When you hear these bozos, one after another, over and over again, it makes it hard to doubt that they are anything but pimps. Take a look. Give a listen. I won’t even try to point out the obvious error in the statements they make about the relationship between money and peace.

Exactly Melvin. Really much of what she does has a tax liability to it also. There are lines that we do not see simply because of her wealthy status. But nonetheless, it is a drop in the bucket compared to the woman whom gave all she had. (Luke 21:1-4) (Mark 12:44)
But for the fact we know of it shows that your neighbor was in fact TOLD as I am sure it was aired on Television, etc for all to witness and know. Isn’t that the opposite of the premise of what Jesus taught in Matthew 6:4 ? There are things that should be kept only to the Father, otherwise we forfeit our heavenly reward.

Understand John 16:1-8 “And the lord commended the unjust steward, because he had done wisely: for the children of this world are in their generation wiser than the children of light”. My statement is about a woman that is not a believer, but is showing the believer the way to give. Not to buildings or to pimps, or to witches, or to men or woman that tell you that by giving to them your giving to God and if you don’t God wont bless you. Don’t hate the messenger Bro. Pray for her that she will come to know Christ, but praise God for using her; and think about this, what does it say about the believer when God chooses an unbeliever to bless those in need? I mean, Paul might as well have praised the demon posessed girl (Acts 16:16-18) because she announced the truth of their message.
Men and women whom denounce God publicly and with their lifestyle, and what they say about Jesus Christ should not be praised as a standard of the church and what “should” be done. I understand the ACT itself is one of apparent generosity, but the origination of it carries no true weight or value because it does not glorify God.
Much of what she does is apparently for the public eye. If it were true that she did not want any noteriety of the act, than we would not have an idea at all of her “charity”. Pretty bogus stuff. She is not the wealthiest woman in the world by being stupid.

Gridiron, sorry you missed the point and the object lesson to be learned. Try to understand the truism of giving as a rule, a fundamental principal. The fundamental principal that rules gravity is simple, what goes up must come down, this fundamental principal is truth, when applied on earth. One of the fundamental principals that apply to the salvation of mankind is that Christ died for the sins of the world, rose on the third day this truth is the fundamental principal the rules as it applies to our salvation. The fundamental truth of giving Luke 6:38 “For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you” a fundamental principal, and a truth. Again I am not talking about Oprah, she is merely an object, but when fundamental truths are applied by the world or by the saved the result will yield the same affect. Yes we do need to pray for Ms Winfrey that she will come to know Christ we know that her acts will not right her with God this is why we love her and continue to pray for her. The believer understands that the act of giving does not put us in right standing before God but reviles the spirit of Christ to the world when done in the name of Christ, and not for the glory of the individual. Because we cannot add to the work of Christ we need to know that if we obey the rules of giving our father will indeed be glorified. My example is classic, this worldly woman is wiser then the children of the light because she understands the fundamental principal the rule of giving, difficult to accept as it may be, but can he not do all things? We on the other hand continue to build buildings spending millions of dollars furnishing these inanimate temples we call Church, miss applying a simple principal (truth, rule) of giving. God has indeed used a sinner as an object lesson to the body; Question, if a sinner or a believer plants seed does it not yield a field? Do you not eat? Is not God glorified?
(MN: Actually, that verse in Luke isn’t talking about giving stuff. It’s talking about mercy and judging/condemning. As you show mercy, so will mercy be shown to you. As you judge righteously, so will you be judged righteously. Look at the context of the statement. The section in front of it is talking about mercy and judgment. The section after it is speaking of examining my own life prior to looking at others. Neither of these has anything to do with financial or material giving. There are verses in the Bible that speak of giving money and treasure, but I don’t believe this is one of them. )
Wow…you got it before I did Mr. Jones. Luke 6:38 is the MOST WIDELY mis-used scripture that I can think of with regard to giving outside of the obvious Malachi 3:10.
Start at Luke 6:20-30, identify what the subject of Jesus’ teaching is….then progress and by the time you arrive at Luke 6:38, it is completely obvious he is not talking of monetary giving. Totally off.

