Pimp and Pimpette

When is a pimp (the man who puts the ‘hos out on the street to make money) not a pimp? Why, when he’s a ‘ho. And this week we got to watch all the big pimps working for their uber pimp and pimpette Paul and Jan Crouch.

This past week was Beg-a-Thon at TBN (Totally Bad and Noxious) and they had stuff going on both coasts, 24 hours a day. Through the magic of video recordings, we got to see Jamal butcher more scripture in a couple of hours than David Koresh was ever able to do before he and his group became crispy critters. We got to see Benny (There Nine of Them) Hinn tell you that if you don’t give them money, God can’t bless you. We even got to watch T. Dexter come up with a new catch phrase: “Things Went Down!”

But more than that, we got to see the pimps working their little hineys of for Pimp and Pimpette.

The Independent Conservative has provided an analysis of each of the “preacher’s” presentation. I’m afraid I just didn’t have the stomach to sit and listen to these bozos, especially knowing that there are thousands of truly hurting (though Bible illiterate) women out there, being roped in to trust snake oil salesmen who are in it for the money.

The links below go to the YouTube clips posted by IC. Go to his site (there’s a link to the right) to read up on the contents if you, like me get really disturbed watching bible-thugs like these deceiving the sheeple.

I figure if you watch enough of them you may actually begin to see that they are all saying the same thing: Give God (read here - TBN) money, and He will, like a reliable slot machine, give you blessings. You people who worship the ground they walk on may even start to get the idea.

As I have said in the past, these men and women of gold don’t care about you. They only care about their bellies and there riches. Remember 2 Peter 2:2,3. You can see these pimps doing it right in front of you. It says:

And many will follow their sensuality, and because of them the way of the truth will be maligned; and in their greed they will exploit you with false words; their judgment from long ago is not idle, and their destruction is not asleep.

Like Lot fleeing Sodom and its sister city, you need to get away from these people and not even look back. They are deceivers, conning pimps, out to separate you from your hard earned money, and in the process, make it nearly impossible for you to grow in Christ since they NEVER feed you the word. Remember: tickling ears do not a mature Christian make.

They tell you about Kingdom Authority. Peter tells us

Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal among you, which comes upon you for your testing, as though some strange thing were happening to you; but to the degree that you share the sufferings of Christ, keep on rejoicing; so that also at the revelation of His glory, you may rejoice with exultation. If you are reviled for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the spirit of glory and of God rests upon you. 1 Pet 4:12-14

Do you see anything in there that talks about exercising “Kingdom Authority?” I didn’t think so.

Again, these men and women are greedy beasts, always willing to market you and your family.

(please say this in your best pimpalicious accent)

How to be a player, how to be pro,
you dont need no slappin’ you dont need no ho’s.
Just get a fly suit and some tight gator boots,
gotta show the congregation you can pull in the loot.

Get a catch phrase ,that gets their hands in the air,
dont worry ’bout doctrine ‘cuz the people wont care.
If you can make them sweat and make them shout
you wont even need scripture to prove you got clout.

Appeal to the flesh appeal to the dolla’
thats all you’ll need to make them folks holla.
Prayer isnt needed to fool this flesh nation,
just tell them folks you’ve got divine revelation………

This is a excerpt from my new book pimpin’ in the new millineum. Brother Melvin If you allow me to speak at your church I will bless you with some of these books (for a small fee) I look forward to hearing from you, hit me up at http://www.Igotgame.com

Let’s re-evaluate that statement James, whom has REALLY changed…Jamal or You?

The difference is probably relegated to your sight, especially into the truth of Jamal’s preaching.

Praise the Lord you are exposing TBN. They are terrible!!! They have been exposed for many years but seems to be still going on strong. But God is not mocked they will reap what they sow (not money either), since they love to use this Scripture for their money raising scams. They are like criminals on these Praise-a-thons, they say any and everything. They lie on God like it’s nothing, no big deal. God said, God said! It’s just terrible.

Unbelievable…some guy on the pimp-a-thon just said that because 24 is his favorite show, he’s giving God 24 hours to work a miracle. Of course, the audience was instructed to give $24. He also compared sowing a seed to God with putting money down on a layaway item. I’m shaking my head right now.

