Since we are discussing Paula Pimpette, I decided to put this link up as a posting. Take a look at what she says tonight on CNN. Oh, and notice how the article describes Paula - inspirational speaker and life coach. Although I guess I’m glad they wait until way later to mention that she is a “pastor”.

I would have to agree she does feed the poor; however, she doesn’t mind pocketing a good portion of the money to finance he lifestyle. Collin Powell should be smarter than that. But hey who am I to speak against the woman of God? I wonder why Jesus is painted as this humanitarian, hippy, who walks around doing charity all of the time. I wonder why we never see the verses such as : Mark 1:38. So many times Jesus stresses the issue that he didn’t come to meet peoples physical needs but to pay for the penalty of their sin. I believe we should clothe the naked, feed the hungry, and house the homeless; however, when our ministries become focused on that we have now side-stepped our mission which is to preach the Gospel and look no different than the Peace Corps. If I had to choose give me a hungry saint over a full devil.

that right there is a major issue going on right now with the majority of professing believers and ministries. I suppose their reasoning is usually that “people need food, shelter, education, and jobs - not to be preached at all of the time.” They neglect the fact that the scripture teaches us balance. It is a sin to know someone is in need, yet you say “I will pray for you, go now and be well”, and not help them if you are able to. But, the person’s spiritual condition is always of most importance. What good does it do to feed and cloth the needy, yet when they die they are still going to hell for eternity?

Unfortunately, it looks to me that those in the professing body are starting to look at God’s ways, as irrelevant and not up with the times. How Ubsurd!!

Mr Woods,
If Paula “really” gave to the poor than take a look at the post regarding her reneging on giving a house to a single poor woman. She gives nothing to nobody but herself.

I don’t know about everyone else, but I am not going to be one of the ones that Jesus tells to depart because He never knew me….even if I did feed the poor…sorry Paula! Besides, DMX, JayZ, and many others feed the poor but works mean nothing to God. It is a heart thing, a relationship thing.

2007-04-06 06:45:43

First of all, they degrade our LIVING Lord with the words “What Would Jesus Really Do?”. He’s living and working in all who love him. That’s some of what he’s doing. They need to stop acting like He’s dead, in their efforts to stuff words in His mouth.

And it’s time to open the can and just be plain about it. Now that we have a thread 100% about her. She should not be assuming the title of “pastor” in the first place. But a scripture twister changing things to suit the Women’s Rights movement is no surprise to me.

I find these things troubling, almost as if the media is looking for a “christian” who suits the moment and not a Christian who stands steadfast in Christ. Today, it’s Paula White, tomorrow it’s Al Sharpton, next week it’s Calvin Butts and John Dominic Crossan.

Almost as if? Oh they are totally doing it intentionally.

What, did you expect people who endorse mess like homosexuality and might be doing it themselves to hire a bunch of Christians that would say it’s sinful?

I’m telling you, Atlanta has mess going on that rivals ancient Rome. The cops know it and just let it slide.

its a shame that most people don’t even know what the Passover represents… Futhermore, what is even more confusing is how we incorporate Bunny Rabbits and eggs (like rabbits actually lay eggs…lol) into the death and ressurection of Jesus Christ. How can a church, with a good conscience, have an Easter egg hunt and bless it like this is what the Lord allows? You can’t convince me that truth isn’t lacking now-a-days.

Hello, I know this thread is about Paula White and that I haven’t been around in a while, but I just wanted to address the anonymous poster about Easter.

Easter actually is about the bunny rabbits and the eggs. Easter is a pagan celebration based on the Vernal Equinox and a celebration of the goddess of fertility. As a matter of fact, Easter is an itteration of the name of the god Astaroth. The Catholic church, presumably in an effort to evangelize the pagans, decided to develop a celebration of Christ’s ressurection to coincide with the Vernal equinox celebration.

The pagan celebrations celebration of fertility had as its symbol the rabbit (have you ever heard the phrase, “their multiplying like rabbits?”). Also the egg is another symbol of fertility. Inother words, the bunny came first and is the official representation of Easter.