God’s true stars do not call account to their deeds (Matthew 6:2).
That (the issue of a secular individual giving monetarily to individuals) is no premise for the church. The REAL premise for the believer is being inconspicuous. Salt (Matthew 5:13) is inconspicous. Ever salt food? Does its job, calls not attention to itself (yet you realize that it is indeed there) and it is gone without a trace.
The believer is to be as inconspicuous as salt….we don’t need the attention. If she gives…okay…that’s what she does.
We don’t need to see what Oprah is doing, her example, how the church should feel ashamed, etc. or any other individual for that matter. God’s true stars we don’t know of….(1 Kings 19:18)
The only example is the cross of Christ.
It is amazing that we call ourselves Christians, but we are so easily enamorated by our sight. (2 Cor. 4:18)
As to your question - does a sinner’s seed result in a crop - certainly. But that really isn’t the issue here. The actions of the unsaved can certainly be an example to the saved - up to a point. Afterall, a saved couple should get along better than an unsaved couple. The saved family’s children should be better behaved than an unsaved family. But to say that there is a law of giving (seed and harvest in a spiritual sense) is not, I don’t believe, a particularly biblical concept. The saints in Jerusalem shared all in common. They ended up being poverty stricken when the state turned against them. If there were such an inviolate law, shouldn’t they have retained some measure of prosperity?
Remember, the pimps depend on us looking at giving in exactly the way you have described.
As a note - even the “law” of gravity isn’t really a law as such. It is simply a reflection of the fact that every time we observe a dropped heavier than air object, it falls down in response to gravity.
There is no law that says when we give charitably certain things have to happen.

When I saw this video I started crying. Cause it is sad that they can’t see the truth when it is in black and white (And Red) in the bible. Why can’t they see that God’s Love,Wisdom,Mercy and Sacrifice makes us rich spiritUally. It’s not a sin to be rich don’t get me wrong. But that video showed alot of idolizing. But the sadest part about it was that 2-10 thousand ppl were saying Amen to what they were preaching.

Wow!!!! It’s all that I can say.
I’m tempted to call Creflo a fool, but I’ll refrain. He need to visit Liberia, where I’m from and survived three brutal civil war and see how even thought the country poor and distroyed by war, how young men and women and old men and women are on “FIRE!!!!!!”, for GOd. He needs to see how these people live in zinc shacks, with dirt floor, no running water or electricity, how it rain in their houses when it’s raining, and they have to burn coal pots to keep warm during the rainy season. But these same people are preachers, prophets, evangelist, pastors, etc..
He needs to see how ministers and church members gladly walk 18 miles one way to their church just to worship with other believers and serve God. He needs to see me when i was 10 years old eating “eba, and egusi soup (a nigerian dish) every day, and i was happy and content to be alive even though my family had no money. But we had each other and God. He needs to see people who share the little that they have (my mother); 4 cups of rice with those who didn’t have contently, and was so happy just for being a blessing to other. He should see how Liberians are still trying to recover from the 14 plus years of civil war, and even though the economy is dirt poor right now and, would be better off “finacially stacked”, how they’re so content with life especially God, knowing that they could have died in anyone of those many civil wars Liberia has experienced.

God Bless You Constance for that comment! Sometimes people truly need to realize just how blessed we are here in the United States. I was just sitting here thinking I need money for this bill and that bill and where I’m going to get it from. I was just thinking to myself I’m so tired of not having money, but I failed to realize just how blessed I am. I’m alive and healthy, I have a wonderful family and job, I have food to eat and clothing and a roof over my head that doesn’t leak. I have heat and air conditioning, need I go on. I’m so glad God opened my eyes to the truth. I’m so sad that so many people are being mislead by these WOF preachers. I’m just glad I truly know God and have a relationship with him and I study the word for myself and now I understand why the road to get to heaven is so narrow! I remember reading an article in the Charisma magazine about a Pastor in Africa and He says that in the United States they have what you call the Superstar Syndrome they’re so busy thinking about money that their not seeing any Supernatural move of God at all and they’re not helping people in their own congregation right under their nose, but over in Africa the Pastor has seen a little boys club foot corrected right before his eyes and several members of his congregation have been pronounced dead but was ressurected, but yet he and his wife live modest and drive a caravan and yet he has over 15,000 members. He says he wanted to be more powerful in God then in material things. Now that’s a man thats truly helping God’s people and that’s what it’s all about helping God’s people and seeking and saving the lost. Again God Bless You and thanks for that comment!

I have travelled abroad and have seen how other countries live but not Liberia. American must realize how blessed they are in the country. Anybody care to measure Abraham’s wealth of his day as compared to today. What about Solomon? Well Solomon does not counts as God already said there will NEVER be one as rich as him EVER.
So if all these preachers talk about Abrahmam and even compare us to their wealth, Why is it that no Televangelist or preacher can measure their wealth but will preach that we are blessed with faithful Abraham and how if God blessed him in wealth, he will bless us the same. Al. You are on point here. I agree with you 100%. Most of the tv preachers cannot even touch the wealth of a Ted Turner or Bill Gates. And they try to impress the world with their puny riches that they tricked some gullible people out of.
This is a real shame! I struggled through watching a program with Pastor Don Stewart (anyone ever heard of this scheister?) hawking his “green prosperity hankerchief” I believe he mentioned Jesus once or twice, and when he said he was called to “help people’s dreams come true” i had to turn it off….Just like the preachers in this clip the focus is on money and worldly gain.

