Another hindrance to our giving is we’re afraid God won’t give it back to us. I don’t think we’d be surprised by believers who expect a return on every gift they give God, and that is, in part, due to what our leaders have taught us. I believe messages encouraging the church to seek the God of prosperity and provision has resulted in parishioners expecting a return on every gift we give God. In my opinion, some ministries have over emphasized prosperity and receiving blessings from the Lord. I think ministries should emphasize giving simply because we love the Lord and are committed to advancing the Kingdom of God. God’s word is made of null effect to the Christian whose been taught to expect something for all their giving, because if they don’t receive from God when they think they should, they might begin to think, “these principles of giving don’t work for me,” begin to doubt the word of God and stop giving all together. I don’t believe God gives a return on every gift we give him, at least not a return that’s readily seen or understood anyway, but as previously mentioned, we do store up for ourselves treasures in heaven!

The LAB’s reference to Luke 12.42-44 states:
“Jesus talks about a reward for those who have been faithful to the Master. While we sometimes experience immediate and material rewards for our obedience to God, this is not always the case. If material rewards came to us for every faithful deed, we would be tempted to boast about our achievements and do good only for what we get. Jesus said that if we look for rewards now, we will lose them later. Our heavenly rewards will be the most accurate reflection of what we have done on earth– and they will be greater than we could imagine.”

That would really put these false prophets on the run. If people started asking for a refund when no results came.

Still these folks need to learn the truth of Christ, or they stand to lose more than money, Acts 8:20-22.

Knowing that I have to answer to God I would be scared to death to do what these and others like him do.

That’s the difference between you and them. They don’t honestly believe God is real. They serve the god called “money”. Many of these pimps are closet atheists. Others believe God is only real if he’s making them rich. Which by definition makes their god “money”.

I pray if it be the Lord’s will that they come to their senses and repent.

God’s plan and will for the church and mankind as a whole will go on as scheduled, nothing has changed.

Why don’t we ever hear a lot of these ministers teach on what Jesus said,

19″Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. 20But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal.

TO ALL: If you read the words of Jesus and take in what He said, you will see a huge difference in what Jesus said to do and what the church is teaching today. Paul also said to watch out for people that use godliness as a means to get wealth.

Guess who else is into forcing people into observing old Jewish traditions and days that were formerly sacred? Ole Anthony and the Trinity Foundation!!! Ole has a full write-up and 2007 Feast Schedule. Of course he fails to mention Colossians 2. Really he does not note any new covenant scripture at all in that write-up .

I’m almost done with my research for a post about them. They’re pretty messed up folks. Check out their doctrine on their WHAT WE BELIEVE page. Now whenever a group speaks of the Holy Spirit and this is all they can come up with:

WE BELIEVE in the baptism of the Holy Spirit, the gifts of the Spirit operating in the Church– including speaking in tongues and physical healing– and the power of the Spirit maintaining the believer in the daily walk of faith. (Luke 11:11-13; Acts 2:1-4, 38-39; Acts 8:14-17; Eph. 5:18; I Cor. 12-14; Rom. 8:5-11; 14-17, 26-27; I Pet. 2:24; James 5:14; Acts 4:29-31)

All they can put in words is the mention of tongues, healing and preservation. Which means they’ve probably got some out of scripture babbling in full effect, although I can’t confirm that.