2007-04-14 08:17:55

Had to be Bryant. He’s the one always acting as if he can give God a limit. Or saying he’s giving God “permission” to do something. See the 4th video listed above, that’s him and probably is the same guy you saw saying mess.

I can’t believe people can actually stomach this.
I also can’t believe how many ‘Christains’ are biblically illiterate…even non-WofF types. It’s like many people simply put themselves on autopilot and let another do the driving.
Anyone with the simplest of independent bible study would easily realize these people are the worst examples of not only Christianity but humanity to be found.

I’ve been watching this on and off for a few days now (while channel surfing) and I’m just stupified. Any more watching and I’d go into convulsions…

I think you have some valid reasons for your anger, but to classify them as the lowest of humans is not for you, or anyone to declare. That type of judgement can be deemed just as bad as what that preacher did. Granted, he spoke to sheep, but if God is in control of all the affairs of men, and He is, then nothing got past Him and He will still get His will accomplished in the lives of the hurting and broken, despite, not because of, those TBN preachers.

And even with all the shenanigans that you have pointed out on that network, I know of one person in particular that did not commit suicide because they turned on a TBN program when the gun was in his hands. I know him personally. Maybe he was the only one that God intended to get saved through the TBN vehicle. You never know. But I pray that God will touch their hearts and cause them to turn away from mixed messages that hurt the sheep.

Pray from God’s hearts perspective. When you do, you may find that your personal anger is not needed to get God’s will accomplished. Jesus, being crucified, asked the Father to forgive His murderers because they didn’t know what they were doing. And you know what? He meant it. And these were Christ killers! The preachers on TBN, though flawed, are not Christ Killers in that sense. They need correction and adjustment. Perhaps we can pray for that for them. God bless you.

As the defenders of women as pastors and other silliness love to say, God can speak through a jackass if he wants to. But that doesn’t mean I should hire a jackass to be a pastor. Truth is truth, whether spoke through a demon possessed woman (see Paul and the woman with a spirit of divination) or through a man possessed with a legion of demons. But I wouldn’t hire any of these guys to pastor a church.

Apparently, God’s heart perspective is that these men and women are wolves, hypocrites, lazy beasts, liars, killers of the sheep, etc, etc. The fact that someone turns from suicide while watching the show is an inidcation of the power and grace of God, not a validation of these pimps’ programs. As I say about the Catholic Church - a person can get saved in the organization (see Martin Luther). But it will be DESPITE the church doctrine, not BECAUSE OF the doctrine.

I got saved in a primitive pentecostal church surrounded by the mentally deficient (literally - Mother Armstrong took care of men and women who were wards of the state). But I would not return to that, or place myself under her “ministry” ever again. God was quite gracious to me. But I don’t take that graciousness as a validation of my behavior.

First of all I would like to say to Justaguy: The Lord said that those pastors’ deeds out way the wicked! and as far as judging this is what 1 Cor. 2:15 says: But he that is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is judged of no man. 1Cor. 6:1-4 also states about judging the following: Dare any of you, having a matter against another, go to law before the unjust, and not before the saints? Do you not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are you unworthy to judge the smallest matters? Know you not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life?
[4] If then you have judgments of things pertaining to this life, set them to judge who are least esteemed in the church. So….therefore judging is not “as bad as what the preacher did”. In 2Cor. 11:13-15 says this about false preachers: For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works. So you see the Word of God calls them ministers of satan. It is that serious. In Jer. 23 that whole chapter is discussing false pastors that God did not call or even speak to yet they ran or say the Lord says. He is furious with them. So to make light of what they are doing is absurd.

One thing that is funny is that I thought it was just a rerun of a past beg-o-thon. Everything seemed to be the same as previous shows. I watched two minutes of Jamal Bryant talking about “changing positions” using a story of his experience staying up late to take care of his twin daughters. I watched the faces as the camera panned the crowd and one guy seemed to look as though even he was surprised that he was drinking in this poison. I feel so sorry for the people because they’ve been trained to respect persons, listen without discernment, check their brains at the door, and use their bibles for coasters on their coffee tables at home. This is the way I could have ended up but I refused to do so and God by His grace brought me out of the foolishness.