Good Morning Melvin! Didn’t know where to post this, but on yesterday’s early-evening news, they announced that T. Dexter will NOT be hosting a megamess in ATL in 2007. They noted that attendance has dropped from over 500,000 fans at the initial solemn assembly to a little over half that last year. (Wonder why?) TD supposedly said (in a silent clip, photo only) he had to take time to “evaluate the effectiveness of such an event” (paraphrased) before one is scheduled for 2008, as well as in which city it will be held.
Of course, there’s always the chance that Jesus will return for sure before then….

If anything Creflo’s message exemplifies how the church, in the West, is profoundly shaped by the ill effects of Global Capitalism as expressed through crass materialism. The thing that is interesting is that Creflo sounds more like a Darwinist the more I listen to him.

(MN: Just one problem with that approach - Christianity was established under the Roman Empire. As bad as we are, it’s crass materialism made us look like a bunch of nuns in a convent. The fact is, we are told to be in the world but not of it. The true followers will teach exactly that and do exactly that. The Church (the Church invisisble, the Mystical Body of Christ, those born of faith) is shaped by Jesus Christ and His will in our lives. The “Players of Church” are shaped by their own wills, their own greed, and their own ideas of who God is and what he wants in their lives (Rom 16:17, 18 and others). Don’t try to blame this mess on capitalism, global or otherwise. Keep it where it belongs - on the people who call themselves Christians while refusing to establish a relationship with the God of the Bible. Creflo and his arm candy are no more a Christian couple than Nero was a Christian pastor.
In fact, it would seem that the greed and the desire to satisfy that greed has simply gone from the church leaders in catholicism (some popes had more power than the emperors around them) to the low level leaders and their sheep. )
This is probably why we (the religion of CHRISTIANITY) are so disrespected, especially by Muslims. Because, it appears that alot of Muslim Ministers appear to know more truth of the Bible than most Christian leaders and followers. Plus, they look at the professing body and say to themselves that we have no discipline, no knowledge, and no sincere conviction towards God. I know this because i’ve held dialog with quite a few Muslims and they all basically say the same thing. And all i can tell them in defense, is that we all aren’t like that. But how can you blame them for such blatant observation? There is definately something wrong here.

yeah most definately, i usually bring that point up to them. Excuse me for not making that known. but yeah, thats true.. and when i do present that side of the argument, they insist that they (shiite and sunni Muslims) the don’t represent orthodox Islam. So that argument sort of evens its self out, so to say. But the thing that bothers me, again, is that a clown like Farrakhan, can go into a church, open up a bible preach a message with more substance (even though its still tainted) than half of these so called modern day Bishops and Pastors. Yet it does baffle me, that if the bible has been so tampered with why is it that Muslims go to the same book and preach from it, seems hypocritical to me.

Well Gary V, BTW (I like TOG, it has a cool ring to it). Anyway, i agree our people are too caught into entertainment. Actually, you find most church people able to sing all of the church hyms by heart. Yet, they are sometimes ignorant of entire books of the Bible. Some people have told me to my face that, “to discuss theology is a waste of time, as long as you believe in Jesus, then you are fine.” They fail to to realize that, you are what you believe. If you believe that everybody will go to heaven, and hell is only for the fallen angels and the devil, then that belief will have an effect on how you view God and your walk in life.
Sadly (and i was like this myself), most people only know and believe what they’ve grown up hearing from their pastor. But, when ever you question their (the followers) teachings, they get offended because you are questioning the very foundation of thier existance. To question the pastor is almost like questioning God himself. Why, because they have: 1. been spoiled with false teachings 2. was never taught to “test the spirits”, like the scriptures command 3. raised in an environment to look upon the Pastor or Bishop as a higher entity apart from the rest of the congregation, i.e. the term (anointed man of God).

I know of a man who is reverenced so much (I will not say his name because he is EXTREMELY popular) that he can not be touched, nor can you even say anything about this man (everyone speaks of his “kindness” so much) and question what he has just taught and he preaches the same heresy. If one does speak, expect a severe backlash. I will just say that he was on TBN in ‘04 and had P-Diddy on the big screen via sattelite. I said “wow”…..and no one was trippin’ at all….all the while they announced some sort of collaboration with him on a project before an absolute packed house (as Diddy introduces himself as “Yo this is P-Diddy”, child of God……)

N-e-way, we should always be wary of taking snapshots of sermons and using them to prove our point (as the pimps often do with scripture). I know the deal with Copeland and Dollar, but still we shouldn’t just take a piece of any sermon—we should watch the whole thing then make a judgement.

Just did some investigation, and my suspicion is confirmed. This video comes from the cesspool known as Westboro Baptist Church and its lunatic pastor Fred “God Hates Fags” Phelps.

