Ladies and Gentlemen, it seems a writer is interested in doing a piece on ET and the Right Reverend Jamal.

The writer asked me to canvass you for e-mail addresses if you are interested in communicating with this writer.

You don’t have to be a fan of Jamal. You don’t even have to be an enemy of the man. This writer is primarily interested in your experience, good or bad with him and the ET thing.

If you are interested in participating, send me your e-mail address and I will forward it to the writer.

Thanks,
Melvin

Mrs Mav……….I couldn’t put this response in the proper forum because the commenting is closed there. Just wanted to assure you that I agree COMPLETELY with you about the Sabbath/Sunday issue.

Personally, I am one who esteems all days the same. I couldn’t care less what day anyone meets to worship, and I’m firmly convinced by Scripture that God doesn’t lie awake at night worrying about it either.

The ONLY reason I went to the trouble to address the issue is because Mr Potts made the erroneous statements (among a plethora of other erroneous statements) that the church is REQUIRED to keep the Sabbath, and that Constantine changed the day Christians worship to Sunday.

My purpose was not to impose a NEW Law upon the church, but simply to demonstrate that his positions had no basis in fact, history, or Scripture. I did so by proving that the early church rejected the Sabbath and met on Sunday, and that they did so centuries before Constantine was even born.

Like Mel, I align myself with Luther on the issue.

you would also be ONE to participate in adolatry the sin that God hates Jer 10:1-6…” Learn not the way of the heathen….the customs of the people are vain..you cut down a tree……deck it with silver & gold…”& lie to your children & tell them santa comes down the chimney…STUDY YOUR HISTORY & see the origin of these adolatrous celebrations..Matt 15:3 WHY DO YE ALSO TRANSGRESS THE COMMANDMENT OF GOD BY YOUR TRADITION?….THIS PEOPLE DRAWETH NIGH UNTO ME WITH THEIR MOUTH, & HONOURETH ME WITH THEIR LIPS, BUT THEIR HEART IS FAR FROM ME. BUT IN VAIN THEY DO WORSHIP ME, TEACHING FOR DOCTRINES THE COMMANDMENTS OF MEN…. or worshiping Astoreth “the goddess of spring” Easter was not in the original scripture ..it was replaced to cover up Passover…Acts 12:4…….1 Cor 5:7 “…Christ our PASSOVER is sacrificed for us”…not Christ our EASTER is sacrificed for us” What has Easter done for you lately?….Jer 16:19…Surely our fathers have inherited lies, vanity, & things wherein there is no profit…Matt 7:21 “NOT EVERY ONE THAT SAITH UNTO ME, LORD, LORD, SHALL ENTER INTO THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN; BUT HE THAT DOETH THE WILL OF MY FATHER WHICH IS IN HEAVEN”…Ex 20:8 REMEMBER THE SABBATH DAY TO KEEP IT HOLY….Gen 2:1-3 …God sanctified the 7th day & Blessed it (and this was before Sinai) …the Sabbath is a sign between the TRUE GOD and His people..Eze 20:11-20, Ex 31:13
on any calendar, the 7th day is Saturday & not Sunday…yes you can worship 7 days a week but you must know with knowledge & history which Day was sanctified….God has appointed Holy Days for man to keep and they’re not infiltrated with glory & honor to false gods & goddesses…Lev 23….within these Feasts, God’s whole plan for man from the creation to the New Jerusalem is there….Zech 14:16-19 “…….this shall be the punishment of all nations that come not up to keep the Feast Of Tabernacles”…Zech 14:9 and the lord shall be king over all the earth; in that day shall there be one Lord, and His Name one”…God don’t have a separate people ..Lev 24:22……remember in Dan 7:23-25 ….the Beast shall think to change times & laws….was that not done with Constantine & others…how can man change or make unholy what GOD has made HOLY……GET A GRIP!…..and always it is “GOOD TO DO GOOD ON THE SABBATH”…

GOD BLESS YOU

Garv V, in response to your post:

“He has shown himself to be not only ignorant of the Word, but unconcerned with Truth. And THAT is where I cease to treat him as a brother.”

