Some of you may wonder why I am so insistent on calling out the pimps here at Pulpit-Pimps. Stephen brought a YouTube clip to my attention which, I believe, perfectly illustrates why we have to push as hard as possible to expose the pimps and present the truth.

A Creflo Clone has posted a “sermon” attempting to prove that we are gods. I want you to understand that if left alone, the heresies that Copeland, Cashflo, and Marilyn Hickey, the Fairy Godmother preach and teach are going to be more widely spread than ever. And those who will spread them will not have to be as polished as Copeland.

Click on the YouTube image and get set for a true twisting of the word.

Ringo, the speaker on the clip, is incredibly incompetent. At one point, he even says that Jesus knew who He was in Christ. But with a little more polishing, with a little time spent under the feet of Creflo, he will be out there promoting the standard Word of Faith heresies. But I’m willing to wager that there are folks out there who will not only follow this clown, but will actually give him money.

You have to pay attention. You have to know the truth. And you have to be willing to stand for the truth.

I’ve said on many occasions that things will simply get worse. Know that Mr. Webb is merely an indicator of the slide society and the church going society is on.

I came across this guy on other website, and was lead to his Myspace page. It was crazy. He posted all his “teachings” on there (i think, been a while). And if I am not mistaken, he is outta NY and goes to Creflo’s Church.

Warning!
Regarding the http://www.landoverbaptist.org/ site, don’t let your children look over your shoulders while you visit their site because some of it is raunchy

(MN: Actually, Landover Baptist is the evil twin (The Venom as opposed to Spiderman, so to speak) of this site. Unfortunately, the stuff is funny and, with respect to the attitudes of the religious, on the money. )

(MN: As I said, they are not really a church. It’s a parody making fun of the generally self-righteous church goer [as opposed to the Christian seeking to be conformed to the image of Christ and comparing themselves to Christ rather than the pimp or prostitute down the street. )

As to Landover Baptist Org. their stuff isn’t just funny, it’s a real hoot. But they also exhibit a lot of racism against almost all groups of people except themselves—and sexism, stating women don’t have souls and they do a lot of cursing (MN: My big problem with them. ) . Have you ever read their mail from readers section? The people who write in are always very angry and the don’t hold back with their harsh words either!

Here is their teaching on women (excerpt) Landover Baptist Creation Scientist, Dr. Fred Neiman, announced findings related to his research into the female soul early this week. “The absence of either salvation or condemnation for women finds extensive support in the Word of God.” He reported. “Jesus said that the sole reason God created women in the first place was to provide company and service to men (1 Corinthians 11:9), God determined that men would be lonely living alone, so he created women purely to keep men company and serve their needs (Genesis 2:18-22). Women are therefore completely subordinate to men (1 Corinthians 11:3). It stands to reason, though, that once men enter the Kingdom of Heaven, they will be one with God, and will no longer be lonely and in need of mortal companionship. Thus, the reason behind having women will no longer exist. Women, like the members of the animal kingdom, will fall by the wayside.”

If you wanted to hear their main pastor preach you have to make a reservation 2 years in advance and pay 75 dollars. (MN: See? I’m telling you, this stuff is hilarious! Just not as squeaky clean as Pulpit-Pimps. )

Thanks. I hear you Brother Melvin. I visit that crazy place once in a while just to get a good laugh. I’ve rarely seen anything funnier than most of the stuff there. I wonder if they believe in soul winning since they can’t associate with unsaved people, and, no! That site could never compare with this site. I love it here because you are an excellent moderator/owner/teacher and I love how the regular posters respect each other’s comments that are left here. For the most part, the people here monitor themselves and know when to agree to disagree and move on.

I have learned a lot from reading the articles and the comments and the information that is shared through the teachings of you and the others who post here. Thanks to you and your regular comments posters, I’ve had some things cleared up that I was wondering about, many other things confirmed that I had felt in my heart was not quite right, had some good laughs from some of the beautiful people here who know that it’s all right for Christians to laugh, tease and have a nice time while fellowshipping with each other, so it has been a blessing being here.

That man who said he was a pastor (Smith) who kept coming here to try to agitate was a real mess! I think he left here feeling like he’d stirred up, and he’d gotten himself into a hive of bees! My grandmother used to say, there’s no whupping like the Word of God rightly applied. He had to go lick his wounds for a few days at one point, before he came back again, but he still didn’t seem to get what everyone was trying to show him. I hope he’s settled down by now. Blessed day to all!