We celebrate Resurrection Sunday. I know, I know, some of you avid Bibleers have your bookmark in Acts 12:4 where Peter was thrown in prison until after Easter. Very good that you asked about that. The Greek word that was used there is pascha which was actually transliterated from the Hebrew. Every single time in the Old Testament and the New Testament without exception that word is translated Passover. Youngs Literal Translation (which has been endorsed on this site) also agrees that this word should be Passover.

In short, the Easter is about the bunny, but Resurrection Sunday is about Christ. Picayune? Perhaps, but I think it is important enough to make a distinction.

(MN: Here, let me play with a lit match while wearing a gasoline soaked souvenir T-shirt from San Francisco. Is there any call from the Bible to celebrate Easter? I mean if we are going to be picky enough to try to change it to Rez Sunday, maybe we should examine it a bit more closely in terms of a valid day to celebrate. I mean, it doesn’t even have the decency to always show up on the same date. Who came up with the protocol of “The first Sunday after the first full moon after the vernal equinox” anyway? [It’s a rhetorical question. You don’t have to answer.] )

Comment by Elder Hank
2007-04-11 13:29:42

I am not sure who it is that determined that Easter should fall on the first Sunday after the first full moon after the vernal equinox, but I am sure that it was an ancestor of the baseball stat announcers (”Did you see that? The last time that a homerun was hit by a left-handed Mexican-American with contact lenses from Idaho was back in the famous 1976 World series and I think we all know how that worked out!!”)

Greetins, brothers and sisters,

The door was opened and I’m going to slip through it before it closes. Regarding Easter, I can understand a misunderstanding about celebrating it as Easter or Resurrection Sunday, (because I know that Easter is a pagan holiday, I don’t celebrate it; but what I’d really like somebody to explain is, why do so many churches and Christians feel the need to recognize and celebrate that devilish, demon, pagan day called “Halloween?”

I can’t stand that Paula woman, don’t listen to her or any other female preacher. I would never willingly subject mysely to a woman. It’s funny how some women can go toe to toe with their husbands in many instances, in spite of: 1Co 11:3 “But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God,” yet will sit under the authority of another woman. I’ve seen some women preachers right here in my hometown who’ve been the cause of marriages and families breaking up! I’d never willingly subject myself to another woman!!!

I beg you in the love of God to reconsider what your blog is about. Are there crooked preachers? you bet. But most of the preachers I know are hard working, family oriented, people loving soul winners. To me, Jesus Christ is still the answer and the focus of History. do not allow the resentments against certain ministries keep you and others from knowing his love and care for you. christians are doing remarkable things throughout the globe: literacy training, feeding the hungry, fathering the fatherless the list goes on. for every hypocrite you complain about there are multiple thousands of disciples of christ doing the works of the kingdom. write about them. Please, I beg of you all, do not allow judgments of others to bring you into judgment. Jesus Loves you

(MN: It’s amazing how quickly one forgets. The site was down for four days and I had already forgotten the magnitude of the Pimpological Vulnerability Factor (also call Sheeplocity) exhbited by the poor sheeple who visit the site. The consistently make assumptions (assumed resentments and the such), natter on about the obvious, and tell me to PLEASE don’t publicize the evils the pimps are doing. Cane Jackson,
Sorry to inform you about your Biblical illiteracy but Jesus saves, not Paula. Also, when a phony like this can buy TD Jakes a new Bentley yet renege on a house for a poor single black mother you are the one who needs to open your eyes regarding this woman. You sheeple are all foolish and lack any discernment having no ability to rightly divide the scriptures. Another thing, if her ministry was so great why is it I never hear her preach repentance of sins, holiness in living, and fear of the Lord. All that comes out of her mouth is twisted scripture telling people not to rob God and if they do they will never be financially prosperous. Why don’t YOU read your Bible and recognize that its about inherently evil mankind that needs the shed blood of the messiah. The Prosperity Gospel has no validity and is no where mentioned in the Bible. These phonies twist scripture and create this “new” gospel out of whole cloth. Quit drinking the kool aid called the Prosperity teaching and crack open a Bible. BTW, it might help to actually be saved in order to understand the scriptures.