Be sad and be angry. But more than either of these, when you are given the opportunity, speak out against these spiritual thugs. Speak out with facts, clips, Bible, and passion. The people they take advantage of sometimes don’t know any better. Help them to learn better. Name names, be specific. And pray for the people trapped by their own ignorance and greed.

-Its a crying shame that they have no conscience when they blatantly lie to people. This is now beyond deception. They are now openly lying to folk with no problem.

There is no other type of telethon in America that can get away with such.

And for those wondering, no I’m not saying I want there to be some sort of government intervention.

It’s up to Christians to spread the light and quench their darkness.

Melinda Pullings is just an understudy of Juanita Bynum. Neither one of them can minister a coherant message based on scripture. It’s all about being poor, what they did and what you can do to get money from God. Did anyboby notice Donnie McClurkin seemed not to be feelin Melinda or Jamal Bryant?

Of course I could only offer clips on YouTube, but I saw McClurkin clapping in agreement with some of their nonsense. He’s part of the gang.

I’ve got literally GBs of video from that Pimp-a-thon. At some point when the Internet advances, to make it easier to transfer so much footage, maybe I’ll post more. (And of course I don’t want to post so much that I’m found in any sort of legal violation. I hope that what I’ve posted is allowed to remain as Fair Use, in the name of research and study. Because there is no way any true Saint cannot see this as against God. It truly is another Gospel they are preaching. It is not the Gospel of Jesus Christ. They not only lie to the people they are lying on God…… God said,God said. Very scary!! They have no respect or love for God or the true Gospel. They have no shame or fear at all. We need to pray for all of them. They are in damnation as we speak unless they have repented.

The Pulpit Pimps website is a joy. I’m old enough to remember when the Word was the Word; and the Word was preached from the BIBLE from CHRISTIAN pulpits. However, like this website (Pulpit Pimps), I too, have been “complaining” but I have been complaining and fussing for MANY, MANY decades about the prostitution of the Word –and of God’s people– and very much so about these flambouyant, greedy, lying, show-boating, arrogant, money-hungry, selfish, greedy, (I know–I said “greedy” before) pulpit pimps and PIMPETTES. I’ve been fussing for so long (decades) about this pulpit-pimping until I felt I’d originated the phrase, “Pulpit Pimp.”

I’d never heard anyone else use that particular phraseology (pulpit pimp) prior to finding this site, but this pimp mess is an insult and can also be very discouraging. I’m 63 almost 64 years of age, was brought up in the era when this kind of robbery, deceit, disrespect, and pimping of the Gospel and God’s people just didn’t happen, or if it did, the pimps and pimpettes were more subtle, and I knew nothing about it. Further, no one was so bold then as they are now!

In fact, if there were pulpit pimping 50 “plus” years ago, it wasn’t prevalent enough to even be noticed. It’s so sad. It’s also very discouraging and is detrimental to the Kingdom Work that Jesus left fo us.

The preachers in my day didn’t have any more material possessions than their members (most had even LESS) and on top of that, AND in spite of their lack of “plenty-any”, they very, very often would STILL dig into their pockets to help members who had less than they. We all helped each other and we showed kindness and love to each other.

They, the pastors of my day, for the most part, were real shepherds. They loved the Lord and they loved God’s people whom God had given to them to teach and guide.

They, the pastors of MY day, along with the congregation, were as “poor as Jesus”, as a matter of fact! None of us had much of anything, but we all LOVED and helped each other. This is “old-time religion, but every Sunday, at least one of the members would invite the pastor to share their meager meal with their family. None of us had too much, but back then, we all shared and everything was good, (including the BAD!) and that’s true because at that time, we put God first!

I’ll say this, then I’ll close:

I refuse to waste any more Sunday with pimps and pimpettes. Although I visit, in my quest to find a Christ-centered church, I haven’t had a membership in a church for several years because I’m searching for that one special, RARE church that has Christ at the center, not an ungodless man–and certainly not a WOMAN! And the Bible, the Word of God, is preached, not the opinions of the “preacher.”

I’m so glad to see the few sites that are calling it what it really is. Pulpit pimpery! Unpure and simple!

2007-04-15 22:56:45

BagLady - We’ve been in need of more elders to share wisdom like yours.

Personally, I’ve found that if you can find a church with an older, more seasoned pastor you still might find some good work being done. They’re usually not running mega-spots though, so they’re hard to find.

