I’ve mentioned Reverend Ike a few times in discussing the pulpit pimps. Remember, he is the proto-pimp, the one who laid out the template for the current crop of pimps we have to deal with. It takes a while to load, but you may want to take a look at the mpeg about him. You’ll even get to hear Master Profit Bernard Jordan, AL Sharpton and Reverend Run.
Since I have more time these days, I have been doing a lot more searching out on the web for material for the site. The pimps have not left me wanting. Even Reverend Ike has graced YouTube with his presence.
You know, I’m betting someone out there is going to write in and defend this man as an anointed man of God. It will probably be the same fellow who defended Cashflow after I published the string of quotes as he said Jesus was not God while he was on Earth. Any body want to take any of that action?

So this is how these pimps get their doctrine from? I’m telling you and I have been saying it from the get go, this prosperity gospel orginated by him and the stars of Christian television adopted his methods.
I was too young to remember when Rev. Ike was real popular during the 1970s. Yes, the contemporary young pimps sure use him as a template whether they know it or not. There is something else that is interesting here: Rev. Ike had to get his stuff from someone before him. Maybe it was sweet Daddy Grace and Father Divine.
you know the thing about it is that those who portray this kind of message get better and than their forerunners. Check out the peeps who are doing it now. They make the dude look like garbage.

Oh my God! That Bernard Jordan link makes me want to cry. It’s so sad that people actually believe this stuff. Does anybody out there study the Word of God anymore? It kind of makes you angry to see that people are so bold to do this and say that it is God!

I thought that Rev Ike passed away some years ago. In fact that is what I told my wife. She asked me to look him up on the ‘net’ and I find out that he is still pimping.
An old girl friend had me to take her to see him back in the 70’s, I was not going to anybodys church either and I had to walk out on him. He was too much.

i remember back in 1986-1987 when i saw ike on tv still up to his old bag of tricks. his choir had the nerve to sing ‘loose your money’! that’s right, they were banging on the tambourines, hand clapping, and the choir director was in full swing. loose your money (clap clap) loose your money (clap clap) i coulda caught a softball with my mouth with how far my jaw dropped when i saw that foolishness. all atheists, is what i’ve concluded.
I was just talking to one of my sisters in the Lord and I told her about Rev. Ike’s choir singing “loose your money” and she was absolutely flabbergasted! That a choir would sing loose your money is saying a lot more about that ministry than they are aware of……. it is more important to sing about God’s grace, mercy, salvation and provision than to encourage the saints to let go of their money and give it to someone who has grown accustomed to fine living at the expense of the saints. This is not biblical. I don’t see anything wrong with blessing the man/woman of God, but for them to take scripture out of context and bully people into giving them their money is not kosher!
One person I have not seen anyone discuss is Leroy Thompson……….he is the biggest pimp of them all….I watched several of his shows and his montra is “Money Cometh” he even wrote a book with the title. He does not need a choir or collection plates……….this man’s congregation is putting thousands of dollars into his hands as he is so called “preaching”. He tells his congregation he is a “qualified reciever”. That is “big pimpin”. I saw one person walk up and put 10,000 dollars into his hands, and of course all the other memebers had to get in on the “blessing”….his podium was piled so high with money that day…

Where is Rev. Ike (Why are they looking for him)
There was a time when Rev. Ike, known and the “prosperity preacher”, seemed to be everywhere. He had a TV ministry that reached millions, and he continually traveled preaching at churches across the country. Back in the 70’s and 80’s, Rev Ike was known for his rolls royces and emphasized “Prosperity Now”
His quotes about money made him famous. “The best thing you can do for the poor is not to be one of them”! “If you want to be rich, feel rich. Don’t ever pass a bank without paying some attention to it. Read the interest that is being offered. Feel rich, learn how to feel money.”
It’s been years since the public has seen or heard from Rev.Ike. Jet found Rev. Ike, who now lives in an oceanfront estate near Los Angeles, the famed 72 year old minister, whose full name is Frederick Eikerenkoetter II, says he is officially retired and hasn’t preached in two years. “I’m just chilling as the young folks say.” He reveals that he suffered a massive stroke last year and was paralyzed on the right side for a while, but his speech was not affected.
“I found that very interesting that my speech was never affected,” he explains. “I figured that it was something like the experience that Job had when the devil said to God “the reason Job loves you so much is because of all the blessings that you gave him. Let me mess with him.” And God said, “I’ll let you mess with him but you will not touch his life”. And so the devil was permitted to mess with Job - that’s the Rev. Ike translation. And he did everything to him but he couldn’t kill him. I thought because I’ve been God’s agent for the healing and blessing of so many people that this was God saying, “This man’s mouth has blessed and healed and prospered so many people, I am not going to let you touch his mouth.”
Rev Ike recalled how he healed people during his sermons. “I would snatch people out of their wheel chairs, break their canes and crutches, so they could walk again.” He adds “After doing all of that for others, I said, “I am not going to leave this hospital in either a wheelchair or one of the two crutches they gave me. I walked out of the hospital on my own. Thank God”.
Rev Ike’s son, Xavier Frederick Eikerenkoetter, handles the day-to-day operations of his father’s ministry, the United Christian Evangelistic Association that includes the Christ United Church, (The Palace Cathedral in New York, City), the direct mail ministry and his website, http://www.revike.org.
Rev. Ike ended his TV program, “The Joy of Living” two years ago. he now enjoys time out of the spotlight with his wife of 43 years, Eula Dent Eikerenkoetter. “I dont miss the spotlight. That was wonderful, but there is a time for all things”.
Bishop E. Bernard Jordan, founder of Zoe ministries, who is one of Rev. Ike’s proteges, told jet: “He has been a father figure to me. He taught me about self-empoowerment. I found out that he was not about money, but about how to get out of the ghetto and get into the get mo”. He teaches you about your human potential. His is a voice that needs to be heard.”
Asked if he had a message for Jet readers, Rev Ike replied: “Tell them God is still good and keep believing”.
That was the full article. I am only 38 years old, but I remember my great grandma used to send this pimp money and she would watch him on T.V. and he would send letters and stuff speaking a false hope and she would eat the words up. I can remember vaguely how she would send this pimp money faithfully. I tell you like the world says the “game” has not changed it’s just a whole brand new set of pimps and pimpettes.
Of course they have him standing in front of his Rolls Royce with his pimp suit, pinky ring and mack daddy cane.

I must confess that what comes out of this mans mouth is the worst heresy I have ever heard. For starters he talks about Gnosticism and the truth of ME. Listen to this clip.
