I got up this morning and checked my e-mail. In it sat verification that the Word of Faith followers are either incapable of exercising any kind of spiritual discernment of just too lazy to do it.
If you remember, a couple of days ago I ran a clip of Creflo Dollar repeatedly stating that when Jesus was on Earth, He was not God. He even tried to argue the position from Scripture.
This morning I got this e-mail from a reader. Oh, the subject was “God bless your heart.”
…because you are truly a weapon of the devil. If you read your Bible your would know in Matthew 7:1 it says “…judge not lest ye be judged.” But you have taken it a step further. I pray for you that you may not receive the just recompense for your actions but may see God’s full grace. The fact that you have taken such time to ‘Touch’ an anointed man of God, Creflo Dollar, tells me that you are in fact of the antichrist. Repent and start praying and reading your Bible if you have one. Or better yet log on to Streaming Faith and watch truly anointed people.
I cleaned up some of the spelling and syntax. I suspect English is not this writer’s first language.
These are the kinds of people Creflo leeches from to make a living. Apparently his entire ministry is built on people’s inability or unwillingness to compare what he says to what the Bible says.
Remember, his Jesus is not the Jesus of the Bible. His gospel is not the Gospel of the Bible.
His followers are deceived and in danger of hell fire.
Remember too that Jamal-Harrison McBryant (click here) brings this man in to speak to his congregation.
Oh, and anyone keeping score , I have now been connected to the Antichrist.
Oh how the deceived souls run to Matthew 7:1 or Psalms 105:15 when something bad is said about a pastor, (excuse me) a “huckster” that they lovingly follow. Again, there’s a big difference between judging and exposing and from what I read in my bible, according to scripture, we’re free to judge without being judgmental. In fact we are commanded to judge in the body of Christ when there’s wrong doctrine being taught.
I’m a former follower of WCCI. I use to read their newsletters and use to watch all their broadcast. I’ve fellowshipped on a few occasions with a church that’s under his teaching. I’ve been to the meetings, I’ve been up front and I’ve been in the back room. I’ve seen things with my eye and heard thing with my ears. I can list dozens of quotes from this man, line it up with scripture to show you that he’s dead wrong in some of the things he teaches.
So for the person who sent that message can you tell us, according to scripture, why you believe Pastor Dollar is teaching sound doctrine, and please back it up with scripture. Titus 1:10-11 tells us that these “hucksters” are mere talkers and deceivers and that they are teaching things they ought not to teach for the sake of dishonest gain. I know it’s hard following somebody and discover they’re teaching a bunch of heresy. However God does want us to have a teachable spirit.
But you know NCW, the same ones that are so quick to quote Matthew 7:1, they need to move their eyes down to Mathew 7:21-23:21
“Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?’ And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work INIQUITY.”
I like how the New Living Translation words verse 23: “But I will reply, `I never knew you. Go away; the things you did were UNAUTHORIZED.”‘
You have to understand that the followers of WOF preachers are brainwashed. They attend service several times a week and maybe twice on Sundays. They’re taught on a continual basis to beware of people who question the authority of their leaders (like Jim Jones - they are too blind to know what kind of poision being given) integrity, financial success. People are constantly warned of the persecution that the leaders undergo because they can ride in Bentleys, Jets, Rolls Royces, Limosines, etc.
The scriptures are clear concerning this level of deception. For those of you who’ve been there and the Lord has delivered you from these cults. Continue to pray for other innocent souls.
I spent seven years at New Light Church and believed the lies. The Spirit of God is the ONLY one who can take the blinders off the eyes (minds) of people who’re trapped in this madness.
Toni:
I think I read this scripture on another post: 2 Timothy 3-5; how true is this.
2 Timothy 4
I feel this way all the time, its very depressing and stressful. I feel no matter what seems to be true their is always another interpretation or another false doctrine. Anybody else feel this way?
(MN: I assumed you meant 2 Tim 4 and made the adjustment. If that was not correct, let me know. )
No, I meant 2 Timothy 3:7
Sorry about the confusion.
man oh man!!! theres always somebody wanting to put the preacher man down……..I Don’t know creflo well but d***!!!he has a lot of explaining to do in front of church……..don’t pimp creflo look at yourselves before you decide to study this man……..
