What’s one of the first things the pimped say when they read the postings on this site? They say we should show more love. They say we should be kind and gentle.

But let me ask you this. You fathers out there, the ones with teenage daughters. If your daughter came up missing, you would worry. Right?

Let’s say your daughter came up missing and a couple of weeks later, as you’re driving through town on some errand, you see your precious child, dressed like a hooker (a young hooker, but a hooker none the less), hanging off the arm of Snoop Doggy Dogg.

For those of you who insist that we show “love,” how many of you are going to walk up to your daughter and have a conversation like this?

“Katy! I’m so glad to see you! We had no idea where you were! Uh…who is the fine young man with you? I don’t believe I’ve met him. But he looks just like Snoop Dogg!” You look at the man next to your daughter.

Your daughter smiles at you and says “Oh, hi daddy. This is Mr. Snoop Doggy Dogg. He’s my handler, helping me to prosper and not get hurt out here on the street. And it’s so exciting being here. You can’t believe how much money I’ve been able to earn in just a couple of weeks! If he lets me keep enough of it, I might be able to get a nice apartment of my own.”

You start feeling a little uncomfortable, finally understanding what it all means. But you don’t want to be too quick to judge so you keep talking, being as nice and polite as you can. After all, you have to show love.

“What is it you do?” you finally ask her.

When she tells you, your knees almost buckle and you get sick to your stomach. But you don’t say anything to her because obviously he’s taking care of her. He dresses well, has on some really nice Bling, and your daughter points out that the silver Mercedes parked at the curb belongs to him. She goes on to tell you that he lives in a palatial house which she gets to visit every once in a while, usually when she brings him the money from the tricks she turned the night before.

You then turn to your daughter’s handler.

“It’s so nice of you to help my daughter this way,” you say. “She hasn’t finished high school and you are giving her quite the education. While I wouldn’t have chosen the route you did, especially since she is MY daughter, I don’t want to be judgmental and tell you that you shouldn’t have dragged my daughter into the gutter like this. After all, it’s obvious from the Mercedes and the crowd of women standing around you that you are very successful. So I will leave you alone and I certainly won’t say anything unfavorable about you to my daughter. After all, we live in a capitalist society and you are obviously succeeding at within the system. This life probably isn’t God’s best for my daughter, but Jesus tells us we are supposed to love everybody. So I hope God continues to bless you as He so obviously has so far.”

You wave goodbye to the rest of the women gathered around him.

You then give your daughter a kiss on the cheek, shake Snoop’s hand, get back in your car and drive away, comforted by the fact that your daughter is in the hands of a financial success. And proud of the fact that you weren’t judgmental, just like Jesus.

Now , back to reality. If you wouldn’t do that with your daughter, why is it that some of you lumps of oatmeal out there expect me and others to do that with the spiritual pimps and pimpettes I discuss. The only, I repeat, the only difference between Snoop Dogg and T. Dexter is one is physical prostitution and the other is spiritual.

According to Scripture, both do violence to their victims. Both are equally reprehensible in the sight of God.

Those of you out there who insist we show supposed love by standing by silently as the wolves (pimps, lazy beasts, liars, etc, etc.) devour the flock, those of you who insist that we simply mouth platitudes and move on, are dangerously close to falling into exactly the same pit as these supposed men of con.

Again I ask , would you stand silently by if you knew for certain a child was being abused? Would you just stand by if a house was on fire and you knew there were people in the house? Why do you have such a different standard for something as important , no, something as critical as Christian doctrine and living?

I’ll again ask those of you who say I am supposed to “keep my mouth off of the anointed men and women of God” to address the issue with something other than some mindless mantras taught to you by the very men and women pimping you.

Preach the truth Brother for the scriptures says:

2 Peter 2:1-3:

But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in DAMNABLE HERESIES, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.

And MANY shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.

Rom 16:17-18:

Now I beseech you, brethren, MARK THEM which cause divisions and offenses contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; AND AVOID THEM.

For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, BUT THEIR OWN BELLY; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.

EXCELLENT is the word here, as was Melvin’s article on “Women as Elders,” biblically refuting the lie perpetrated by club newbirth’s head–who appointed the spouse to “elderhood,” another office in the TRUE church reserved strictly for the male.