I see nothing different from what the pimps in the videos above are saying and what the original Pimp Rev. Ike has on his site currently:

Discover the Presence and the
POWER of GOD - Infinite Good - within you.

Learn how to use this Infinite Power to:
BE what you want to be,
DO what you want to do, and
HAVE what you want to have!

Why didn’t TBN call him in? These pimps have no respect for their pimp elders. Is there no honor among thieves?

Independent Conservative, thanks for your reply of April 15th. I’m just seeing it tonight. There is so much here until sometimes I don’t see everything right away. I can’t come here too often, because when I do I spend so many hours here, and I spent about two hours on the Independent Conservative site this afternoon, too. Getting addicted! LOL!

Is that your site that is called Independent Conservative? I spent quite a bit of time over there today, too. It’s a wonderful place with so much to see. While I was there, I listened to the 52 minute audio that exposed the ignorance of TD Jakes in accusing Naomi and Ruth and David and Jonathan of lesbianism and homosexuality. I never did trust that man when he first started being seen on TV. He came to my city back in the latter part of the 80’s or the first part of the 90’s and charged the church where he spoke 10,000 for two nights of “speaking.” I guess it would be closer to 50,000 or 100,000 for two nights now if somebody had him to their church to speak.

Regarding the Bynum woman, did anyone see her video on YouTube where she was “preaching” to the women on how to sexually please their husbands? She is one more mess! It was NOT the kind of “sermon” that should’ve been spoken in front of children, but she is a bold as brass, and her little wimpy looking, hen-pecked husband is a mess, too. He is less knowledgeable that she is, and she weas the pants in the family. Oh, there was her wedding video there too. It shows how much she spent on that wedding, all from the money she’d begged up from her different times on the air.

When is a pimp not a pimp? Is this a trick question? I’ll take a guess. A pimp is not a pimp after he/she dies?

2007-05-07 10:12:24

IC, I thought Rev Ike was dead! Is he sill living? There was another man years ago, before Rev Ike, if I’m not mistaken –or it was about the same period of time. This was one who called himself Father Abraham, who came to my city and beat a lot of poor Black people out of their money. He had a game like Ike. Prayer cloths, anointed oil and perfumes, candles and other stuff he got from the Keystone Lucky Store. His specialty at that time was 20, 50 and 100 dollar lines. The best blessings, of course, were in the 100 dollar line. Get in either line and be blessed when you get to the front of the church or tent.

He played fast and loose with the women here in my city, nasty thing! He put several Black businesses out of business with his 100 dollar lines and other scams, and one of the ladies he was “romancing” shot him in the rump, and he disappeared for awhile. He either left town or hid out for awhile but his shills told everybody that he had to go “across the water” for awhile, and when he recovered, he came back or came out of hiding, and this man, this Father Abraham then introduced the holy water scam, stating it came from the Holy Land and was blessed. He was selling that water like it was something special. People can be so gullible.

(MN: I really don’t like Ike. But until the case is decided, I don’t want to put this out there. If he is found innocent, nothing can get this back. As such, I avoid publishing accusations, only convictions or admissions from the horse’s mouth or his lawyers (read here: Hornbuckle) )

I figured that would be cut down at the door :D . (MN: I try to be consistent. )

OK, I won’t mention that again, but I’ll just say, BagLady his FLESH is very much alive :D .

Rev Ike IS dead…………….double dead in fact.

Jud 1:11 Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam FOR REWARD, and perished in the gainsaying of Core.
Jud 1:12 ¶ These are spots in your feasts of charity, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: clouds [they are] without water, carried about of winds; trees whose fruit withereth, without fruit, TWICE DEAD, plucked up by the roots;

Melvin,

I’m curious to know where John K. Jenkins, Sr. earned his degree in seminary or divinity school. What are his qualifications?

The more I listened the more I was angered and embarrassed that I sat in that house of mammon worship for nearly 3 months. To make matters worse I had my oldest daughter join so she could get a good church experience. I was such a fool and now I know that we can never judge something by how it makes us feel but by how it measures against scripture. You Tube is full of this nonsense but I don’t have the stomach to watch anymore.