You know I just think you people that is trying to knock a man of God is PATHETIC. God is a loving God and a Giving God. If you are a child of the most high God you are rich and will bless you with prosperity. Creflo is the truth. He is highly annointed. It seems if someone is doing better than others everyone has a problem.
Creflo has a doctorate in the Religious field. (MN: As opposed to the wheat field in the back forty.) He knows what he’s talking about. He’s actually changed my mother’s life and she is a irm believer of Christ and the lord has blessed and all ways since especially financially.
A lot of you people are using him as a scapegoat because ya’ll are probably not walking a righteous path and are not reaping the benefits. The lord describes heaven in the bible and its sounds like a grand life that the biggest superstars or mega-billionaires could imagine. I believe the anointed this man of Christ and his followers are rewarding him.
I never heard him preach a sermon where he says I need a Rolls Royce and a jet but if they are gifts I would love to see who would reject (no one ). So let’s stop hating and find Christ. (MN: That’s going to be kind of tough with Creflo preaching a different Christ.) Its funny how people of the world can see a scam but the followers of Christ are supposedly blind to the scam. (MN: My point exactly. My nephew, in prison, correctly identified them as cons and pimps.) People of the world are always trying to find a loophole when it comes to someone in Christ but they probably haven’t picked up a bible the whole week. (MN: Kind of like you, I suspect. )
I cannot trust a heretic that tells me that Jesus had to perfect Himself on earth before He became God. Or Jesus suffered in hell for our sins. Dollar and Copeland are two kindred spirits of the devil.
Yeah, Melvin, who do you think you are? Jesus, “touching” the Pharisees? Paul “touching” the heretics in Galatia and Colossae and the perverts in Corinth? Peter “touching” the gnostics in Asia Minor? Elijah “touching” Jezebel, Ahab and the false prophets of Baal? Dang, boy, Creflo’s got an honorary Doctor of Divinity degree from Oral Roberts University. You think you can “touch” that? If so, I’ll have to sic John Avanzini (aka “the biblical economist”) on you–he’ll be at WCCI this Sunday.
(MN: Yep. I’m shaking in my boots. )
eucatastrophe, I want to give you the benefit of the doubt and say that you were not serious in posting that. But for the sake of argument if you are - then do you really believe that some “Doctor of Divinity Degree” automatically gives a man credentials to teach scripture. According to the bible, the prophets and apostles were taught of God, not from some school. Many of the apostles where ignorant (according to carnal knowledge) Acts 4:13, but because they were with Jesus, these men had to be respected. Now it is clear as day that Creflo Nickle’s doctrine is contrary to scripture, the man is about money. He promotes false prophecies, if you don’t believe me check this http://interactive.creflodollarministries.org/bible/prophecies.asp… Its appearant that he cares nothing about the people that follow him. Because i can’t imagine that someone with such high “Degree” in God, would misinterpret so many things. Therefore I we must come to the conclusion that he is making merchandise of the souls that sow into his so called ministry. I’m just getting so sick and tired of not only people being decieved by these wolves, but willingly defending them to the end!!
(MN: Okay Truthofgod, calm down. Take a couple of deep breaths. That’s it. Now let that bloodpressure drop just a little bit. Your boy was being facetious, using satire to express a truth. I do that for a living on this site and I’ve warned people out there not to try it at home because someone might get hurt. And look, you almost blew a gasket! Of course, it would have been eucatastrophe’s fault. Have we learned our lesson yet, people? I’m a trained professional. Don’t try this at home! )
ok he got me.. I apologize, it was building up in me for a while, and it came out.
I understand. The pimps and their…uh…followers do tend to be rather frustrating.
I do not think that Melvin is acting or proving himself to be JESUS is about time we the christians fi ds out the truth about these preachers . And that ,title and degree has nothing to do with the truth . MELVIN ,continue with the good work .This work is not about what school you went , is about ones salvation.
It is beyond belief that people will still follow this HERETIC even after hearing him blaspheme our Lord in such a way…and they ALWAYS respond by qouting Matthew 7:1 way out of context and calling these “children of Satan” God’s “annointed” when someone rightly divides the word and exposes them as the wolves they are! I feel sorry for people like this who have been duped into thinking that they support a true man of God. Sad, sad, sad…
my whole thing is that aren’t we all God annoited? I mean come on. We all have the holy spirit who gives us strength and power to live a godly life! So that mean Paul was wrong cuz he touched Peter? That kind of thinking leaves no room for correction. Where in the Bible is there different levels of annointing?????? The eye can’t say to the hand we don’t need u!
