More than ever I am convinced that computers are a spawn from the depths of hell put here solely for the purpose of making my life, and only my life miserable.
My computer is acting funky and I am going to have to re-install my operating system and all of my applications, my modem etc. It will likely be a painful, all-evening event. I doubt I will be able to post or respond to your comments that aren’t already posted before tomorrow, or very late tonight. However, keep them coming.
Pray for me that I might retain my Christianity and not put my Holy Ghost on the shelf while I work on my stupid #$%$(*& %($*%* $&*$^%*! computer.
Gosh I hate computers.
I think you should lay hands on it and slay it in the spirit
.
He, he,…
Ahh yes, I am convinced that 1 Peter 3:19, when the Lord went to preach to the spirits in prison, there is a mistranslation. The word spirits, in Greek “pneuma” is actually “pentiuma” or “Dual-Coreuma”, thus he actually preached to Intel processors. LOL!!! I feel for ya bro.
I hear you loud and clear, Melvin. In the past 4 months I had to take TWO computers to repairs, (and one of them was due to faulty wiring that has clearly rendered incapable all of my USB ports, not to mention a CD drive that cannot be read by the motherboard and a missing floppy drive- don’t ask.)
When they work great, they make you forget the 1800s. When they’re malfunctioning, we wanna go back to our mama’s wombs. Go figure.
Just speak life to your computer!!!! Proverbs 18:21. You know the deal melvin. If creflo, ken c, and everyone else can do it surely you can to, unless you have a flaw in your faith.
I feel your pain. At work, in the last 5 months, I’ve had 3 different hard drives. Also, last week my parents had to package and ship their BRAND NEW computer back to the manufacturer because the hard drive was crashing.
It sounds as if you need a good anti-spyware program. Try downloading SpyBot Search and Destroy, and SE Personal by Lavasoft. Both of these programs do a great job of cleaning up your system and they are FREE! If you system is acting strangely, and it isn’t a hardware issue, this is usually the problem. You should install these and run them every month at a minimum.
God Bless!
Melvin- as a computer tech- I know from experience what you are going through. I tell all my clients– back up your data! Yes, having a hard drive crash is painful enough— having all of your data and photos lost with no back up…..”priceless”.
(MN: I have learned my lesson. I now have an external hard drive and all installations are being made to that HD. It’s a 320 GB drive. The OS is on the PC HD. Also, all my data is on the External HD. What I may do is use the external drive for data and back it up on the PC. This is the best I can come up with. ‘Cause remember: I hate computers. )
I’m with Marcus, as a former programmer myself I have never lost data because it was always backed up. Doesn’t mean I could always access it though. LOL.
I am a FORMER programmer because I hate computers too. Love the ‘net, though.
Good idea. Thanks for the tips.
COGICWatcher,
I am interested in what you have to say about the COGIC church. I was a member for a short period of time and from what I had seen was nothing short of heresy. I can remember some services where the preacher would say nothing at all and there would be nothing but a bunch of jumping around, dancing, and crazy tongues. Of course at the end of service after everyone was whipped into a frenzy then the collection plate was passed. Sigh.
Kyle
Wow call me oddball I love computers.