Why is New Birth called “Club New Birth”?

My reason for calling it “Club New Birth” is becuase it appears to be more a place to belong and have interesting social events than a place to be supported as you mature as a Christian. The “Hotlanta Singles” event and other mixers were examples of this.

TO BRO. WILLIAM TAYLOR: My daughter and I had the privilege of searching the Scriptures as the Bereans did as we read your pure and unadulterated teaching on “Biblical Truth on Tithing.” We were shocked to see how much of this subject had received only our cursory attention in the past, especially as we sat under “men and women of god.” I was angered at having heard with my own ears, the self-proclaimed “ceo” of Lithonia’s largest country club state arrogantly, “The tithes belong to the priests anyway,” as they passed the collection plates.

I had completely failed to see that Abram’s offering was just that–an offering–not a required tithe, but from the spoils of war. THIS, TOO, WAS NEVER PREACHED. But Abram’s gift of the remaining spoils (90%) has been FERVENTLY preached by charlatans and other manipulators of the true Gospel. These lovers of money failed to preach 2 Corinthians 8:12-15. Neither had they taught the truth of the matter that people of the Old Testament were primarily an agrarian society as well as a society of herdsmen and shepherds.

I had forgotten the crucial verses of Deuteronomy 14:23-29 that God, in His infinite wisdom and unfathomable love for man, had made a way for man way back then–money WAS available. However, money was NOT primary in carrying out one’s tithe as the organized religious companies’ “ceos” have made it. Reverence and fear of God is absent from the calculating, Gospel-twisting, money-hungry liars, thieves, and prideful peacocks and pea hens standing on their shoeboxes behind pulpits. (No, I did not mean “soapboxes.”) Neither do these great pretenders share their ill-gotten gain with their “sons” in the ministry as God’s priests shared with their co-laborers. This is recorded in the books of the major prophets (more on this later).

It is the so-called “Chief priests and priestesses” who are still robbing God. They fail to preach (when passing their collection plates) that all born-again believers in the Lord Jesus Christ are now a kingdom of priests unto God: 1 Peter 2:9. I have yet to hear of or witness SIGNIFICANT AND CONSISTENT SUSTAINING of the naked, hungry, homeless, cold, and fatherless by ceo-led mega organized religious, tax-exempt entities calling themselves a “church.” But the fruit of their labor is evidenced by their Rolls Royces, “bling-bling,” size of their parsonages and entourages, number of overseas vacations, custom-made clothes, and the list goes on and on…

Your thorough, saturated deliverance of the Truth of the Gospel (especially the mention of 613 Laws) is an eye opener and has served to whet the appetites of all who seek the Truth. This study should be in the library of every born-again believer. The Body of Christ also needs a “Biblical Truth on Pledging and Making Vows.” JESUS, the Word Incarnate, was direct and to the point here as well. THANK YOU myriads of times! His love, and mine, Beryle

To Beryle the pearl and truthofgod,

God receives ALL the glory for the revelation knowledge of His Word that He freely gives by HIS SPIRIT to those who are His who diligently seek Him. We who were once blind God granted unto us repentance, tender mercies and grace that we may mature in the faith STUDYING to show ourselves approved unto Him, a workman that needeth NOT TO BE ASHAMED, rightly dividing the word of truth.

The Scriptures says in 1 John 2:26-27-These things have I written unto you concerning them that SEDUCE YOU. (False teachers, prophets, and Gospel pimps).

But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

We as the TRUE believers in Christ Jesus are commanded to preach the Word and expose wickedness such as Brother Melvin is doing with this website.

2 Timothy 4:2 Amplified Bible declares:

Herald and preach the Word! Keep your sense of urgency (stand by, be at hand and ready, whether the opportunity seems to be favorable or unfavorable, whether it is convenient or inconvenient, whether it be welcome or unwelcome, you as a preacher of the Word are to show people in what way their lives are wrong) and convince them, rebuking and correcting, warning and urging and encouraging them, being unflagging and inexhaustible in patience and teaching.

The hour is late WE have to work diligently many are perishing to a God forsaking Hellfire.

