Fast roping Preston

Thanks a bunch for all the inquiries about the site. I don’t know whether to be intimidated by the heart felt concern and interest or to start charging membership fees.

COP sent me an e-mail a couple of nights ago to find out if I was okay. He was really worried about the site being down. Here’s what he said:

Mel
In the recent developments of your site being down I can only conclude one of two things.
1. Your site is truly down, and I need to be patient and wait for it to return.
or
2. A Pimp has hired some sheeple to kidnap you, and you’re tied up and gagged in a basement, being forced to watch the video “Money Comin’”.

If its number 1, then please let me know you’re doing alright.

But if its number 2, you must read this e-mail 7 times, then forward it to 7 more e-mail accounts and then all that you have will be increased 7 times over.

Since you have been off line I have been on several sites similar to yours, but none are quite as busy or engaging. Hope to chat with you soon.
Preston (aka-COP)

I guess I didn’t see his message in time and he assumed I was being held by some money-crazed WoFers.

In his effort to help me out (you know, being willing to lay down your life for the brethren) he found out where I lived (Bowie isn’t that big) and attempted a rescue.

I’m not sure where he found the helicopter, the pilot and co-pilot, or the five members of his assault team, but I gotta tell you, it was impressive watching their daytime air assault with the six of them fast roping down from the helicopter onto my rooftop.

The old guy across the street had a heart attack, and the survivalist on the corner thought COP was the United Nations coming to drag him away in one of their black helicopters and one neighbor just stood waving at the helicopter because he thought it was the Channel 7 Traffic Eye in the Sky. I never have been too sure about THAT guy.

Of course the local cops and various Feds over reacted to the whole thing.

It was a couple of hours before all of the responding cop cars, fire trucks, FBI and Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) Suburbans cleared the street. I think my neighbors are still a little upset with me because the bomb-sniffing dogs dug up all their flowers, marked all their trees and bushhes, ate their welcome mat and left presents of stinky little pyramids all over their yard.

But I think every thing’s okay now , except the tune from “Money Comin’” keeps running through my head for some reason.

If only the same kind of assault was made on TBN……but at least you’re safe now, Brah (lol, lol, lol)

Probably would’ve been humorous if you turned the situation around to your advantage and turned it into a suicide situation & threathed something unless First Baptist Glendgarden or TBN agreed to meet your demands & shut down.

Hey! No Fair! I said on IC’s site that you converted to Wof and decided to close the site. No seriously though Melvin in all honesty I thought something tragic might have happened and that is why PP went down. After reading ICs site I realized it was only temporary. Good to see it back on line.

I seriously began to wonder whether something had really happened to you when the site was down.

Now I’ll say something in connection with this - Charismatics and Co are always on about the Devil this and the Devil that. But you see ,when we propound false doctrine Mr Beelzebub is quite content, he’ll just let us be.

However, when we stand for Biblical truth and influence others… ol’ Mr Beelzebub pulls out that marker pen and highlights our names and makes us top priority for his neighbourhood visitation.

Brother, this ministry has helped me. We all must pray that you’re kept and the site will continue to help others.

another gossip site as well as im concerned, i like to look at dirt, im human which is another word for dirt.. .. think its a d*** shame when someone dedicate they life to show how inferior or human other folks are. . .you say your purpose is to expose bad doctrine but its not, its just a cover up.. its not even your concern. “you dont know whether to be intimidated” is so d***hilarious. . . . but in these days in age smut news is the best for that i commend you, keep up the work

(MN: Dig up dirt? The contents of this site, in a vast majority of the cases, is their own words that they proudly proclaim over and over again. Every once in a while, I post something that literally bursts upon the scene like the Junie and Tommie show, now appearing at the Rennaisance Hotel in Atlanta. And generally, those events can be directly tied back to their bad doctrine, their desire to fleece the sheeple, and a complete lacking in effective Christian doctrine. I don’t dig up dirt. Otherwise I would have several articles about the more…uh…prolific preachers out there.

Smut? What smut? From what I can tell, the contents of “Teach Me How to Love” and Junie’s book “No More Sheets” come closer to the idea of Smut. But those things, again, are things she proudly and repeatedly puts out there. I don’t dig it up. But if you think it’s dirt, why are you defending a man and woman who promote such dirt?

By the way, I was saying I sometiimes feel intimidated because of the need to get things right and be obedient to God, not because of some imagined threat from the WoFers.

By the way, you really should learn how to spell D*** if you are going to use it. )

Hey Emack…….you wanna crack that Bible your grandma gave you for Christmas when you were 6??

If you did, you might see that we are commanded to PUBLICLY point out PUBLIC false teachers, including naming names.

