Ladies and gentlemen, you enjoyed the Donnie the Preacher Man posting from YouTube so much that I thought I would show you another one.
He gets to the crux of the reason for Pulpit-pimps.org existence. If I can get his message out there, so much the better. However, I’m still not that sold on the crying.
Enjoy!
A tip o’ the hat to Independent Conservative over at IndpendentConservative.
MN: Now that’s what I’m talkin’ ’bout! This is another sower sowing the Word—as did Paul—appealing to the mind of man.
this is likewise pretty interesting. But yeah i agree, i can’t get with the crying and stuff, come on man…lol

Hi TOG, & WELCOME! Now, come on my brothers—men of God—give Donnie a break. I can honestly add that his father, Jimmy Swaggart, oftentimes, I do mean oftentimes, displayed the same emotion. The Bible records at least once (to my knowledge) that “Jesus wept.” I saw my Godly father cry (at the death of my grandfather), and it crushed me inside. But I remember thinking, “Real men can and do weep.” Sometimes I get so angry over my repeated shortcomings that I cry too; I cry when I’m overcome with joy AND sadness; I cry when I’m in pain; and I cry when I can’t stop laughing! I saw my husband cry once, and I’ll never forget it. It does NOT make a man less respected or loved; au contraire! AGAPE to all you men of God heavily endowed with one of His Spirits—humor
Beryle
(MN: I think his message is great. I’m simply suspect that he is using the crying to emphasize his point. Again, nothing against his message and no suggesting that he is not sincere. It’s just a personal thing. BTW - I cry every time I watch the ending of “The Iron Giant” (”Superman!!”). My wife saw me cry once. I don’t think she has forgotten it either. )
Hey, I would not be surprised if DS does visit the site because it is easily accessible via search engine……back in March/April ‘06 I would use a search engine on my PDA for various preachers back in April and I kept gettin’ Melvin’s comments as the #1 result…….. and would laugh at his rebuttals…..people would look at me like…”Who are you laughing at!?”
An easy way for Mel’s point to circulate w/o the TV airtime charges, eh??
Nah Beryle, don’t get me wrong i’m not saying its wrong for grown men to cry. We can all be moved by emotion. But it just seemed alittle fabricated, the swing of emotion appeared to be too quick. But its still funny…lol
I think Donnie visits this site.
Hi Donnie!!!
You guys are a trip. Maybe he is an emotional guy. Apparently he is fed up with the WOF as well.
I agree……….I’ve had tears in my eyes a couple of times in front of a congregation. I’m not much of a weeper, personally……….but at times the unction can GIT ‘YA!!!!!! Preach on Donnie!!!!!!
I believe Pastor Donnie is an emotional person–especially on this situation regarding the pulpit pimps. We should share in this sadness in how the Body of Christ is hurting because of the WOF. Moreover, it is equally sad that we don’t have many leaders that stand up for truth such as Pastor Donnie does. He is like a weeping Jeremiah who is pronoucing God’s warning ” Woe to the pastors that lead my sheep astray…” Jeremiah 23:1
Greetings everyone,
My statement “Woe to the pastors that lead my sheep astray” is paraphrase to Jeremiah 23. Below is an excerpt what today false preachers, prophets and teachers are doing as God reveals through His Word.
Jeremiah 23:1 Woe be unto the pastors that destroy and scatter the sheep of my pasture! saith the Lord.
14 I have seen also in the prophets of Jerusalem an horrible thing: they commit adultery, and walk in lies: they strengthen also the hands of evildoers, that none doth return from his wickedness: they are all of them unto me as Sodom, and the inhabitants thereof as Gomorrah.
21 I have not sent these prophets, yet they ran: I have not spoken to them, yet they prophesied. But if they had stood in my counsel, and had caused my people to hear my words, then they should have turned from their evil way, and from the evil of their doings.
23 Am I a God at hand, saith the Lord, and not a God afar off?
24 Can anyone hide himself in secret places that I shalll not see him? saith the Lord. Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith the Lord.
25 I have heard what prophets said that prophesy in my name, saying, I have dreamed, I have dreamed.
26 How long shall this be in the heart of the prophets that prophesy lies? yea, they are prophets of the deciet of their own heart;
27 Which think to cause my people to forget my name by their dreams which they tell every man to his neighbour, as thier fathers have forgotten my name for Baal.
32 Behold I am against them that prophesy false dreams, saith the Lord and do tell them and cause my people to err by their lies, and by their lightness; yet I sent them not, nor commanded them: therefore they shall not profit this people at all, saith the Lord.
39) Therefore, behold, I even I , will utterly forget you, and I will forsake you, ant the city that I gave you and your fathers, and cast you out my presence:
40 And I will bring an everlasting reproach (blame) upon you, and a perpetual shame, which shall never be forgotten.
Who is this Guy… And where can I buy the rest of this message.