“Anointed” has got to be one of the most misappropriated word used by the pimps. In the OT, it had to do with someone being chosen by God for a specific purpose (e.g. to rule as king, to preach the good news, etc.). Now, it’s all about the noise: the louder and more outrageous your buffoonery, the more ridiculous and far-fetched your interpretations of Scripture, the more likely that you are “anointed.”
Welp, I posted a while back about my wife and older children were in one of these WofF (WolF) cults for the past 3 years, the last year of which we were going through one of the nastiest divorce proceedings imaginable with custody war over the youngest (I managed to get it).
Well, she’s out…but the older kids are still affiliated.
At least we’re all in counceling and even the oldest kids are aware of some ‘inconsistancies’ in what they were taught there.
It’s been over a month now and the wife is extremely depressed, has no desire to ever step foot in a church nor even pick up her bible…
I was correct when I said it was a cult and that most of what we were going through was related to their teachings.
She left me because I wasn’t ‘one of them’. “Seperate yourself from evil, ungodly sorts…you are who you associate with.” That sort of thing, over and over and eventually, she jumped out on ‘faith’ with their promises that things would be better after all the yoke is light and easy, and you can get what ever you say you want.
She ended up dumping 20% of her income last year into them and that’s not counting cash donations and the numberous gifts for important events like; pastors b-day, his wife’s b-day (also a pastor), he children’s b-day, his mother in laws b-day, mothers and fathers day, anniversaries, his son’s truck (your kids want a car when they learn to drive…plant a seed!) 2 different baby-showers for pastors daughter…you get the idea. Plus whenever there was a visiting pastor, love gifts were called for.
She was part of their bible institute, touted as a pseudo-seminary, for 600 dollars a semester. I recognised it as it was, an over blown Sunday-school. Even though they stated that the tuition was to cover all needed, there were always ‘visiting teachers’ with associated love offerings. Graduation had accompanying calls to give more presents to the teachers…
Yes, at times the pastor did say that if you couldn’t afford to give, don’t…but, reach in and give a dollar or more and that this was a ’special annointed offering’ they were taking up and you were missing out on the rewards to come if you didn’t give…
We wasted $17,000 in the past year for divorce proceedings and associated expenses that I can come up off the top of my head…probably more if I could bring myself to sit down and count it all.
My oldest children were turned against me and when we reconciled, they turned on the wife to a degree too. They currenly live with their grand parents.
In their time with the church (I use the term lightly), they have become rude and disrespectful, more so than typical teens and I NEVER had much of any problems with them. Most members, when I learn more about them live hypocritical lives, justifying their own illicit and immoral ways with a thin coating that they are entitled to it or that it’s their ‘harvest’. It’s surprising what you can justify to yourself.
When the wife left them, no one called after her (what ever happened to the parable of the lost sheep?) they shun her. All her instant church friends are instantly gone…as per the pastors preachings.
And while I come to sites like this and KNOW that others also know the truth…it’s pointless.
I work as a news monitor. Yep, all day long, I work watching news and writying synopsis about it for PR firms and the like…
In doing so, little tid bits on churches and religion surfaces.
I’d say WofF ideology is represented at least 60% of the time in any segment on Christianity.
Watch a piece on the Da Vinci Code and some matronly lady proudly exclaims that she’s not afraid of the heresty taught because she’s got the “God Kind of Faith!” Or see a segment where cousins are killed in an apartment fire and their family is at church mourning and praising…and WofF oriented bible phrases adorn the place.
Mega churchs are WofF oriented the vast majority of time. Turn around in the Library and some woman’s holding a Joel Olsteen book.
Take my son swimming at the local pool (1st time I’ve ever gone there and I’ve lived her 13+ years) and the nice older man sitting next to me went to the wifes church and was married by her pastor. He even had his foster kids with him, my sons age and they played together.
You ask if Christians even know their scripture.
NO, they DON’T. I read once a few years ago in a christian article that something like 80% of ‘Christians’ don’t read the bible.
My wife’s read it at least a dozen times since we’ve been married, yet she has comprehension problems and for many, the bible certainly isn’t easily understood.
So, they sit back and let successful, charming people tell them what to believe.