If you don’t know enough or care enough to obey the Bible in warning the flock and confronting wolves, that’s on you. If you don’t know the difference between gossip and simply repeating these pimp’s own PUBLIC words and holding them up to Scriptural standards, that’s on you too.

Do you want to defend your baseless charges by Scripture now, or are you just another Drive-By Sheeple??

I kid you not, Double-G. I was checking my stats at sitemeter, and someone found my site by Googling “Thomas Weeks defense fund.” As if the guy can’t afford his own attorney, which he has. And guess who one of his lawyers is famous for defending? Murderers.

Weeks has retained two lawyers: the well-known Garland, who in the past has represented NFL star Ray Lewis in his murder trial and millionaire James Sullivan, who ordered the murder of his socialite wife…

Typical, you would support unbliblical comments made by a foul mouthed individual (s) (plural if you include the pimps). I feel for you. The way is broad to destruction and narrow is the way to life and few there be that find it. If you considered and compared what is being said to scripture you would know the truth. But you fail to recieve instruction and godly rebuke because you would rather someone talk about how to have sex, how to steal money, how to holla, stomp your feet, dance off beat and whatever else is still being done in those circles. Church was never meant for us to do exercises have bbq baptisms and teach me to love my next wife after I divorce this one. Dude, get it right. READ THE SCRIPTURES!!!!!!!!!!

By the way, Mr.Mel.

This may sound morbid, BUT who exactly would run the site in the event that you should either die soon or decide to step down?

I ask because the site being down made me really wonder if something bad happened to you…..& it made me realize how hindered the site would be without you since the majority of the work—paticularly in the area of editing/management—–is done mainly by you…..

And no offense, BUT death can come for us at any time & there’s no guarantee as to how long you have left after 50yrs.

Also, seeing that you’re trying to imitate the prophets of the OT, there’s always the possibilty you could very well end up like them and possibly “silenced” for speaking out too much against the mess in the pulpit (1 Kings 19, Jeremiah 38, etc)……..& if the wolves weren’t above death threats it in Jesus’s time, no need to think that things are much different today—(John 11:45-57, Acts 7:51-53, Acts 9:22-24)

Personally, I’d be alot more comforting knowing what your plan was should you be “taken out”.

Ditto. At the same time though Double G in the past God would raise his prophets/leaders as he needed. He is the originator of succession planning. e.g Moses-Joshua, Elijah-Elisha. I believe that we who “support this ministry” (using an officious sounding voice) need to continue to keep Mel in prayer. I hear you and agree to some degree but am standing on the promises of God knowing that he is able to keep Melvin.

Bro Nigel, I’m also believing that God’ll keep Mr. Mel safe…….

But practically speaking, there’s no guarantee of that. God never promised us we’d live forever or that death could not come for us at any time.

Leaders in persecuted countries believe in God to keep them, but they’re still choosing successors/letting brethren know in case something happens.

Even regarding God starting succession planning, I find it interesting that no obvious successor to Joshua was apparent, as with Moses.

Joshua had to name someone, but didn’t, & the people who looked to his leadership fell apart once he dissappered (Judges 1)……and though many at this site obviously focus on the Lord/His purposes rather than Mel only, how far would the site go if he disappered??

“There can be no success without a succesor”….& If he doesn’t want to share, cool……but it’d really be very reassuring knowing what Plan B is.

GxG,

I hear you, undersand where you are coming from but I disagree to some degree. I am giving some thought to it before I respond. Kinda engaging brain first. So I’ll respond in time. Its just that in cases where no succession took place I genuinely believe it was in accordance with God’s will or due to man seeking a course outside of god’s will. I have to search the word though and get my thoughts in proper order.

What comes to mind e.g is the relationship between Mel & IC, Gary V, Kyle yourself and a few others who seem to be on the same page with Mel so to speak. Something happens to Mel (hypothetically!) and you dont know if due to the interaction of those I have mentioned you would be unknowingly understudying Mel at this point in time. (A la Joshua) God then raises one of you in the capacity. Just my rambling thoughts. Like I said though I need to search and respond in keeping with the site’s standards.

There have also been times when oracles of God have been raised to carry out a function and then when their job is done its done. I unfortunately have this unswerving confidence in God knowing what he is doing. (insert smiley face here, because I dont know how) I am not taking away from the need for practical action but Mel would have to be guided by God and lean not on his own understanding about succession. Mel may have his own ideas about what should be done but he would have to enquire of God first because I truly believe he was led by God to do this.

Ay GxG you have me engaging mouth before brain. I’ll get back to you.

Tell me what you think about the site. the link is at the bottom.