(MN: Congratulations on your escape. Hope your daughter recovers and grows as a Christian. )

Don’t feel so bad. Some of us (me) were under such false teaching for years (7 listening to Eddie Long). I’m trying to help others get out now, by showing them the truth.

Rejoice that the Lord loved you enough to help you get beyond that. (Of course the Lord loves us all, but thank God some of us have continued reading to learn the truth.) In the end, you now have a more solid foundation in scripture than when you went into such a place.

I’m tired of people who say this vile pimps should be prayed for so GOD will turn them from their ways or that they should not be judged when people (Melvin’s site) mainly states the truth about this people.

When will some people (those who say do not judge) learn that this people “ARE NOT FOLLOWERS OF CHRIST”. They “ARE NOT CHRISTIANS” hence they “ARE NOT BRETHRENS”

Amen, Gab!

They are preaching another gospel. They are not preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

You know it is amazing how this stuff is suppose to work. I sat in this enviornment for 8 years being deceived into thinking i can put a mandate on God by doing what the pastor said. What blasphemy saying if you give to a certain ministry God is obligated . What? is there no fear of God?

I wasn’t sure where to post this and I was going to email Melvin but I thought I’d see what peoples responses were first. Can somebody help me?

I was telling a friend of mine about a female pastor who was leading a prayer session during choir rehearsal and led us to pray that if the most notorious gang memebers of London do not repent within a certain amount of time, that God should kill them. I was saying that I didn’t pray that prayer as I found it a waste of time. From there we got onto healing and how health isn’t guaranteed as a christian. He went on to declare (just as a WOF follower would) that those who are sick are not using their true faith as Jesus with faith of a mustard seed we can move mountains and that Jesus gave us authority through his name that we can ask whatever we want and recieve it. I had a problem with that, but we went into a 3 hour back and forth argument about it.

Can someone help me answer this: As christians are we guaranteed health? Does faith mean we should not be ill? If I am ill with a disease and don’t get cured, have I lacked faith?

Sorry for the questioning (I’m tired so it may not make sense) but I’ve used scripture and this guy still believes that Sickness is of the devil, as christians we have become Gods own, being of the spirit and not of the flesh means we do not have to fall ill and that we are not using faith when we accept that we are ill. Have I missed the mark somewhere? Please help!!!?? Thanks

Mr.BiblesBibles:

By His stripes we are healed is not a reference to
physical healing but that from sin.
No where does God state that Christians are
guaranteed healing.
God is sovereign and your prayer of faith to God
about your healing is both Biblical and proper but
God will decide if that answer is for his glory and
your edification.
There is no law that God is subect to that he “must”
do something simply because we prayed.
In John Chapter 17….when we abide in Christ and
He in us (via the presence of his Holy Spirit) we will
be more attuned to ask and receive what we ask
because we are asking according to the will of the
Father. Remember..Jesus did nothing on his own.
All that he did he saw the Father do and he was
obedient to that or did what he saw the Father do.
We can do no less.
Don’t let religious people shake your faith. If you are
sick or ill pray to God for healing but don’t believe
that God “must” heal you or else.
Sickness is not of the Devil. Read the Book of Job.
God is in control and he allowed Satan to use
sickness against Job to test Job. God is not caught
unawares or off-guard by the attacks of the enemy.
You have not missed the mark. Stay strong. Pray
regularly. Believe God for victory and walk in the
faith that is revealed in the Word of God. The joy
of the Lord is your strength!
Blessings….

thanks for your reply….before I got your response, he came back for more, I showed him every biblical example that refutes his view, I showed him the inconsistencies in his premise, but to no avail. In fact now his cousin wants a piece of me, lol…..I pray God opens his eyes….really appreciate the reply though, God bless!

Benny Hinn is not happy that he was being exposed on YouTube, he’s had over 20 videos removed and some were not even about him at all. I’ve detailed my findings in this post on my blog.

It will continue a running list of all Benny Hinn videos that were removed. If you know details of any not included in my list let me know.

I would like to comment on the healing and being sick I disagree that if one gets sicks that its always from the devil. But one thing that I do know for a fact Jesus Christ is Lord and the word said we are heal by his stripes and that’s what I beleive he never said we would not get sick and if we did that means it’s from the devil we give the evil one to much credit as it is. all sickness is not unto death but just testmony amen