Then Jesus said to wipe the dust from your feet and keep moving. Obviously going back and forth with him is not advancing the kingdom. I have learned years ago (when I used to “debate” with various cults etc, that at some point you have to let go. As Paul put it, one waters, one planteth but God gives the increase.

That’s fine in a private encounter Al, and I agree with that. However, this is a public forum. And public sin or heresy is to be dealt with publicly.

How loving would it have been to leave his cancerous doctrine unrefuted, for babes in Christ to read??

They could well assume we HAD no answer, and therefore MR Potts was to be seen as doctrinally sound.

Or they could well have been left with the impression that what he was advocating was “no big deal”, and left them open to deception.

No buddy, the rules of engagement for someone publicly attempting to spread doctrinal poison are very different than the rules for confronting private disagreement.

It’s not about showing off knowledge (which I don’t claim to have an abundance of). It’s not about winning an argument……….it’s about protecting those who will be exposed to what he wrote here.

I hope you can see my perspective here…………..if not, WE can agreeably disagree ;-)

I am with you on this Me and my Husband where laughing when we saw the title Pastor Jordon was using Master Prophet. My Husband said what next “Grand Pu Ba” Master/Supreme Highest of all High. This is crazy what these Pulpit Pimps are doing.

On a serious note it is sad because the word of God clearly warns us that the is also another sign that we are living in the last days, many shall be deceived in the last days even the elect of God if possible. Who do we think the word is referring to not the world?

Most Believers’ don’t read the word they have been programmed to let the Pastor’s do it for them.

This is not right we must open our eyes and others around us to recognize that these are the very things that God is so upset about in the Body of Christ read Ezekiel - Chapter 8 why we really don’t get the fullness of God that we should. Thanks for having this Blog keep exposing these wolves in sheep’s clothing. (It’s encouraging to me.)

Something isnt right with this guy. I watch a dvd of him preaching at the potters house, and he was talking about how some stranger gave him over $1million worth of property in the Bahamas and that he was sending everyone for 4days and 4nights for $199, and to just get the paperwork when church was over. Everyone was screaming with excitement. However, on the back of the paperwork, that my mother has, it stated that once you get to the Bahamas, you have to view properties, and see presentations by sales persons. I’m assuming he gets $$$ for this…..

I am one of those individuals that is not taken or shaken by anything that man says or does. (MN: How about what God says? Are you shaken by what he says? Because hHe tells us to have nothing to do with men who preach another Gospel. He says we should not receive those who go beyond what was presented in the Bible. Doesn’t it bother you that Jamal reduces Jesus to nothing more than a confused 30 year old? Read your Bible and see what it says. Start with Romans 16:17. ) If you know God and His ways, you know the truth. Since you have attempted to launch a character assassination on Dr. Jamal-Harrison Bryant, what have you gained? You are basically inciting a riot. (MN: Okay, now you’re getting ridiculous. How am I causing people to go out in the streets and commit violent acts? You’re not even making sens here. Next thing I know, you’ll be accusing me of lynching Jamal electronically - oh wait! You do later in this meandering missive. ) If you went to great lengths to begin this blog with your picture of the crown and focused attention to your site, that makes you what? (MN: I don’t know. What does that make me? Some one who puts up pictures of stuff you don’t understand? The picture is not of a crown. It’s a pimp cup for preachers. ) Think about it. Has this site become your justification for not doing what God has called you to do? (MN: Quite the contrary. This site is what God has called me to do for now. ) Has this site become your God? (MN: Has Jamal become yours? ) If you felt that Dr. Jamal Harrison-Bryant was misquoting/misinterpreting scripture, how many times have you gone to him and told him? How many times have you prayed for him? People need to stop lynching each other in churches and begin to embrace the sprit of God to carry out the works that He has laid before us. (MN: Unfortunately, twisting scriptures is not one of the works of God. Warning others about such men is. ) This avenue that you have chosen is not the way. (MN: And you know this how? ) There is a way which seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death. Prov 14:12 This site may seem right to you………….and death does not always mean physical it also means to come to a complete end. Watch yourself, things have a way of coming back to you! (MN: Oh joy! Another threat from the Jamal Junkies. I better check my car before I start it this evening. )

(MN: This really is getting repititious. But that’s fine. It’s one of the reasons the site is here.