Hi Cane,
It has always puzzled me, if you say that “her ministry has saved half of the souls…..” Is one really saved if they are saved under a false gospel and a false Jesus? If even MOST of her ministry is truth, but even a small part is a lie, then it makes the whole thing a lie……I was once a part of all this prosperity gospel lie and was told to give and God would give back to me 100 fold…….when I couldn’t pay my bills and my electricity was cut off, I was told it was b/c I didn’t have enough faith.

I have asked for forgiveness and repented of believing this lie….I’ve also prayed the sinner’s prayer again since I’m not sure if I was saved under a false Gospel.

Dear Redman,

Perhaps, if you’ll say something that’s Biblically sound, coherent, properly punctuated, deep like the Apostle Paul; and, when all else fails, funny, you’ll likely get through.

Yet, all that falls by the wayside if you’ve not paid into your “I see a Vision of a Breakthrough in this Season so here’s my Seed” fund. It’s $50 per entry for weekday displays, and for the low-low cost of $48.99, he’ll get you in on the weekends (less traffic, you see). Add $25 dollars per entry, if you’d like to use profanity; there’s a great demand for that with the sheeple. Just go to your PayPal site, touch the screen and say, “he-bout-ta-break-me” 7 times, really fast, and follow the instructions for sending in payments. ***

Really, I am tired of the dont judge line. Here are some definitions of the verb to judge:

transitive and intransitive verb to assess the quality of something or estimate probabilities

· Each proposal has to be judged on its own merits.

transitive verb to form an opinion of somebody or something, especially after thought or consideration. e.g

· She was judged to have the best qualifications.

Now the word of God speaking to believers here says in 1Co 2:12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.
1Co 2:13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
1Co 2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
1Co 2:15 But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.
1Co 2:16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.

Where it says the spiritual man judges all things, judges is defined as coming from the greek word

anakrinō - properly to scrutinize, that is, (by implication) investigate, interrogate, determine: - ask, question, discern, examine, judge, search.

So is it ok if I do as the Bible says I should?

As to dissecting it is defined as - transitive verb to examine or analyze a person or subject in detail.

I think this too is in keeping with the instructions of the Bible. Please respond and don’t just be another drive baaaaay

To C.L they are judging themselves on what they teach. Yes I I’M seeking out my own salvation, But that doesn’t stop these PIMPS from doing what they do. DId you ever read false teacher’s in your bible.
I know what Galations 6:1 says I agree. The problem is
I don’t know what makes them leader’s? Second if they are false teacher’s how can they be leader’s of what I might say. Yes this site does care’s for believer’s in Christ, not for Pimps in Christ.

@C.L…

On the contrary, we do pray for these people; as a matter of fact, every Wednesday at noon, we get together and sing Kumbaya. Hasn’t helped; they have gone the way of Baal.

Praying is something we do in private, not to be seen of men; and, it becomes corporate when we all pray with one accord. Revealing that which is false concerning the Gospel is defending the faith (Jude 1:3); sharply rebuking erred teachings, and those who teach them (Titus 1:10-13), is a part of every believer’s duty.

While you’re admonishing this site to pray for these wolves, has your prayer gone any higher than your keyboard? Stop holding up mirrors that you’re afraid to peer into yourself.

Well I to can’t stand these pulpit pimps and this divorce announcement with out a specific reason is a bunch of crap. I looked through the internet and found an interview done by Paula about a week ago on a program called, “Flashpoint” which air on Sundays locally in Tampa, Florida on ABC affiliate channel 28. This is a couple of months AFTER the divorce announcement.

There were specific questions asked to Paula which she didn’t directly answer. Some of those questions were:

How did you come to have such a large and loyal following among African Americans?

Why do you live like a rock star?

Why won’t you reveal how much money you and Randy White take from the church?