I couldn’t even bother to finish listening to this.

My church had a revival in 2005 and some guy got up in the pulpit preaching this mess. Most folks from my church were shocked when he said “we are gods”, but even more surprised when the members of his church were jumping out of their seats listening to them. And I DID get up and leave. Not that anyone would’ve noticed.

What I don’t understand is why these people forget in Genesis where after “The Fall” the Word says that Adam’s son was born after his (Adam’s) image - not after God’s. We are no longer completely in the image of God. We are imprinted by Sin. God does not tolerate Sin. We are not gods, but we are God’s. Everything is.

But that’s just my opinion.

So sad what a poor education can do.

We are CREATIONS of God and JESUS IS THE ONLY BEGOTTEN SON OF THE FATHER. This means JESUS IS GOD and the Father speaks to Him with a BIG “G” in Hebrews 1:8. Scripture like Hebrews 8 proves that Jesus was around and God from the start, as is further detailed in John 1.

We are creations who are called his children, but Jesus is the only Son of the Father and by him we were CREATED.

I guess I have to attempt to explain this on Ringo’s level of understanding. If I create a robot (that looks like me) and call it my son, it’s still a robot, not human. We are given free will, we are not robots, but we are not gods either. We are humans who are not worthy of God’s grace and mercy. If we were gods, we would not need Jesus to access the tree of eternal life. And even now we still can’t call a single thing into existence that does not exists. We are still lower than the angles and even Jesus said John the Baptist was in Luke 7:28. We hope to one day be like angles of God as Jesus mentioned in Matthew 22:30. Angels are not gods and neither are we.

Joel Osteen seems to like that “The Message” translation of the Bible too!

The use of the term “god” towards humans is not at all how we consider the term today. In our terminology the term “mighty ones” would be more appropriate.

The best extended explanation (for those who still don’t get it) I’ve found for those who can’t understand that they are not “gods” is here.

I’m trying to not get beside myself in anger. But, i’m astonished by the ignorance of such a teaching that “we are little God’s (small g’s). They fail to get the simple understanding that to have God’s attributes is different from having God’s nature. Man has God’s attributes in the sense that we have a (will, make judgements, hold authority in the earth, possess a rational intellect). But no where does it say that man is (eternal, the creator of the universe, possess all understanding..etc). In other words, though we are made in his image, the creation was still made apart from him. You see there is a difference between us and God. God is perfect - man is full of flaws, God is all knowing - man is limited, God has no beginning - man has a beginning… He uses Christ as though he was an ordinary man like us, but his understanding is flawed. Christ was the only man that was both 100% God and 100% man, hince the term God-man. There is no man that ever existed that could claim that he had no earthly father. Rather Christ was conceived by the Holy Spirit, this is why he could claim that “I and the Father are one.” When we become saved we are given the Holy Spirit, but Jesus very existance hinged on the Holy Spirit since he was conceived by him. With humans where we have the Holy Spirit or not we can still exist.

The only truth that was mentioned was that people are ignorant of the bible. Unfortunately, he would have to include himself within that bunch. For shame!!

Now, if he did, in fact, preach that we are Gods recently, then Gino is in error. I respect truth no matter who its from, in the same manner i will rebuke a person in their error no matter how much i like them.

It never ceases to amaze me the great lengths men and women would go to prove such nonsense. I would love to sit down with this man (video recorded) to just ask him some questions about his theory of little gods. He even ended his little segment with the scripture “with all thy getting, get understanding” and he himself does not understand. For starters I don’t have as much of a problem with being in the “image” of God as much as I would with having the same “authority” or “power” as God(to which Jesus does). I kept noticing he was refering to the Pharisees having a problem with Jesus saying He was God, But JESUS IS GOD, we are not. Who else in scripture tried to convince people the they were God? I never read anywhere in scripture where Paul, Peter, James, John or any disciples (whom by the way, WALKED WITH JESUS) refer to themselves as little gods. I wonder if Mr Ringo can perform ANY miracles or speak ANYTHING into existance, I wonder has he ever laid hands on the blind and they received their sight. Ok, he may say they didn’t have the faith, but I would say has he laid hands on anyone who HAD faith and the recovered? I would ask what has he called as not as though it was, you know, spoke something into existence. If I am to be as God, then I should have this power, right? Come on Mr Ringo, you preach this garbage, now show me the evidence in your life. If you can’t live what you preach, how will any sinner be won through you? I would not buy dietary products from an overly obese saleman. Would you?