Tell them about Hobart Freeman or Marjoe Gortman, point out that they’re being told the same load of bologna that my Wiccan friends push but white-washed by saying Jesus, God and Holy spirit and it makes it all-good.
*sigh*
Most of the time, it seems more trouble than it’s worth. Many Americans want their golden calf to worship that they got cheaply at Wal-Mart of the drive through window at a fast food joint.
I should joint them and milk it for all it’s worth. I know the lines, I’ve been told by many that I have a convincing voice and sound rhetoric.
I could make a golden calf…my name IS Aaron after all.
Heck, forget using gold, I could use left over aluminium foil and call it gold and say those who have true faith will see it for the gold it really is.
Yeah, and I could dress up as a Texan ‘cowboy’ and ride it onto the stage…
Yeee Haaaww!!!
Seriously Melvin (and others) don’t you just want to scream?
My biggest frustration (though I’m kind of getting accustomed to it) is having someone come in and make the usual brain dead “touch not my anointed” mantra. Usually they can’t spell, can’t punctuate, and can’t put three sentences together coherently. But they can get on the interenet and defend their pastor/pimp!
Watching the pimps work their magic is kind of like watching the president of NAMbLA work his magic at a boy’s club for the mentally challenged.
By the way, it’s good that your wife got out. Now the hard part starts. From what I understand, those who escape the Wolves generally have exactly the reaction your wife is going through. It will take time, love, and prayer on your part. The rest of the readers may want to put her on your list as well. Believe me, at this point she can use it.
just wondering if anyone knows anything about myles munroe. i had the chance to see him at a local church the message was on Kingdom worship.
His openeing line was “turn to your neighbour and say if you knew how much i was worth you’d take me to lunch 2mor”
Other things that made me weary was:
the greek word for ask is ‘demand’ can someone tell me if this is true?. He spent 15 minutes selling a range of his other books. He encrougaged people to join is kingdom somethig or the other so they could get this special anointed pin to attract blessings (what ever happened to good old fashion favour of God). He was rude about theologians saying he had no respect for them and ridculed chruches that have their services printed out.
He spoke for over an hour about kingdom living/worship. Then asked all those who wanted to recieve the same anionting he had to kingdom live to sow a seed of 50POUNDS.
I’ve done internet searches but i have found very little I might have to burrow or buy one of his books to see what he’s about. He had such a hold on the congregation people who i know haven’t been to church for a while came out to hear him.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
If it helps any, let me point out that Myles is the fellow who ordained (or whatever it is one does) Betty Peebles as an Apostle.
Here’s what Strong’s Dictionary says. I don’t really see anything about demand. The closest is the idea of require and call for.
Strong’s Greek #154
154 αἰτέω [aiteo /ahee·teh·o/] v. Of uncertain derivation; TDNT 1:191; TDNTA 30; GK 160; 71 occurrences; AV translates as “ask” 48 times, “desire” 17 times, “beg” twice, “require” twice, “crave” once, and “call for” once. 1 to ask, beg, call for, crave, desire, require. Additional Information: For synonyms see entries 1189, deomai; and 2065, erotao.See entry 5802 for comparison of synonyms.
In fact, the book “Synonyms of the New Testament” by Richard Trench makes it clear that the is used in the seeking of an inferior (younger, less power, etc) from a superior. Certainly not circumstances that give the idea of demanding.
Myles is simply doing what Pimp Creflo does: Tell you something, build afaulty theology on it, and then trust you not to do any research on your own.
A classic WoF tactic.
I am really concerend about something that all these WOF churches seem to do…that is the throwing of money onto the altar when the pastor says something that exites them (ex. “your breakthrough is coming”, “ching ching is on your block”, “I am in God’s favor and his annointing”..can someone please explain this to me? Is this anywhere in the bible? Not tithing, but throwing money…I think its wrong!
I think in sports they would call that “showmanship”. In any event, I never saw in the scriptures where people came and threw money at the prophets or apostles feet, (like i said i could be wrong). Its another example of these so-called “men of God” showing their arrogance and pride while preaching the good news.
Example, i remember a while ago Pastor Ron Gibson visited the church i used to attend. I believe his message had to do with , of course, how to communicate with God through faith, and building more of it to live in this life. I must admit, the message was questionable, but not really that bad. lol lol,…But when it was time for the benediction, the people in the audience began walking down single file, tossing money at his feet . This was after he prophesied that, if you gave a love offering of $500, the Lord will bless you in abundance by the end of the year. As they did this, people wanted to shake his hand (i suppose out of his popularity), and this clown had the nerve to say “HURRY UP HURRY UP, DONT TOUCH MY GLORY”. My mouth just dropped, because all i can think was, that this joker actually think that he is God.