1. How is quoting the words of a man and comparing them to Scripture character assasination? Surely you don’t believe his words are evil? If you do think they are evil, then why are you following him? If you don’t think they are evil, and all I do is bring you his words, then what is the problem?

2. Why do you assume that if I bring to light the things he says, that I don’t pray for him?

3. Lynchings are hangings outside the law. What is the law concerning exposing the pimps and pimpettes who prey on people like you, who take advantage of men and women who are too enamored with them to see that their words (the words of Jamal and copany) deny the very nature of God.

If you would, please explain to me why the creator of the universe would have to figure out what his purpose was on earth. Never mind the threats, the insults, and the accusations. Simply explain to me how God in flesh would have to go to the desert to find himself. You make him sound like a 30 year old who never learned to take responsibility for his life. )

Comment by Rev. Russell Goodwin
2007-03-05 02:22:41

I’m not defending or bashing anyone. But you wonder why the creator of the universe would have to figure out what his purpose was on earth right? My point is this, the Bible Declares, God nether slumbers nor sleeps. But Jesus was asleep on the boat. He was here on earth as the Son of God. I will not argue with you on this issue because that is foolish but we can reason together. Once I give you the Word that’s it. I happen to know Pastor Bryant and he was very nice to me.

(MN:
It’s interesting that the people who can not defend what they believe about the person that the Bible sas “was God” (John 1:1) and that “God was among us” (Matt 1:23) and that “all things were created by Him” (Col 1:16 - 18) can only tell me that Bryant is a nice person and that they are not going to argue. It’s like watching a bunch of children defend the man who molests them by saying “He gives us candy.” IF you really believe that Jesus was not God while He was here, then you can’t believe that His death on the cross paid for your sins, since He was just a man like you and me (except that He was anointed like we can be).

And by the way, you haven’t given me the Word anymore than Cref gave us the word or Bryant has given us the Word. Surely you understand that quoting a verse out of context is not “giving the Word.” Jehovah’s WItnesses and Mormons do that and they aren’t even Christians.

And you are certainly free not to “argue”, but at this point your position seems idicative of you not being saved since you seem to be following a Jesus not in the Bible. But, hey, I’m not going to argue. I’ll just wait for you to come back with a valid use of Scripture.

Oh, and I noticed you call yourself “Reverend”. I hope to God this doesn’t mean you actually teach the crap you are refusing to defend. ‘Cause that means you are dragging people into the the Cref rathole with you. )

2007-03-05 12:28:25

While this is a bit off topic, I attended an “oldschool” church (I was a member of in ‘05/06) yesterday.

The Pastor is a man whom truly loves God. I admire his personalbility with EVERYONE. Humble man.

Now that being said, I listened to his message yesterday. We ALL have a duty to measure the words that are delivered to us.

His message was based upon Luke 4:18-24.

Now, the “kicker” is this;

Are we receiveing a preached message in order to communicate the message that lifts the people up?

Are messages being preached without the correctness of God’s Word admonished to the people in that they will receive what it is God would have them to from the messgae as the Holy Spirit ministers to them?

I do not have a problem with the man, but yet the message. I will pray for him as he taught based on v18, that Jesus received his commission to start (the reason he came) at age 30.

That anytime you receive revelation of whom you are no one would believe it (based on v24). Jesus received the revelation from God.

This went on for a great deal of the message (25-30 minutes). This was a HUGE misapplicated interpretaion.

I really, really gave him the benefit of the doubt, and continued to listen.

Afterward, I did not want to sound critical at all, but yet what was taught was not accurate.

