We expose those who use lies, false gospels, and extortionist methods to EXTRACT money from the flock. We highlight those who make MERCHANDISE of the church contrary to the clear warnings of Scripture.

2Pe 2:1 ¶ But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
2Pe 2:2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.
2Pe 2:3 And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.

The word translated “merchandise” here is from the Greek word emporeuomai, which means

1) to go a trading, to travel for business, to traffic, trade
2) of a thing, to import for sale
3) to deal in
4) to use a person or a thing for gain

Precisely the reasons we expose the pimps .

As for the tithe, please read the article you can access on the right side of the main page. The New Testament teaches no such thing, and the Old Testament tithe bears NO correlation to what the church at large pushes.

If you are going to drive by and contend with us, that’s cool. It would be nice, however, if you could substantiate your claims. Based upon your posts, I don’t think we are really as far apart as you think.

Bible warnings and instructions TO all—especially the thieves, liars, pimps, pimpettes, snakes, and wolves in sheep’s clothing who call themselves men and women of God:

Proverbs 28:6—Better is the poor who walks in his integrity than he who is crooked though he be rich.

Proverbs 28:11—The rich man is wise in his own eyes, but the poor who has understanding sees through him.

Proverbs 28:15—Like a roaring lion and a rushing bear is a wicked ruler over a poor people.

Proverbs 28:16—A LEADER who is a great oppressor lacks understanding. But he who hates unjust gain will prolong his days.

Verses 15 and 16 above describe those who lead by lies, deception, and
oppression BY GUILT—all of which keep receptive listeners poor. Notice, the
Bible calls these men and women roaring lions, rushing bears, oppressors,
and wicked. The Bible implies that this kind of gain is UNJUST!!!

Proverbs 28:18—He who walks blamelessly will be delivered, but he who is crooked will fall all at once.

Proverbs 28:20—A faithful man will abound with blessings, but he WHO MAKES HASTE to be rich will not go unpunished.

Proverbs 28:21—To show partiality is not good, because for a piece of bread [a small bribe] a man will transgress. [Transgress what? The law of God. In what way? First, he is for sale—he can be bought; second his worth is very, very, small!!! Usually, he begins by cheating his employer then by cheating the government.] I used to work “for” such a mand of gawd and he’s still at it!

Proverbs 28:22—A man with an evil eye hastens after wealth and does not know that want will come upon him.

1. You have to teach heresy of one form or another.
2. You have to emphasize prosperity and the God kind of faith.
3. You have to live, or be trying to live an extravagant lifestyle.

Teaching heresies is not enough, though most of the heresies lend themselves to pimping the congregation.

Being well off is not enough. Managing your money in a godly manner is one step in avoiding poverty in a free society. Though a man following after God is not going to live an extravagant life even if he has the resources to do it.

The prosperity and faith teachings? Well, I suspect they are the glue that hold all the pimps together. It is the essence of what makes them pimp-capable. Those teaching literally fuel their anti-ministries.

And please keep the argument consistent. Does the member who drives a nice car get the money from the congregation? No. Therefore he or she is not profitting at the expense of the congregation. That is the issue in the pimp thing.

And yes, there is something wrong with a pastor PUSHING the congregation to give ten percent of their income to him and the organization. If they want to, fine. But it should not be as a result of Pastor Jack trying to make them feel convicted. It should be as they are led in their hearts, not as they are beat on their brow.

Commenters must understand that Melvin, as the Benevolent Dictator of this site, has ethical/legal/eternal considerations relating to what he allows here.

Ethical, because to post unsubstantiated accusations that do harm (perhaps unjustly) to the person being discussed is ethically wrong.

Legal, because there have recently been cases where bloggers have been successfully sued for libel.

Spiritual, because Melvin will have to give an account for what he allows on this site.

There is little need to go beyond the public proclamations on the pimp’s own websites/interviews/writings/sermons to prove their doctrinal poison.

It is to Melvin’s credit that he did not begin this website as a gossip forum. His focus has always been doctrinal in nature. A format such as this can easily devolve into a sort of Christian National Enquirer. That he has resisted the pressure to let that happen speaks volumes as to his integrity.

I thank you for the questions you have raised concerning teaching “faith and prosperity”. I’d love to chime in with a few remarks:

1. First, there is nothing in the Words of the Lord Jesus that suggest that “God wants everyone rich.”

2. Second, the Lord Himself warned His followers of “Greed”, which is clearly promoted by the word of faith movement, thus, contradicting the Lord.

3. When one puts one’s focus on prosperity, it creates a grave danger: We become more interested in what is on the Master’s Table rather than the Master Himself.

4. If the pimps were truly living by “Faith”, they would “Trust” God to provide for the “needs” of their families as well as the “needs” of the ministry. I refer you to Philippians 4:19.

5. Lastly, has it ever occurred to you, sir that the only people who are “prospering” are the pimps and not the people? Please pay attention to that statement as it is packed with profound truth.

I hope you will at least give these comments some serious prayerful consideration. Have YOU become rich since you have been following these false teachers?

Thanks for the post. I didn’t realize Fast Eddie also pulled that scam. I have to give T Dexter credit because after scouring his web site I could not find any mention of grave robbing like Fast Eddie and Paul Crouch. I guess there is hope for Old Jakes. Maybe his conscience has not been totally seared yet and still has a little guilt when it comes to stealing the jewelry from corpse in the casket. Give him time, I am sure he too will one day ask the old to remember his ministry when they are one foot in the grave.

The estate steal is a very old trick. You get an old person who wants to go to heaven and tell them to “leave all your earthly possession to the work of the Lord” and some take the bait. How do you think the Catholic church had all that money to pay legal fees and court settlements? Quiet it’s kept, but they’ve been running that game for literally centuries.

Jesus asked people to forsake their earthly possessions and follow him. As in walk with him and his ministry. These pimps ask you for all your possessions and have no use for you after that. You can’t even get them to bury you for free.