Since the followers of these pimps, pimpettes, liars, thieves, whoremongers, deceivers, and temple prostitutes continue to reject the Word of God, and continue to defend those who preach traditions of men as true doctrine, they have already judged themselves UNWORTHY OF ETERNAL LIFE.

So let those who have ears to hear, hear what the Spirit is saying through you. They are kin to the rich man IN HADES who cried out, “send [Lazarus] to my father’s house to warn my five brothers…[it was already too late for him]” Luke 16: 22-31.They will wish to God that they had listened to your warning instead of weeping and gnashing their teeth at their final act of pride, rebellion, and stupidity! You should know however, that Kenny Ulmer admitted at a Tony Evans Conference about five years ago that he had “intentionally” taught heresy in order to gain a crowd. But he says that he has since repented; I’m not sure if he really has, but everything seems to point to more of the same.

- believes we must be baptized in Jesus name and speak in tongues to be saved
- denies eternal sonship of Christ
- uses pschyco babble in his ministry
- preaches prosperity false gospel
- hides oneness views to rake in trinatarian cash

Ken Ulmer heresy:
- affiliated with many of the prosperity heretics
- does not discern good teaching from bad
- into the charasmatic movement

These are just a few.

Wow, debauched is a strong word to use. In what sense of the meaning are you referring to? 1. To corrupt morally. To lead away from excellence or virtue, 2. To reduce the value or quality of 3 . To cause to forsake allegiance

1 a archaic : to make disloyal b : to seduce from chastity
2 a : to lead away from virtue or excellence b : to corrupt by intemperance or sensuality

Being convinced to follow after a lie (God wants you rich, we are to take back the Nation, etc.) is being led away from excellence and virtue, into a lie. We are being asked to forsake our allegiance to Christ for an allegiance to the world (however cleverly the world is disguised). And the pimps certainly reduce the value (in their own eyes, anyway) the value of the true gospel by promoting a series of false ones.

I too will go with debauched - though I do know it’s John Coleman’s favorite way of describing these pimping clowns.

Melvin, I listened to your interview with G Craig Lewis and I must say it was a very good listen. Keep up the good work my brother and I would like to think that we all are behind you as the “appease us Jesus” and the “please us Jesus” crowds will continue to come in with an attempt to discredit you. From the looks of things, you have a strong group os believers who can hold their own. I look forward to learning a lot from these guys. I have an “each one reach one” mentality and this site is very helpful with information and I believe that if we all reach one and that one reaches one, we could have a better effect on people than all of the pimps and pimpettes rolled in one. And I am not trying to say that WE are the ones that are saving, as we know God will give the increase, but we, though the power of the Holy Spirit can be instrumental is awaking some, planting and watering some as God will give the increase.

I almost got mad with the way they did the Minister, but I remembered: this is a worldly program. Anyone find that ironic other than me? TBN would never show Minister Lewis because he’s too real for them. But E! (a vulgar channel) decided to show him, if only to make fun of him. But they didn’t deny the truth of his statements.

Aside from her being a bishop where has Vashti Mckenzie erred in doctrine? I ask because I am not aware of what she teaches. I know she is a part of the AME church which I know has some preachers (just like us baptists)that have gone astray but I thought she was an AME traditionalist in doctrine.

2006-09-27 21:01:31

Bishop Vashti Mckenzie supports sexual immorality among black women. She wrote a recent book review for, Oh God!, by Susan Newman. (MN: To be fair [and to overlook the fact that both of these pastors/bishops are women] the reveiw doesn’t actually SAY that sex outside of marriage is okay (Click here for the original Book Review). It just says she discusses sex outside of marriage. Her conclusion could be that there should be no sex outside of marriage. Has anyone read the book? Maybe I’ll take a look at it at Borders today and report back to you.)

“ABOUT THIS BOOK

Far too many African American women struggle with a deep division between the two fundamental pillars of their identity, spirituality and sexuality. The church tells them that to live “holy and sanctified” lives they must give up sexual activity outside the institution of marriage, and yet their bodies and souls cry out for a way to express and fulfill their natural passions. In this groundbreaking book, the Reverend Dr. Susan Newman, a nationally recognized minister and speaker, finally shows all women of faith how to find a healthy balance between their spiritual selves and their sexual needs.
Dr. Newman opens with a simple but startling premise: You can love God and love sex at the same time. Though it may sound irreverent, this premise is actually the basis for an essential journey to self-knowledge and reconciliation. As Dr. Newman shows, this journey has been denied to women for centuries because of church traditions and doctrines going back to the Old Testament and to the teachings of Saint Paul. For African American women, the spiritual-sexual divide was compounded by slavery.