But yet people were jumping up and shouting “Amen”, etc, etc. I listened, listened, and finally I just tuned out.

If one were to look at Luke 2:46-51 we would see that Jesus clearly had revelation of whom he was even at the age of 12.

“….must be about my Father’s business”. (Luke 2:49) contrasted with Mary (His earthly mother’s) “thy father” (v48).

I wrote down “buzz-words” because typically when people hear a message, these are the first things remembered.

Words like revelation, anointing, & purpose. All of these were attributed to Jesus, and starting his ministry at 30.

He was reduced to nearly mere man, to encourage the people.

Now, I did not mention much to anyone else except for my sig other. SHE didn’t even catch it (all the way, until I pointed these things out).

It is really camouflaged. Others in our large group enjoyed it (I suppose the music ?).

Nonetheless, it was interesting because I do not know how many caught this huge inaccuracy (maybe not even the pastor was not aware of what he was saying).

These type of matters really diminish Bible truth, in effort to feed the desires of sinful man. Which would we rather have?

The truth? Or “slight” inaccuracies and a great encouraging message for me?

Jamal Harrison-Bryant is making a difference in a demographic that is probably foriegn to each of you self righteous pharisaical persons.

You cast stones without seeing inside the story. YOu sit in judgement without giving your self and Harrison-Bryant an opportunity to defend himself.

A brave disciple..a real disciple would invite Harrison-Bryant to the forum. But you approach is that of a coward.

If you are a brave believer, than you must be a fair believer…

Harrison-Bryant is moving forward with his flock. His vernacular, approach and interpretation may not sit well with you and that is because non of you is obviously gifted to touch the heart of a crack, heroin, cocaine or any substance addict, a promiscuous woman with a house full of babies and no baby daddy or daddies.

The disdain you have for Harrison-Bryant, is the same disdain you have for a welfare mother and a drug dealer. People who live out of your realm of survival.
You think and believe you are better.

Harrison-Bryant gives them an opportunity to realize their greatness. So who is living by the Word??

However, you denigrate and defame, slander and question the integrity of a man minding his sheep. If you can do a better job of opening closed minds then you must set up your 501c3, get your license do what you have to do in the name of your Holy Tabernacle and top Harrison-Bryant who has inspired the public transportation rider to buy a car and declare independence.

His interpretations have turned around the lives of crack whores, drug dealers and illicit citizens who now have viable jobs, many are in college and some are now home owners and no longer the victim of the project or slum lord plantations. So STOP!!!!! GOD, JESUS, ALLAH or what ever name you want to choose as the honoric for that which greater and bigger than us all is not going to give you any brighter light than you are getting because your soul is lost in your fundamental darkest…jealousy and envy… VERY DANGEROUS.

Meanwhile Jamal is SAVING SOULS and doing it WORLD WIDE. Tis better to sell HOPE than to sell DOPE.

Have a great day!

I see you cite false Allah, you cite the error that humans are great, you’re too Biblically ignorant to know that it’s the WORD that breaks chains, and the Word mangled by Jamal is therefore powerless, you have no concept that Jamal couldn’t save anybody, and you love being pimped.

For me, the bottom line is my relationship with God. When I hear any pastor speak, I pray for God to give me the insight he wishes for me to receive from the message. Because no matter how great I think the pastor is, my listening to his message is not the only thing that will get me to heaven. My behavior, my actions & my relationship will make the difference. If I followed Pastor Jamal or anyone else and continued to sin, my relationship was never matured. How could that be anyone’s fault but my own?

Pastor Bryant is Ridiculous!

I was once a loyal follower; but after his children outside of marriage, ex-parte orders, houses that he purchased that are over $1,000,000 each (at least 2), Bentley, Recent court case for child support increase for a out of marriage child that as a parrishoner; I’ve never once heard him acknowledge and find that he has been fighting child support for over a year; and ultimately - the divorce case filed from his wife Gizelle Bryant. I feel dooped and ashamed that I have given my hard earned money and previous respect to the “pimp in the pulpit”