Jahnea,
I too asked Melvin about other Big name Pimps like Duplantis and Parsley. However, the one thing you have to realize is that the list is so big that it is difficult to get them all. Trust me, since I have been on this site the list has become bigger. Give it time and I am sure those you mentioned will eventually get here. Now as for Duplantis he has got to be clinically insane to make the comments he has made in the past.

Yeah I agree, Duplantis has always been strange to me also. He is more of a comedian than a so called pastor. He is always telling jokes.

Melvin,
This site was missed….and all kinds of thoughts crossed my mind. Most of them have been listed. I thought that the pimps had their fancy pants lawyers shut you down. It is good to see that you are still doing your Moses thing. (leading God’s people out of Eygpt).

(MN: Two things: first, I still believe I am simply a pimple on the collective behind of these people. I doubt they are particularly aware of me. Second, don’t worry about me until a three Sundays from now. That’s when I go visit the The First Baptist Church of Glenarden Mausoleum, Museum, and Memorial for their grand opening sale. There I’ll truly be among the Borg. I’ll probably have to set my phaser to a modulating frequency in order to get through the Borg’s personal shields. I’ll even be sitting through the entire sermon, so who knows, I may get assimilated while I’m there.

I will, however, check under my car and under the hood before I start the engine to leave the parking lot. )

Hey Kyle,
Is there any body on the Word network that does not preach (scream) non Sense?

I believe it is the guy who does the miracle dollar program. His motto is ” One Lord, One Faith, One Baptism, One Dollar” literally. But he is late knight right before Kerney Thomas, the well know screamer “GAAAAAAD”, “RECIEEEEEVEEEE IT”

Charlz,

I have no clue. I just know that TBN (Theologically Bankrupt Nonsense) is nothing but “bovine fecal” which is closely related to what comes out of Creflo’s mouth which is “Equus caballus excrement”.

Look up in dictionary for the laymen’s term if needed.

Walter Pearson’s the only one I can think of who even seems to come close to not preaching non-sense,…….. though even that may be an issue since he’s from The Seventh Day Adventist Church, which has one foot in orthodoxy and the other outside.

To those who follow the Pimps.

Please Justify your beliefs with these scriptures.

Regarding gaining wealth and following Pimps read-
1 Timothy 6:5-11

Regarding Osteen’s beliefs read-
James 4:13-16

Regarding abundance and overflow read-
Luke 12:15

The Choice between the Pimps(wealth) and Jesus read-
Matthew 6:19-25

BTW Melvin. Why not make a post with a list of all the scriptures we can come up with proving WoF/Prosperity gospel is a lie? Think about it. By creating a solid list asking the sheeple or the Pimp to respond to each scripture would force them to either acknowledge their error or lose outright. This may be a very effective tool in reaching people. We could have a post where we all search scriptures and post the proof. Next, the top ten solid scriptures could be listed and you could invite the Pimps or sheeple to respond to them. It’s brilliant! It would be highly effective. You may actually help a lost soul you know.

Generally, the tag “Well known” is there because they are not preaching the truth and truly serving the Lord. In general, if they are serving the Lord, they will not be wll known - or well liked.

That is one reason I have such an issue with Billy Graham, quite apart from the increasing departures he has been making from orthodoxy.

Loved by the world? Then you better check yourself.

John MacArthur is fairly well-known. But he makes a habit of going out there and pulling the chains of the unsaved by saying things like “If Mother Theresa didn’t receive Jesus Christ as her savior before she died, she is in hell right now.”

You can’t believe the caterwauling that comes about when that kind of statement is made. Christians love him. Non-Christians and pretend christians can’t stand him.

Oh, and he runs a fairly large church as well. But I doubt the city of Los Angeles will be declaring a John MacArthur day anytime soon. Is he perfect? Hardly. Is he consistent with Scripture? Yep.

Agreed about MacArthur………add John Piper, Michael Horton, and RC Sproul to that list as well. Islands of doctrinal sanity on a sea of raging heresy.

Might wish to add CJ. Mahanney & Joshua Harris as well, for they’re down with Piper & MacArthur too

(MN: I wouldn’t. These guys are pentecostal. They promote Pentecostalism with all the activities that go with Pentecostalism. I suspect they are NOT pimps, but again, they do promote prophecy, tongues, and the rest of the rest of the activities that eventually made the environment ripe for the pimps.

Here is a part of a statement from them [page 2 of the annotation]:

Let it first be said that the Sovereign Grace Ministries leadership
team has not moved from its understanding of the work of the
Spirit, an understanding that could be classified as a traditional
charismatic/Pentecostal view. However, as our family of churches
has grown, an increasing number of people have been drawn to
Sovereign Grace’s combined emphases of sound doctrine and
charismatic experience.

They themselves identify themselves as pentecostal.