I had a quote that I’d toss out quite often a few years ago that I came up with that rings true.
“I can say anything I want and the foolish will alway believe it true.”
Recently, I came across the Melgrim(sp) studies again and was thinking how inate human nature seeks authority and guidance and how someone can manipulate that to their own ends.
We are naturally sheep. Thus, we should have a ‘good shepherd’.
I find it ironic that they think a thin covering of ‘love offering’ hides the fact that they are attempting to sell the message and gifts. Clearly they gloss over Acts 8:9 on.
I’m still waiting for some day, for someone in a meeting to quote Deuteronomy 18:20-22 to these false prophets.
I wonder if Mr. Gibson would come back if you said ‘Here’s my 500. I demand to be blessed in abundance. I’m standing on MY faith that this will happen. Do you have the faith to back up your prophesy with tangible results? Hope so. Because I have very large stones with which to pelt you about the head and shoulders, in accordance to traditional treatments of false prophets, awaiting in the trunk of my car. I’ll see you at the end of the year. Do you have an address where I can easily contact you? You know, to ’shower’ you with thanks and praise for my blessings…or lack thereof?”
As for twisting greek. My wifes ex-pastor did that constantly. Anything in scripture that didn’t support his own beliefs was twisted by looking for the most obscure meaning of a word.
I remember taking to the wife about this last year. She just blankly looked at me as she couldn’t defend it.
She did try to defend the ‘Have faith OF God’ vs ‘Have faith IN God’ that they WofFers base the bulk of their errant religion on.
Fortunatly, I have studied German, French and Russian so I have a linguistics background and could reply, “Ever hear of grammar?”
Then there was the ever popular argument from authority.
“Well, he has 30+ years of pastoring, you don’t”
Which was easily countered with ‘Well, he has 30+ years of getting it wrong. Why is if the WofFers are the ONLY ones pushing this erronious message? We have a couple THOUSAND years of biblical study by countless nationalities and cultures, people who’ve devoted life times to rightly dividing the Word. You decide to toss all that away to follow a man who freely admits to burning out half his brain on drugs in the 70’s (part of the obligatory Damascus Road experience they seem to have to have) and is anti-education?’
Anyway.
I thank you all for continual prayers for my wife. I firmly believe that they helped over the past year to get her out of this sick mess and hope that they continue to aid her in recovering from the spiritual and emotional damage they’ve leveled on her. My children and I also need them.
Go with Him,
Thorn.
Sad thing is Thorn, they only run to the old testament scriptures when it has to do with being physically blessed. But, when it comes to the old testament judgement (i.e. Deut. 18), then they say that we are no longer under the Old Covenant, “Christ nailed the Law to the cross”. How conveniently ironic, isn’t that? My thing is when you are taught lies, you will follow the liar until the end. It only takes the grace of God to bring people out of that vicous cycle. I will pray for your wife, my family, myself, and everyone that the Lord can sustain us during this time of testing.
God bless.
Time of testing is absolutly correct truthofgod. Zion is redeemed through judgement. Only those who endure in the truth shall be saved. The wheat and the tares, nominal christendom/world and the true bride of Christ the Church. Jacob and Esau, the elect and the reprobate. Always this test to show who’s who and what’s what.
Peace
I’m SO tired of all those so-called ministries hiding behind the phrases “love gift,” and its most oft-used deception, “sowing a seed gift to God.” It has sure lulled many people away from a very sobering truth.
King James did christianity a huge disservice with his translation of the greek word kapeleuo into the english word “corrupt” in @ Cor. 2:17. Kapeleuo means to “peddle”, or “to trade for profit,” and is used only once in the entire New Testament. Paul said that “we are not as many, which PEDDLE or SELL FOR PROFIT, the word of God.” Of course, the hucksters ARE corrupting (Sapros is the greek word for corrupt, which was used, among other times, when Jesus spoke of the tree which brings forth “corrupt” fruit) the word, but how many people look at this verse and realize that what these preachers are doing when they ask for “love gifts” for a tape series or a book that they’ve written, or ask their gullible followers to “sow a seed into the ministry,” they are in fact PEDDLING THE WORD OF GOD. Jesus told the disciples “freely you have received, FREELY GIVE.” These hucksters are FAR from living and obeying this mandate.