Does the end of your marriage with Randy White call into question your commitment to Biblical teachings?

Of course Paula came off as if she was avoiding the questions and giving a “diplomatic” answer. It just goes to show you when you’re trying to hide something, in this day and age of the internet you won’t succeed bc eventually it will come out in due time.

If you want to see the interview, here is the link.

She also turned the question back on the announcer by answering a question with a question to futher dodge the response.

I just watched the interview, thanks for the link. Paula White is a master snake and she slithered right through that interview unscathed. In my opinion, she led the interview saying things like “let’s get back to ‘You’re All That’ when she was asked about why they live like rockstars.

She also turned the question back on the announcer by answering a question with a question to futher dodge the response.

Paula White and her cohorts are wolves in sheeps clothing and they are robbing the poor, the widows and the orphans. It is shameful and disgraceful.

To all of the Paula White defenders:

Please watch this interview and then explain why you would follow someone who admitted that she doesn’t even believe in the concept of failure. The next step is that “There is no hell. Because if people went to hell, then that would mean they failed and there’s no such thing as failure!” You people have been had.

If you follow Paula, then you will end up where she ends up and where do you think that is? I’ll give you a hint: it’s hot, there are no exits, there is no air or water, it’s dark, and the only manifestation of God that is there is WRATH!

I’M SORRY BUT SHE IS NOT A WOMAN OF GOD… A WOMAN OF GOD IS SOMEONE WHO STANDS BESIDE HER HUSBAND. A WOMAN OF GOD IS A HUMBLE AND LIVES HUMBLING… SHE IS A FAKE… SHE IS IN THIS FOR THE MONEY. I HOPE THE LORD DOES WHAT HE NEEDS TO DO… TO BOTH OF THEM… AND ONCOVER THEIR SHAME… LIFT THEIR SKIRTS UPON THIER HEADS AND EXPOSE THEM.

Here is what upsets me about this woman (besides the false teaching, which is BIG) - she and her husband throw marriage around like it is garbage to be thrown out when it gets old. I’m insulted because I have stood in a marriage and allowed God to take what was broken and make into something that is beautiful. Marriage is used in the Word as an illustration of God’s great love for us. When you divorce it takes away from that illustrate, because God never deserts His bride.

My husband and i have been married for 15 years and I thought we were not going to make it to our third anniversary. Of those 15 years my beloved has been in prison for the last 12. We were seperated when Mark went in, but I knew God was going to use it to heal our marriage. From prayer and scripture I knew God did not want me to desert my husband. What I was reminded of during this time is God parting the Red Sea. My thoughts were. “If God can part the Red Sea, He can save my marriage.” And guess what? He has!!

My point here is that God’s Word is faithful and true. If Randy and Paula White were following the Word the bad fruit of divorce would not be in their lives.

I’m not a fan of PW. Every time I see her on the tube, before she has even spoken, somehow she comes across as a junior high school cheerleader, totally immersed in herself. Also, she seems glib and fake. However, having read most of the comments on this site, most of the posters themselves are no better than she is. BTW, I do believe in prosperity. It’s not the focus of a Christian’s walk, but it is a benefit, just like healing is. 3 John 1:2 “Beloved, I wish above all things that you may prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospers.”

Sorry jealous/envious folk, but it IS the Almighty’s will that we prosper, that we have life, and have it abundantly. Most who are opposed to this are the jealous type, envious of others having material possessions, and their prescription is, “they shouldn’t have it, either.” Hence, all the poison on this site that passes for “proper and just judgment.”

You people are just as bad at judgment as PW is at focusing on prosperity. Jesus is the focus; Scripture is the focus; the Holy Spirit is the focus; the person in the mirror is the focus, as far as work to be done. Again, I’m not a fan of PW. Some of the others under investigation by Senator Grassley I have been blessed by listening to. I have sent Joyce Meyer money, but not to get rich. Only to support the outreaches she runs. She bought a $23K commode. It’s wasteful, but so what? She doesn’t run a cult. If she did, I certainly wouldn’t be in it.