But women of faith do not have to live divided lives. Writing with passion, candor, and welcome humor, Dr. Newman opens new paths to healing and reconciliation. Here are frank, direct discussions about sex both inside and outside marriage; about being honest about your spiritual and erotic needs; about making personal choices; and about acknowledging the holiness of your body.

The goal, as Dr. Newman explains, is not to suppress or channel your sexuality, but to embrace sex as a wonderful gift from God. As a woman of faith, and as a woman, you deserve a healthy, satisfying life, a life open to passion and truly free of guilt and shame. The first book of its kind, Oh God! is a landmark achievement that will be welcomed by black women who want to live in wholeness of spirit and body.

“Susan Newman is frank and biblical,’ says Bishop Vashti Murphy McKenzie, (Delta Sigma Theta) Presiding Prelate, 18th Episcopal District of the African Methodist Episcopal Church in Botswana, Mozambique and Swaziland. “She is honest and spiritual. She has a firm grasp of what women are privately thinking and is bold enough to bring the discussion to a public forum.”

QUOTES

“It is about time! Finally the discussion of human sexuality in the church is out of the proverbial closet! Susan Newman brings a much-needed discussion of sex and single women of African descent to the table. She is frank and Biblical. She is honest and spiritual. She has a firm grasp of what women are privately thinking and is bold enough to bring the discussion to a public forum. It is a great read for African American women, single and married, and perfect for women’s groups.”

With OH GOD! Dr. Newman shows that women of faith do not have to live divided lives. She offers frank discussions about sex both in and out of marriage; about being honest about your spiritual and erotic needs; about making personal choices; and about acknowledging the holiness of your body. I can’t really put to much judgment on the book since I didn’t get past the introduction but it didn’t appear to be good reading material for the edification of the saints.

I say we can continue reading our bibles to get God’s conclusion about sex.

Hi Melvin ,

I read your article about Joel Osteen and I understand, sympathize, and empathize with your indignation. I honestly believe that these men and women that are handling the word of God deceitfully ought to be exposed for their error. I also agree that those that say we ought to do it in “love” confuse “love” with passivity and fake piety that is inconsistent with Scripture. Jesus himself rebuked religious leaders as you and others have stated. But how did Jesus rebuke them? He called them wolves, vipers, whiten sepulchers. These are figures of speech, personifications that aptly attribute the characteristic of the figure to the person.

What I do not agree with is the use of parody in the exposure of these wolves. This is not consistent with Scripture. I watched with interest the youtube clip of Marjoe who made a mockery of Christianity. He mimicked the mannerisms of the charismatics of his day and capitalized on the emotionalism in order to deceive and profit. It was despicable.

But true correction is no laughing matter and the Bible warns us about the seriousness of rebuke, especially of those in leadership. As despicable as Marjoe’s antics were, it is no less despicable when Christians mock other Christians through parody and call it correction. It is entertaining and appeals to the flesh to watch the mannerisms and movements of televangelist mimicked as illustrations in sermons. But, I believe the mockery draws attention away from the true point of exposure: defining the error clearly, revealing the truth correctly, and calling for repentant humbly.

We are offended by entertainment evangelism that puts on an emotional show for the purpose of financial gain. We should also be offended by “comedy correction” that entertains primarily the self-righteous and points the finger at the error, but does little to bring to light the truth in order to bring men to repentance. Now do not get me wrong because I love to laugh as much as anyone. But in order for people to be broken by their sins they have see their conduct in light of God’s word. Comedy correction amuses us, but does little for those that are the object.

In your illustration you made it personal and said how you would feel if it were your daughter. That is serious to you. When I’m serious about something I don’t have time to clown a person. I lay it down for them in no uncertain terms and I let them know exactly what I feel to the point that they feel me and there’s no misunderstanding. That’s serious. But clowning them and making fun of their activities does nothing to resolve the problem and it puts the other person on the defense so that they cannot, for pride’s sake, concede that their actions are wrong.