And I must add that if Mr Ringo had a concordance(if he did, obviously he didn’t use it here) he would have looked the word “gods” up in the Hebrew in the passage of Psalms 82 and saw along with it’s context, means “Magistrates or Judges”. Apparently Creflo, Copeland and the likes did not do their research either.

Sad and disgusting at the same time.

This poor soul has no idea that being created in the “image and likeness of God” has nothing to do with having His physical attributes, but with the fact that we were created to reflect His glory and to reflect His character. He probably learned this foolishness from Creflo, who in turn learned it from Kenneth “God has a 9-inch handspan” Copeland.

“For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.”

The fact that such teaching can even be tolerated today is not indicative of the wolves preaching it, but of the flock SWALLOWING it. Mankind is truly decieved and never learning.

(MN: Take a look at any of the items on Word of Faith, Copeland, Creflo, or others and you will see a listing of what is wrong with what he says. I was having problems understanding this passage. I heard people say “ye are gods” and I began to wonder does scripture really teach that I am a little god? One of the funny things about Word of Faith folks is that they really misenterpret scripture. I mean really! They quote a scripture and say “See! It’s in the Word, I’m not making this up!” The problem is that they use the Word of God deceitfully only quoting the parts that connect to their doctrines. They dont mention the part that says “you will die like men.” They also dont mention the scriptures that say that we have gone a whoring or anything like that because it leads to judgment. The problem is that they only quote stuff that says”you are something good” like a god. The only problem is Isaiah 42 says there is no god besides God, which causes some other issues. I want to deal with the two passages in question, first Psalm 82 and then John 10. I believe that more light can be shed on this topic.
Psalm 82 begins with God saying he will judge among the gods. Meaning that he is not talking about everyone. If he were talking about everyone, he would have made it clear. He particularizes it saying that he would stand in the congregation of the mighty. This is a specific group of people as evidenced by verses 2-7. Another passage akin to this scripture is Ex 22:28. God commands not to revile the gods. This means that the gods were judges or leaders in Israel godlike authority. This leads us to Jesus. Jesus was saying that if these people mentioned in Ps 82 who would die like men, who were simply judges could be called gods, what’s the problem with him being called the Son of God. This is why he says the scripture cannot be broken. In other words, what is said in the Bible is there for a reason. It was not a mistake. Judges could be called gods. So it is a problem to think that Jesus is any less. In fact, as he is making his case in John 10 he explains that it is written in “their” law. If theyre willing to refer to judges as gods, why would there be a problem claiming to be the Son of God. This scripture has nothing to do with Jesus telling us we are gods. It has to do with his ability to claim his kingship over the people of Israel as true sheperd-king as is expected from the scriptures. And equally, as king, the one in whom God fully dwells.

Just a sidetrack here, but I just looked up that verse (Exodus 22:28) in the English Standard Version and it says 28″You shall not revile God, nor curse a ruler of your people. But this should say: (KJV) 28Thou shalt not revile the gods, nor curse the ruler of thy people. Is this right here? Or is it just me? gods or God? Someone please look into this. Thanks.

Hi Dazz!!

The word translated “gods” in Exodus 22:28 is “elohiym”. This word is used to describe BOTH the God of Israel AND the pagan “gods”.

This does not however suggest an equality or correspondence between the pagan “gods” and the True God of Israel.

The word used is a PLURAL………in Hebrew the plural of a word is often used to designate dignity, and awe, and power. This is the way it is used when describing the God of Israel……..

When describing multiple pagan “gods”, the plural is used as well of course. If we are talking about more than one false “god”, the plural naturally must also be used. However, the plural is used in THAT case to designate ONLY that we are talking about more than one false “god”. The plural is used for BOTH, yet the PURPOSE for the use of the plural is DIFFERENT.

The Hebrew/Aramaic language has ALWAYS had this construct, as the Words of Christ also exemplified. When He says “Verily, verily” (likely in Aramaic which is a derivative of Hebrew), He uses the word twice (plurality) to underscore His point as something crucial. It is also used with “Amen, amen” (the same word). It is a means of UNDERLINING or stressing a point. It is said twice to draw the attention to what is being said as something of great importance.