Sovereign Grace appears to be a Calvinistic version of the basically Arminian Calvary Chapel and Chuck Smith. And like Calvary Chapel, they attempt to have their cake and eat it too.

I certainly don’t get the impression they are pimps, but I have to reject out of hand an organization that promotes continued revelations (prophesies) while all the time saying the revelations are only accepted as long as they don’t contradict Scripture. I’ll continue to ask: “What if someone prophesies that Adam was 6 feet 3 inches tall, blond and blue eyed? Do I have to accept this as true? Or what if they prophesy something that agrees with their interpretation of Scripture and that interpretation is wrong? Isn’t that “prophecy simply reinforcing and error?

Bottom line: Insisting on the validity of a “Charismatic” experience is a violation of sound doctrine in several areas, not the least being the authority of Scripture. )

Hi GaryV,

Yes, your right. I will check Melvins’ library out. On another question for you. I know you were a pastor at one point. What is your take on “Coverings”. I posteed in another topic about me getting so tired of the pimpery, lies and deceit at these places of worship, until I just now do my own study with the guidance of the holy spirit, my books and this site of course. Do I have to be a member of a church setting. Do I need a covering.

Thanks
Peace and Blessings

Hi Angie………I reject the concept of “coverings” as popularly taught. That said, the NT model is exclusively for folks to meet in a congregational setting with elders who are charged to “watch over your soul”.

Now, if you’re like me, you’re so surrounded in pimpery and seeker sensitivity and charismania and WOFism that you may have no acceptable setting in which to congregate.

All through history that has been the case for many, and God has upheld them. IF there is a congregation that preaches the Gospel near you SHOULD you attend?? I’d say yes, since the NT never addresses lone ranger Christians. If the only option is to sit under spiritually corrosive garbage, I’d try to congregate with like-minded believers apart from the deception.

What is lost otherwise is the congregational worship of God which He clearly promotes, the lack of spiritual authority and counsel from those more seasoned than we, and the opportunity to be a blessing to others who may need you because of the things God has brought you through.

JMO………..

Personally, I’d love to be plugged in somewhere. I miss it badly.

(MN: I wouldn’t. These guys are Pentecostal….)

Sorry Brah, but I’m gonna have to go with MacArthur on this one. For, he’s still
willing to work with Mahanney/Harris…& he has even recommended their SOLID
Resources….JUST as Piper, RC Sproul & others have MULTIPLE TIMES for YEARS!!!

For evidence,

IT’S ILLOGICAL CLAIMING ONE CANNOT LEARN FROM OR ASSOCIATE with Believers holding
DIFFERING interpretations ——For what’s ESSENTIAL is THE CENTRALITY OF THE
GOSPEL OF CHRIST….

IMO, SOMETHING’S HIGHLY OFF when we’re willing to DIVIDE OVER NON-ESSENTIAL
issues rather than UNITING FOR THE SAKE OF SPREADING THE GOSPEL…..for not all
Followers will resemble each other or belong to the SAME GROUPS. People who are on Jesus’ side have the SAME GOAL of BUILDING UP THE KINGDOM of GOD, & THEY
SHOULD NOT LET THEIR DIFFERENCES INTERFERE WITH THIS GOAL ( I Corinthians 12,
Ephesians 4:1-16).

If someone shares common faith in Christ, THEY SHOULD be
COOPERATED WITH, as the Word says (Mark 9:38-41)

(MN: I don’t care what John MacArthur does. While I can work with them, I have no intention of recommending them. Their belief in extra-biblical revelation is a non-starter for me. Extrabiblical revelation (i.e. Adam was six feet 5 inches tall, blond and blue-eyed) ends up impacting the essentials sooner or later. Each of us has our set of trip-wires. Extra-biblical revelations is one of mine. I don’t expect you all to have the same ones as me. But neither am I going to change mine based on the reputation of a theologian, no matter how much I admire and respect that theologian. I wanted to be Charles Stanley when I grew up. But I still think he is wrong to promote tithing.

If MacArthur is working with folks who hold to new revelation, then he is going against the very things he writes about in “The Charismatics.” That’s his problem. Not mine.

Tell me, would you think it would have been alright to work with Montanus? In the beginning, when he first started the pentecostal stuff, he was pretty orthodox. The church didn’t think so. The reason? He held to extrabiblical revelation. He held to several other beliefs as well, but foremost among them was the idea of extrabiblical revelation and a couple of other “eccentricities.”

I would reject your reference to Mark since there is no indication that the people doing the exorcisms taught anything contrary to sound doctrine.

SG’s Pentecostal stand is going to, somewhere down the road, result in them either being forced to reject it, or a turn from orthodoxy in other areas. Th