I think it would be just as effective to point out the error of Joel Osteen’s teaching without calling him “Willow Boy.” To point out Jamal Bryant’s profiteering without making him look like Ronald McDonald, and other eye catching parodies that as I said before are amusing, like Madea, but does dilutes the true intent of exposing these men. Of course your blog wouldn’t be as entertaining to read…..

In a couple of places the Bible seems to indicate that if a supposed teacher is teaching bad doctrine, they don’t have the spirit of Christ. In other words, they are not saved. I suspect (though I can’t say for certain) that most of these pimps are not even saved. The error they teach is just too far outside the pale of orthodoxy (2 John 9). Changing the very nature of salvation (suffering in hell not on the cross, Jesus is the first born again man, associating with clods who teach this and you know they teach it) makes me willing to doubt that these men are Christians. As such, your argument about parody against the body is invalid.

Oh, I am am serious about all of them and the number they work on the saints. THe humor does not dilute that.

But again, you are certainly entitled to your opinion.

2006-10-01 00:18:58

I cannot support the dismissal of someone’s entire ministry based on blurbs and clips from the internet. I read somewhere on your blog you actually visited Jamal Bryant’s church and shared your experience there with your readers. Having never been to most of the the ministries you discuss except for the Potter’s House, I cannot make that kind of judgment as to whether to throw out the baby with the bathwater. I enjoy G. Craige’s Lewis’ presentations concerning Hip Hop, I enjoy reading this blog, but I do not agree with every position you support and in some instances I just think you’re completely wrong. But I glean what I can and I don’t make assumptions about your salvation based on the things I feel are wrong. I do not agree with “Comedy Correction,” but I can certainly understand why you are doing what you’re doing.

I cannot say who is “saved” and who is not “saved.” I can discern false doctrine because I can line that doctrine against the word of God and measure it. But a man’s soul? I don’t have that kind of insight. I believe that is a judgment reserved for God. Some of us are going to rule and reign with Christ, and some are going to make it in by the skin their teeth, having all their works tried by fire and burned up, but retain the salvation of their soul. But Jesus Christ will determine that.

But the flipside of your argument is that if they are sinners it is okay to make fun of them.

I think (hope) you’re attacking the hypocrisy of men who ought to know better, and the motivation behind the exposure is to (1) make those who do not know aware of their deceitful ways and (2) and cause those individuals who are the subject of your ridicule to see themselves in light of the truth and make a decision to repent and truly turn towards God or stop naming the name of Christ in association with their activities.

(MN:
Let me try again. It is not my purpose to try and turn the pimps from their ways. They do know better. My purpose is to warn the unwary believer away from them. Paul doesn’t say “mark such men and try to convince them to return to orthodoxy.” He says “Mark such men and stay as far away from them as you can.” The site is not about reconciliation any more than a pedophile registration program is about reconciling pedophiles with children. It’s a warning, pure and simple.

And while you can’t say who is saved and who isn’t, you can reflect what the Bible says, starting with 2 John 9 (the deceivers don’t have God)

The most of the subjects of this site don’t even know I’m here. And even if they did, they wouldn’t pay any attention to it. It’s not about them. It’s about the pimped who are willing to walk away.

And the dismissal of their “ministries” isn’t based on blurbs from the internet. It’s based on their words from their sites, their words in interviews, their words and practices on television. How may times does a pimp have to say that Jesus was not God, He became God before you are willing see it as more than a “blurb”? If you look through the site, you will see that with very few exceptions, I don’t use current news stories. They are too unreliable. )

hi dawn, i wholeheartedly agree w/ you on this post- they are my sentiments exactly except for one small area where i see things differently. the points you made are all valid and well stated. the only area that i would disagree w/ you in is when you said the bible warns us about the seriousness of rebuke, especially of those in leadership. where do you find this warning? i dont recall reading anything about not rebuking ‘leadership’- but i may be overlooking it. if you have the time, please tell me the scriptures you are referring to. nevertheless, i support your post. thank you melvin for being big enough to print views and opinions that don’t always reflect your own. blessings&peace.

my reply to dawn was in response to her post dated 9-30-06. but i also agree w/ melvin that it is not our responsibility to get false teachers to turn from their pernicious ways for they are fully aware of what they do and will not heed truth.