I didn’t know where to post this but, did anyone happen to see Patti Labelle on TBN a couple of days ago? I don’t know the name of the pastor that was talking to her but, I’m just curious as to what someone else thought about it. Based on her comments, that pastor should’ve REALLY did some ministering to her instead of being caught up in the Labelle Glow.
Yes I saw Patti Labelle. I actually posted questions someowhere on here. Help Melvin!
Anyway, that was Bishop George Bloomer with her. He is from Raleigh Durham North Carolina. It was a mess. The whole thing made me so angry. the whole program was truly a mockery of the church. She stood on national television and sad she would continue doing what she is doing no matter what.
And what what about Bobby “Bubbly” Jones? Need I go on? And there was Dave Hollister who actually gave a strong testimony, and seemed to be the most sincere. Kelly “tag” Price who actually slapped the church in the face with her comments that Moses was rich and he had “bling” because he was raised in Pharohs’ house. And the guy who was from England that Angie Stone introduced who said that he was not a Chrisitian but he sings songs about Jesus.
Bishop Bloomer just skirted around him, and said that God was using him. That was a lie and this guy was standing there singing songs to excite the flesh of the people. I can not believe that he felt anything when he sang.
How come no one offered Christ to him? How come TBN has people that are lost ministering to others that are lost? Just does not make sense to me. Then you had Kenny Lattimore and Chante Moore singing “Make Me Like the Moon? What in the world is that all about? Jesus said ,”let you light so shine before men that they may see you good works and glorify you Father who is in Heaven.” Not the moon.
Oh then there was the Diva herself Patti Labelle singing ” I am going to walk around heaven” . This show was terrible heartbreaking and very deceptive. If you want to see it you can log on to TBN’s website and click archives from the show that was on on Monday and you can see the whole thing.
People remember that there must a change in our lives if we are going to talk about God. These people have crept into the church because of preachers that are giving their stamp of apporval on this mess, and doing it in the name of God.
But I wonder Melvin has Bishop Bloomer been drafted as a Pulpit Pimp? He supports Bishop Jakes, Jamal Bryant, Shirley Caesar and others. I do not understand this. What next?
Why does God need celebrities to affirm who he is? When the people in China are killed because they will not denounce Christ, I don’t see any of them going over there telling those people they are going to get a blessing. People in China have to go underground to go to a church that is not sanctioned by the government.
I am sick of it. The leaders have made the church a business and a prostitution ring. They are passing the people over to someone else to get what they can out of them. These record companies that sent their artist do not, I repeat, do not have God in mind. They are interested in selling records only. Shame on TBN for promosting such a disgraceful program.
I am deeply saddened.
I haven’t watched the show. If you go to http://www.tbn.org, go to the bottom of the screen until you get to “watch us” and click “view archives”. The date of this program was Monday, November 13, 2006. You can view archived programs for approximately a month of its original broadcast date.
The program that you are talking about: Patti Labelle hosts Bishop George Bloomer, Bobby Jones, Bobby Jones Choir, Angie Stone, Dave Hollister, Kenny Latimore & Chante Moore, and Lee Ryan in Nashville, TN. I used to be a diehard watcher of TBN, after a friend referred me to this site, I have seen the light. I am now going through the withdrawals of the “Gospel For Sale Movement.”
Again, I say, I can no longer fund the lifestyles of many of these preachers who reside in mansions, wear tailor made clothing, travel in private, luxurious jets, and profit of their conferences in Jesus’ Name; as their congreation live hand to mouth.
No one has it like that to send in or stand in a $500, $1000,or $2000 line.
No hateration here, just reality. We can’t be mislead into the prosperity movement, and that is what it is. It is about Jesus, not money making, and materialistic blessing having.
I thought that I was the only one (so-called Jezebel spirit) who refused the pimp game any longer.
His name is George Bloomer and he is one of Fast Eddie’s buddies.

True.
LadyK, I saw the show on the TBN archives. It’s a shame how they let this “diva” on there. Oh yes, who else was on there? Let’s see… Kelly Price, Angie Stone, Dave Hollister, Kenny Lattimore, Chante Moore, and the ever flamboyant Bobby Jones.
I agree with you 100%- It’s nothing but a flesh circus!
P.P.S. LaBelle said on the show that she is STILL singing secular music as well as Gospel. And the church on TBN will still accept it!! What a shame.
TBN has all the characteristics of an apostate church. Like club newbirth, they can hardly be called a “church,” but a profit-making, “none-profit” (having a none prophet) entity. Once upon a time they may have been sincere in their view of the Lord, but then they got blinded by the light from all the “bling” that the benjamins could buy. In their slide into apostasy, minus their respect for and fear of God, they met bedfellows like McClendon, “Bishops” Leonard and Long, J. Meyer, J. Bind-Em, P. White, T. Dexter, Walter Thomas, Dollar, etc., etc., etc. LaBelle, and certain other peers of hers, were probably never a part of the true Family of God anyway.