So the key to determining how to properly translate the word “elohiym” is the context of the verse. Elohiym is capitalized when the verse being translated is referring to the God of Israel, since the use of the plural case is meant to portray dignity and transcendence.

When the verse being translated is referring to a plurality of false “gods”, then the word should be translated “gods” with a little “g”.

Beginning in Genesis 1:1, the word “GOD” is taken from the Hebrew plural “elohiym”. Of course, at the creation there WERE no false “gods” to be considered. There was ONLY the one True God. Therefore the plural used here cannot refer to multiplicity (except possibly in the Godhead) but to majesty and uniqueness. It is a way of underling just WHOM we are speaking of in the verse.

In Exodus 34:15 though (as in MANY other places), the very same word “elohiym” is used to describe the FALSE “gods” of Egypt.

Ex 34:15 “Lest thou make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land, and they go a whoring after their gods (elohiym), and do sacrifice unto their gods (elohiym), and [one] call thee, and thou eat of his sacrifice”

Of course, Egypt had MANY “gods”, therefore the plural is used here to reflect the fact that Moses is addressing a plurality of “gods”, it is not used to ascribe dignity or transcendence, or majesty.

As I mentioned (and as it is with EVERYTHING to do with the Bible), context is the key.

Ringo IS in fact a disciple of Pass-Da Dollar. He confirmed this to me himself. I have been trying to reason scripture with Ringo for a while now. I even posted a video response to his video “stop judging women” on youtube in an attempt to correct many of his errors.

Warning: Do not even bother trying to reason with him using the scriptures, since he has said himself (even on Christian forums) that he does not believe that “ALL scripture is inspired by God”. He claims there is a lot of junk and so thats why we need to rightly divide the word in order to filter out what is Gods word and what isnt. :O

This guy is a full blow heretic and at such a young age (i believe 29 at present). I would suggest you watch his video “stop judging women”, where out of the abundance of his heart his mouth speaks very clearly, what this guy is all about.

He even says we cant always go by what people like Paul say, afterall he murdered Christians. He also thinks Timothy wrote the book of Timothy.

A very interesting individual. The kind of person you wanna take back to the laboratory to do some further tests and analysis. lol

And I guess what scares me the most is the thought that there may be alot more RINGO’s in the congregation at WCI. I shiver at the thought.

Dazzarai - So good to see you here brother. Be sure to include your blog URI with your posts. You’ve got good stuff for people to learn from.

The church of the Laodiceans is on the rise!
Revelation 3:14-22
They think they’ve overcome and are rich, when they are actually poor.

he does not believe that “ALL scripture is inspired by God”

He even says we cant always go by what people like Paul say, afterall he murdered Christians.

Rather than recognizing he’s not able to fully understand the scriptures, he just tosses out what he does not like. Of course if Paul would have supported all his statements (and such nonsense were allowed in scripture) then he’d love Paul.

If he can’t trust Paul, then he can’t trust the other apostles who trusted Paul to minister to the Gentiles (that would be our bloodline) and he can’t trust the Lord, who spoke to Paul and blinded him, knew he was at the house of Judas (not to be confused with the Judas who betrayed Christ), the told Ananias (not to be confused with the Ananias of Acts 5 or the Jewish high priest named Ananias, Acts 23) to go and seek out Saul (later named Paul) lay hands on him to receive his sight back, be baptized and spend time with the disciples.

Saul would have had a great prize by simply overtaking the disciples while he was with them. But Saul trusted the Lord, Ananias trusted the Lord and the disciples trusted the Lord, because the disciples were full of the Holy Spirit, knew the voice of the Lord and obeyed.

Ananias didn’t want to trust Saul, but the Lord told him otherwise, see Acts 9.

So if we can’t trust Paul, God is a liar and we can’t trust any of the Bible at all. Not even the parts Creflo twists for his pimp game, which includes words written by Paul. Just about every New Testament scripture twisted by pimps was written by Paul.

As usual, the misguided cherry pick and don’t even know what the term rightly divided means. Ringo is straight cutting out scripture and that’s not “right”.

Ringo is nothing but a false teacher and disciple of the antichrist named Creflo A. Dollar.