I understand. It is so easy to be depressed when you conisder the utter magnitude of the pimpery in the pulpit. You want to give them the benefit of the doubt, but then they go and do something like that.

Hi Dawn…………I see your point about “clowning” these “ministers”. I do not agree with it, but I understand.

As Melvin has often said, the point of the “comedy” is to rip the veneer of respectability and Godliness off of them. If you peruse the responses of the “pimped” who comment here in defense of the indefensible, you will see that the errors and heresies of these wolves are not addressed. There is only the incessant bleating of the duped to “Touch not My anointed” etc, etc, ad nauseum.

Well, the humor serves to invalidate the erroneous assumption of their “anointing”. Illustrate absurdity with absurdity, I always say.

PS……….I wouldn’t have interjected myself into this but if you read the byline of the original “Willow Boy” article, it’s mine with Melvin’s oversight and editing.

In fact, the “Willow Boy” tag is Mel’s concoction……..I only wish I had thought of it first :-)).

PS……..I hope you will accept my apologies for my initial antagonistic reply to your first post.

(MN: To GaryV )
I am beginning to understand the different perspectives. I live in a bit of a bubble because I am constantly surrounded by likeminded people, but being here has really given me an opportunity to read other people’s perspectives about what is going on in Christiandom. I have shared several of the articles and some information I have discovered on this site with friends. The site has been thought provoking.

Of course I accept your apology. You cannot begin to know how much I actually appreciate people who will stand for something without saying “I feel,” “I think,” etc…, but back their position of up with Scripture. You were right to check me if you thought I was coming here to be counterproductive. But really, I enjoy the challenge and have the utmost respect for men of God who represent Christ with integrity.

Hello Dawn………..thank you for your gracious reply. The fact that you so readily accepted my apology says a great deal about you…….all of it good.

The fact that I was so reactionary says a great deal about me as well……….none of it good ;-))

I think I’m getting too accustomed to responding to attacks here. I’ve become positively Pavlovian in my responses.

I have to go now………my wife just rang the dinner bell, and I’m drooling all over my keyboard :-))

That’s all I ever ask - understanding. But rest assured, agreement will come once you’ve read the contents long enough. My goal is that everyone agree with me one hundred percent of the time. But I am prepared to accept 95 percent agreement from at least 99 percent of the population. ; - )

(MN: I’m putting this up because Haggard haspublicly admitted to receiving Meth from a homosexual escort. But like Mr. Clinton, he says he didn’t inhale. Go figure.

The interesting thing is that Haggard wasn’t even on my radar screen until just now. )

I totally agree. He was in so much of the public eye as an “advisor” to politicians, and the president (Bush).

Never have I agreed with the agenda of politics and the church mixing as these men allow to occur through their congregants, allowing corrupt/greedy men sell themselves to the people.

When I listen very carefully to what these wolves in sheeps clothing say(Forgive me for quoting a secular song)I think about James Browns song “Talking loud and saying NOTHING” Nothing of substance, they are not saying anything that leads you to Jesus and accept him as your Lord and Savior!! Keep up the good work Melvin, the devil is a liar and will always be a liar!!

(MN: Let me try again.

I misunderstood your intent and made an assumption. I apologize. I wasn’t suggesting that your investigation of those who are in error was superficial. When I said “I” couldn’t make that determination I really was speaking personally. Thanks for the clarification.

I hate to beat a dead horse but, when so-called “men of God” proclaim prophesies like:

“Expect an acceleration of favor this summer. Expect it. Expect it. And once you get into this acceleration, there will be a momentum like a snowball that’s rolling down the hill. And you’ll begin to collect more favor and more goodness and more favor and more goodness. You’ll move into 2007. And for those of us who will start the momentum now, 2007 is going to be like heaven. We’re going to see the glory of the Lord!”….then how can that be justifiable? This is beyond simple error in doctrine, this is blatant heresy. Here is his website for your perusal.
http://interactive.creflodollarministries.org/bible/prophecies.asp?site=CDM