Recently the 2nd richest man (Warren Buffett) in the world gave most of his money to five foundations and to the 1st richest man in the world (Bill Gates). He gave $30 billion to five foundations including the gates foundation. The Gates foundation have given hundreds of millions on world health — fighting such diseases as malaria, HIV/AIDS, and tuberculosis.
COMMENTS: This made me realise that the blessings of a child of GOD are not even most of the time not physical wealth which is contrary to what is being taught in the church today. If truly the “THE WEALTH OF THE WICKED IS LAID UP FOR THE RIGHTEUOS” shouldnt this be the most biggest proof for GOD to prove this scripture by Him GOD speaking to the heart of warren Buffet and have him give it to a church/ministry/anointed preacher. No! my friends GOD is JUST and PERFECT He makes these rich men wether they believe in Him or not make sure they give what He GOD has given them back to the poor. widows, orphans, the helpless etc not to the church/ministry/anointed preacher. NOW I KNOW WHAT THIS VERSE REALLY MEANS, “THE WEALTH OF THE WICKED IS LAID UP FOR THE RIGHTEUOS”. None is righteous but the LORD Jesus Christ so the wealth is laid up for the Son of GOD who has no need for it because He gave it to these men in the first place and has the LORD said to the rich young ruler “go sell all you have and give it all to the poor (not to a so called anointed ministers church, or to any church/ministry in fact) and come follow me”. Christ never said to this ruler “oh give it to my disciples(ministry) then we will use to feed the poor and to aid with my sermons when I go on the mount etc.
Christ never said these things.
Please I am not saying you shouldnt give to churches/ministries but make sure youre a good steward of GOD’s resources to you and make sure you give to a ministry/church/charity that are very transparent on all they are doing with the ministries financies and are answerable to a charity board.
I believe GOD sees how the church (especially the word faith preachers and minitries. I wont mention names) have abused the people of GOD the church by leading them into coveteousness.
THIS SAINTS IS EXACTLY WHAT JESUS CHRIST DID TO WARREN BUFFET and is doing to Bill Gates. GOD is making them give back all that wealth back to the poor. CHRIST JESUS our Master controls the hearts, events, outcomes of all that happens in heaven and on earth and the universe.
A follower of Christ’s wealth or Christians wealth is all contained in the GOD-man our Master Jesus Christ. Our wealth is holiness and righteousness and everlasting life which only Jesus Christ the Son of GOD can give.
They both have said that most of their wealth will be going to good causes. Wether these men go to hell or heaven Christ knows how to look after that orphan in the otherside of the world, that widow that lost all are family through genocide, that foreigner that has been displaced from his home and has been made a wanderer, those souls who are dying of sickness and diseases that can be easily treated here in America, that new born child that lost his/her mother through aids/hiv just minutes after it was born, the new born baby was made a orphan mintues when it entered this sinful world.
Our Father in heaven we thank you for giving up your Son Jesus Christ to die for our sins. Father we thank you for looking after the helpless and poor in this world. Father we thank you in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ that though we go through pains an peril in this world below which you warned us about in your word. I am of WoF and though they teach about prosperity at my church, they first and formost teach on living free from sin. Repenting with Godly sorrow repentance 2 Corinthians 7:8-11. That we are the righteousness of God.
Now God is a God of prosperity we find it through out the bible. If however you are seeking after the things and not for the Kingdom of Gods sake, then that is wrong. It is Called loving something more then God. Of course all sin is selfish in nature.
Are we saying that God does not want us to prosper? If God does want us to prosper, then does that mean that we cannot or should not prosper within money as well as health, in the spirit and various other ways.
Is it wrong for someone to have money? More over is it wrong for a person to share with others about how to reach prosperity within God? IE teaching how to be in good health and how God can help in those areas. How about the spirit and your relationship with God personally.
As for the wealth of the wicked
Proverbs 13:22
Ver. 22. A good [man] leaveth an inheritance to his children’s children,…. He not only has a sufficiency for the present support of himself and family; but is so prospered and succeeded, as to leave an inheritance after him; and which is continued to and enjoyed, not only by his immediate offspring, but theirs also; for being got honestly, it wears well; see Pr 13:11;
and the wealth of the sinner [is] laid up for the just; the riches which wicked men get are laid up in the purposes of God for good men; and in his providence they are translated from the one to the other: so the riches of the Egyptians were designed for the Israelites, and by the providence of God were put into their hands; see Job 27:16.
Now this added on to the fact the God is no respect of person. Acts 8:34 inwhich means what is good for one man is as good for another. It does not matter whom you are on the outside nor what status you hold, but rather your hearts intent towards God.
The just within God not to mention the righteous. We are also the righteous don’t just stop in Romans 3:10 and not read the into; Romans 3:19-31, Romans 4:1-8, 1 Corinthians 15:20-34. To name a few. Just look up the word righteous throughout the New Testiment alone. You will find countless remaks even by Jesus speaking about the righteous. Matt 9:13 But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance. If there are no righteous people why would he say he does not come for them? This is only one small example.