If you people want to bellyache about someone, be my guest, but you are committing a sin just as bad as PW. (”If you err in ANY area of the law, you have broken ALL the law”). If you don’t want to give money to prosperity preachers, then don’t. If you don’t like certain people, then who am I to convince you otherwise?

There are people who will never accept that God wants you to be prosperous. If you can handle prosperity without it taking your focus off spiritual matters, the Almighty could not care less. I’m not sure everyone who has posted on this site agrees with that–and is you don’t, per the Scripture I detailed above, then you’re wrong–completely, totally wrong.

Again, God has nothing against prosperity, if you can handle it. But remember, it is to our own master that we stand or fall. And if you have an anti-prosperity agenda, you’re not following scripture.

Vows of poverty come from that ancient denom that has almost completely obscured scripture. Jealousy and envy are not godly traits. Your view should be, “I believe in prosperity,” or, “I don’t believe in it myself, but I don’t have any problem with others who do.” If you DO have a problem with prosperity, don’t listen to it. That’s okay with me, even if it means you deny the Scriptural provision and blessings of God. Why waste time complaining about PW, JM, KC, or even that terrible Munsey person?

LOL, no one on this site, certainly none of the self-righteous posts I’ve seen, is THE judge. Leave it to the master. IT IS TO OUR MASTER THAT WE STAND OR FALL. Jesus himself said to LEAVE BLIND GUIDES ALONE. THE BLIND WILL LEAD THE BLIND AND BOTH WILL FALL INTO A DITCH. If the people you complain about are wrong, God has a plan for them, mainly the ditch. And if you’re wrong, and you have to entertain that possibility–you’re guilty of false accusation. You have enough on your individual plate to last you a lifetime of focus–focus on yourself.

Regards, Bill

Bill,

Here are a few of your own words:

“Again, God has nothing against prosperity, if you can handle it. But remember, it is to our own master that we stand or fall. And if you have an anti-prosperity agenda, you’re not following scripture.’

Bill, the point that we are ALL making is that those engaged in pimpery DO NOT know how to handle it. You even agree to that. Generally, when we are accused of envy and being jealous, it is because our critics do not know THE WORD. Most people resort to personal attacks when they cannot argue the issues. The next thing that you will say is that Jesus beat the moneychangers out of the temple because he was envious of their businesses and jealous of their profits! The truth is the truth and I do not care whose feelings I hurt. Besides, there will be a lot of people that feel good in hell…lol…

One final note, not once did I read a reference to Jesus as the standard in your commentary. Makes one say hmmmmm.

Hey Bill,

I have a few questions I would like for you to answer. And I beg you to answer because most people who support the prosperity gospel scurry away from my common sense questions. So here we go.

Bill, were the apostles rich?

Bill, Chinese Christians are not getting blessed. In fact the Chi-com govt. tracks down Christians and harvest their organs. Does this sound like prosperity to you?

Bill, Sudanese Christians get their heads cut off like john the Baptist routinely at the hands of Muslims in that country. Does it prosper to have your families heads cut off?

Bill, when Christian missionaries go to foreign lands to spread the gospel and die heinously are thy getting blessed?

Bill, How many gospel tracts, bibles, and such could be purchased with that $26,000 dollar toilet or whatever Joyce bought?

Bill you need prayer brother. You need to open you heart and eyes to this deception. No one here would ever argue that all blessings come from the Lord but you have to get with reality and step out of your lazy “western world” Christian mindset. In fact, you should be grateful that you do live in the West and that you have been blessed. And maybe after that you she be humbled by the fact that you don’t suffer like other Christians in other parts of the world. Oh, and one more thing Bill expect to be in the back of the line when it comes to your part in the Kingdom because the Christians who are being persecuted for the Lord’s sake have first dibs.

Bill, grow up!

Kyle

Sigh! Sheeple never respond to my challenge in regards to persecuted Christians. It’s so easy being a sheeple when you have it so good.