(MN: All beating of dead horses is welcomed. You can’t point out the idiocy of these people enough. I want to put this stuff before the sheep and keep it before the sheep. You have to understand that the complaint is not about a misstatement or to. Rather it is about a systematic, and I think intentional, twisting of scripture to take advantage of people who should know better. )

DEAR tj: QUESTIONS:
1. Was Jesus a problem because He (from Whom the whole family in heaven and on earth derives its name Christian) called the scribes and the Pharisees the following names: Rabbis, hypocrites, blind guides, fools and blind men, whitewashed tombs….full of dead men’s bones and ALL uncleanness, who outwardly appear righteous to men but inwardly are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness, sons of those who murdered the prophets, serpents, brood of vipers, sons of hell? Matthew 23:1-37 Was Jesus a problem?

2. Was Jesus tearing these men down? Was He being “ugly”? And He was certainly the beginning of Christianity. Was Jesus tearing these men down and “being ugly”?

3. These hypocrites were not only overtaken in a fault and preaching a compromised gospel (little “g”), Jesus warned the multitudes AND His disciples (1) to not call Rabbi (teacher); (2) do NOT call anyone on earth your father–a popular religious and erroneous bit of trite within the mega institutions of their little ceos; (3) the greatest among the followers of Christ should be servants, NOT sashay around town, country, and the world with an entourage.

4. Deuteronomy 8:18 is an “afterthought” (if indeed these liars and hypocritical preachers of another gospel mention this verse at all). These lovers of ill-gotten gain, hired hands, devourer of widows’ houses, respecters of persons. INSTEAD, Jesus makes a profound connection sadly missed by defenders of these deceivers:

“Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you clean the outside of the cup and of the dish, but inside they are FULL OF ROBBERY AND SELF-INDULGENCE.” Matthew 23:25. These vessels of dishonor are “FULL OF ROBBERY AND SELF-INDULGENCE,” words of God Incarnate, the Lord Jesus Christ!

This is where the jet planes, million-dollar homes, thousand-dollar suits, TAKING (stealing)THE FIRST SUNDAY’S OFFERING WITHOUT INFORMING THE CONGREGATION OF THIS DISPICABLE ACT! At least other secular organizations consistently employ their pyramid schemes so that a very few people beneath them receive a little of the profiteering. But these greedy transgressors of God’s law, those who trust in riches, heap stolen money to themselves and their immediate family members on their payrolls.

Further, they bring under their not-for-profit umbrellas, heretofore “independent” departments like schools under their own names. The whole of Psalm 49 fully describes these foes of the Kingdom of God, especially Psalm 49:10-13:

“For he [man] sees that even wise men die; the stupid and the senseless alike perish, and leave their wealth to others. Their inner thought is, that their houses are forever, and their dwelling places to all generations; they have called their lands after their own names. But man in his pomp will not endure; he is like the beasts that perish. THIS IS THE WAY OF THOSE WHO ARE FOOLISH, AND OF THOSE AFTER THEM WHO APPROVE THEIR WORDS.” Let’s just get back to basics folks: Read your Bible for yourself!

(P.S. MELVIN: Sorry, I lost tj’s post somewhere within the site. Please have your wonderful VOPWM put this in its proper place, thanks much!)

AMEN, Sister Beryle…The Lord Jesus who is our New Testament example to follow, indeed engaged in name calling to communicate clearly the truth at hand. And as our example we are to follow this example also to state the truth as clearly as possible in the LOVE OF TRUTH for the saving of the soul. As read in Jude 1:22-23. If I may use part of Adam’s Clarke commentary of these two verses:

Verse 22: And of some have compassion, making a difference - The general meaning of this exhortation is supposed to be, “Ye are not to deal alike with all those who have been seduced by false teachers; ye are to make a difference between those who have been led away by weakness and imprudence, and those who, in the pride and arrogance of their hearts, and their unwillingness to submit to wholesome discipline, have separated themselves from the Church, and become its inveterate enemies.”

Verse 23: And others save with fear - “Some of them snatch from the fire: but when they repent, have mercy upon them in fear.” - Syriac. “And some of them rebuke for their sins; and on others have mercy when they are convicted; and others save from the fire and deliver them.”

Bondservant of the Lord Jesus Christ,