I didn’t get to see the show so I really can’t comment. I was reading about it on another christian board. And there’s a lot of “buzz” about it.
I don’t understand why Pattil LaBelle was on the show. Is she a professing christian. I know just because someone makes a gospel cd doesn’t mean they are a christian. To be honest it seems that TBN doesn’t “screen” their guests anymore. I know alot of you don’t care for Juanita Bynum but I believe she takes a sincere interest in who she has on guests on the show when she is hosting.
Greetings everyone,
I saw the archive on Patti Labelle and others and it was sad how Bishop Bloomer was calling Patti Labelle and Kelly Price, people who God is using to make people happy. What about draw people to Christ and be saved? He was so overwhelmed by their celebrity status that boosted him up and not Jesus . Patti Labelle needed to be ministered to when she said she would continue to sing gospel and r & b (she looked as though she wanted to say secular)but r& b was a better word, I guess. She said that when she goes to the megachurches with other guest christian singers she tells the audience at the end of her song not to “judge her”. Bishop Bloomer and Bobby Jones said” we are not judging you we got scripture that talks about judging one another” to that effect. These people are not reading their bible and concordance, if they have one? Judging has more than one meaning such as “discernment or discerning” the spirit. 1 Cor. 5:12-13 KJV For what have I to do to judge them also that are without (non-Christian)?do not ye judge them that are within(Christian)? 13)But them that are without(non-Christian) God judgteth. Therefore put away among yourselves that wicked person.
Moreover, the bible says we will know them(those who are walking according to the faith and those who are not walking according to the faith) by their fruit i.e. We (Christians) are fruit inspectors (Matt. 7:13-20). Also the bible already judges we are just repeating what our Heavenly Father is saying what is going to happen to those who walk contrary to his Word continuously(Matt. 7:21-23) . Patti Labelle wants to straddle the fence (serve God and Baal) she has to answer to God for her choices. It seems by her plea to her audiences to “not judge her” that others have rebuked, reproofed her behavior and /or lifestyle of serving two masters, and she continues to reject to turning her mind, body and soul totally over to Christ. The bible says “They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate” (Titus 1:16). My prayer is that these people will yield to God’s calling to turn from their contrary lifestyles and serve Him wholeheartely. The bible says it is a fearful thing to fall in the hands of the living God(Hebrews 10:31). Look what happened to Israel when they started worshipping idols, God spanked them hard. Nobody wants a spanking from God, A person would rather get a spanking from their parents than from God. My pastor would say “don’t play with God… play with something little less dangerous such as a rattlesnake. . . than to play with God”.
Anony,
Maybe you didn’t see the tbn show she hosted a few months back promoted her women of power conference. If you had of seen how the guest on that broadcast clowned in the name of Jesus, then I don’t think you would have posted your comment about Juanita Bynum taking a sincere interest in who she has on as guest.
You’re right. She stated as much and I’m sure she meant those whom she has as guests when she is hosting, have to believe (or be receptive to) the hogwash she is constantly pitching, and be willing to be fleeced by TBN’s Beg-a-Thons.
Ligth and darkness does not mix. Psalms 1 says: Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. Luke 11:33-36
33 No man, when he hath lighted a candle, putteth it in a secret place, neither under a bushel, but on a candlestick, that they which come in may see the light. 34 The light of the body is the eye: therefore when thine eye is single, thy whole body also is full of light; but when thine eye is evil, thy body also is full of darkness.35 Take heed therefore that the light which is in thee be not darkness.36 If thy whole body therefore be full of light, having no part dark, the whole shall be full of light, as when the bright shining of a candle doth give thee light.
After reading just those 2 chapters, I can conclude that the bishop, patti LaBelle, bobby jones, and all the others on that show serve the same god and not the God of the Bible. If they were serving 2 different God, someone would have said something to patti, and the other people on that show. They are not preachers but spiritual pimps; they are not prophets or prophetess, but spiritual prostitutes. God will judge bishop bloomer, and all who change the gospel to benefit themselves.
2 Cor 4:2
But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God.
Yochee
Question: what makes a song considered to be called gospel song? does it tell the good news of our Lord and Savior? I heard the song Patti LaBelle sang and it had nothing to do with the gospel of Jesus Christ. I heard Bobby Jones and many other artists that say they are singing gospel music, but it has nothing to do with Jesus Christ, him crucified , or his ressurection.
JLP, I did see that show. How do you know they were clowning around with God?
where can i get the full tape
Go to tbn.org under the archives and you maybe able to watch the whole show. Plus you have to know when the video aired.
oops posted under the wrong subtitle