This also comes out of the New Age teaching. I am amazed at how the New Age movement has crept into the Church. I had a conversation with someone this weekend about how Pastors are spending too much time telling people how to get their stuff but they have left many unlearned about stuff that will lead them into the great deception. He said we have to get it for ourselves, which I do agree with, but I also believe that our “Pastors” are to some degree responsible for making sure the sheep know what’s going on. I wonder how many people would fall for this mess if the Pastors dedicated at least one day a quarter to teaching the people about stuff like the New Age movement, how to recognize their devices, and explaining to them why yoga, TM, and spirit guides are not of God and should be shunned vigorously? The New Age has been teaching that we are gods since the 60’s. Where have our Pastors been? Thanks, Melvin, for taking up the mantle that many of our Pastors should be taking up.

For all of the those who come on this site and put Melvin down or challenge him, I hope now, you see why he is so adament about Pimps being in the Pulpit. I can agree with him because I came out of those types of churches. I praise God for delieverance.

I tried to view the “Don’t Judge Women” video, but I couldn’t make it through the first four minutes. This guy is really misguided and WANTS to be that way. Anyone that doesn’t agree with his stance has a “lust” problem. He tries to come off authoritatively, but to the discerning its mere arrogance. Arrogant and ignorant (as in lacking knowledge).

We already have preachers thinking that they alone are priests (when the Word states that ALL believers are of a kingly priesthood). All we need now is some guy claiming that because we are all little “g’s” that women are “goddesses”, or in 5%er-speak, “earths”.

Its all going full circle. The “we are gods” talk is the very first lie from the garden, why are so-called Christians STILL falling for this? This is getting scarier by the hour. Why are Christians falling for this??!!!

Melvin, I am really beginning to see what the the word of God means. Especially the part about false prophets, heresies, itching ears, every wind of doctrine, etc. its all coming to pass right before my very eyes. We have got to pray saints and I mean daily.

When does he say Jesus knew who he was in Christ? I listened to it and did not hear that.

My counter counts down. It was at 1:10 (near the end of the clip). If yours counts up. it’s around 8:40 on the clock.

I’ve listened to his mess entitled “stop Judging women” and he is seriously decieved by the pride in his own mind. He dismisses the authority of the apostle Paul. Moreover, as it was pointed out earlier. He actually showed his sheer ignorance with the statement ” Jesus knew who he was in Christ” .
You just have to laugh to keep from crying.

Bro Dazzarai,
I just watched you on Youtube. Excellent video my brother! That’s how you rightly divided the word of truth.

Thanks bro, some much more sound teaching is required in the body of Christ. There truly is a famine for the word. Im so thirsty! Many times in my own church, i have to switch off and start my own studies by myself while the preaching is going on. This is very distressing. Please pray for me, I am believing God to direct my steps to another fellowship, or preferable humble my leadership and compel them to teach what is right.

I just uploaded a video response to Ringos video. It is called We are NOT gods.

I sincerely hope he watches it and changes his stance on this foolishness.

This is just plain old garbage. Since when was the image made equal as the originator of such image? The man is clearly twisting the word of God. And what’s funny is that he even discusses the part when the serpent said you shall be like God, yet he’s teaching the same thing the serpent told Eve, which was a lie which he’s also teaching. He’s basically reiterating what the serpant told Eve in the garden of eden.

Melvin, I wish that you would provide your interpretation of the passages (Psalm 82 and John 10:33-38). Otherwise, it’s unbalanced of you to denigrate his interpretation without offering an alternative.

Psalm 82 is talking about rulers. If you read the whole chapter you will discover that it is a critique of corrupt rulers. So when Jesus says the scripture called them gods he was saying “how could corrupt leaders with only earthly authority be called gods and you have a problem with me calling myself the Son of God?” He was saying scripture does not make mistakes so if these people could be referred to as divine because they have earthly authority, his calling himself the Son of God is much more apporpriate because he had divine authority.

I’ve done a video for Ringo giving the correct interpretation of those verse. Have a listen if you will. I hope it will help clarify. The video is called We are NOT gods. You can do a search on youtube. God bless you,

Here are direct links to the videos Dazzarai made:

We are NOT gods Part 1 of 2

We are NOT gods part 2

Here’s a good write-up on the matter. Although that is addressing Jehovah’s Witnesses in particular, the whole “we are gods” lie has all has the same heretical roots that rest on similar twisted doctrine, which the explanation will help even lost WoF types.

EJ, consider what the apostles of the Lord Jesus Christ called themselves, 1 Corinthians 4. Consider who Christ said would be the greatest, Matthew 23:11.

Referring to yourself as “god” is not good and Satan desires to be God. One of things false doctrine thrives on is pride.
