out just as the Lord says they will.
Peace
IC has the same topic on his website. A blogger stated that if you read the lyrics to 50 Cent’s song “Pearly Gates” of which I did, 50 Cents name is not in the book of life and he knows that he’s going to hell for sure but he can talk his way out of it. However, if the person he speaks to gets to heaven, put in a good word for him at the pearly gates.
Yes this vid is also featured in a post on my blog. I’ve got another one up from the same folks that is also worth checking out.
Only the Lord knows if 50 Cent’s name is in the Book of Life and if it’s there 50 Cent will one day repent before his physical death. Al and I differ on the issue of <