I cannot believe all the information I have just recently come across with regard to the faith ministries, Creflo Dollar and many of the Word-Faith ministries and their messages. I have been a part of a much smaller “faith” ministry for the past 14 years and I guess I have often wondered why ‘we’ have not seemed to have grown as fast and furious as many of these others have (smile).
We have several churches in our community (2/3 with growing second and third churches). I wonder where do all these people come from? I know that as an individual, you must read the word and pray for instruction and guidance. Many of us are too lazy to read and of course, doubt - and immediately (we are told) that you have defeated the purpose. I, too have a problem with the seemingly “rich’ preachers and their lavish lifestyles and the differences in their poor congregations. What happened to ‘dividing the riches among the people’ so all could be blessed.
Sometimes I question my own position (musician) in my church. Pastors who try to CONTROL the very lives and personal aspects of their leaders is something I have a problem with. I am accountable, yes, but to have someone (preacher) driving around in the middle of the night looking to see whose ‘car’ is parked in front of a members house at 2:00 in the morning is RIDICULOUS!
But the sad part is - these preachers have their ‘flock’ so fooled and sometimes so weak - that they can’t stand up to defend themselves. I have never been that ‘caught up by Dollar’ and the others either - they come popping up like popcorn - some last, some don’t materialize and are thrown out like some burnt kernals.
I love God, I trust Jesus and I know what the Word says becuase the Holy Spirit teaches me. I don’t take the word of mere man - anointed and appointed or not - they are capable of fleshly desires and motives and bad judgement like the rest of us - we are in the human suit and until the transformation is made by Jesus himself - hey - we have to deal with it. I just wanted to thank those of you who have offered so much information in which to pray and discern. I am thankful for this site and will continue to visit to learn more and more. Where do I send my donation to support this ministry? (smile)
Hey Melvin I have some Info that a guy left on another website about Creflo. Thought it was interesting, so I will post it. You can do some checking on this, and let the rest of us know. If it’s true then praise the Lord, if not he is just up to no good again. Check it.
For all ya’ll that don’t know, my church is affiliated with World Changers. Although our church is pretty large, I have access to the pastor because he is my uncle. About 2 weeks ago I went to them and express some of my concerns about Dr. Dollar and some of the teachings. This week my family went up to World Changers for a leasership conference, and they came back with info that encouraged me. They said the 1st night Dr. Dollar didn’t preach, he got the mic and just talked. From the heart. The main thing he pointed out was how he had been teaching the prosperity message wrong, and he apologized. He said that he allowed people to take it however they wanted, and also taught things that were unbiblical concerning it. Dr. Dollar said that the message went soooo left field, and so far away from it’s original message that he understood why people hated the message, and hated him. He also (not in detail) expressed that he was going to be changing alot around his ministry, and that he has been feeling different about some of his teaching. I was also told that he went on to express that Jesus was always God, and will always be. (Which we talked about on here) He also stated that God was reavealing his word in a totally different way. I am glad to hear this, because ever since I heard that teaching about his belief of Jesus’ nature, I have been uneasy. I now pray, and ask that ya’ll pray that there is fruit to follow this apology. I also ask that from right now, before we “expose” or bash these preachers, that we pray 1st, and ask the Holy Spirit to convict, and change the hearts of these men who are in the forefront of Christianity. Although they may not believe as all of us do, they have a way larger audience than us, and they need to be on point with their teachings, because there are so many souls effected by them. I don’t want anyone to go to hell either, so I pray for them. Let’s just try this method as it is my opinion.
Tell me what you think.
BINKS
(MN: Sorry Binks. I can only go with what the Bible says. If he preaches publicly, he gets rebuked and exposed publicy. If he recants and starts preaching good stuff, then we can go from there. I hope what you say here is true. Let’s take a look at his next television show and see what he says. If it’s different from what he has been saying, then that’s great and the postings on him get removed. If he took his site down and took all of the bad teaching off the web, then the postings go. But if he keeps preaching the same heresies, keeps selling the same flawed theology, keeps taking money from eager Christians, and keeps putting seriously flawed messages out there, then the postings stay. Anyone who wants to pray for him is certainly welcome to.
By the way, they are not in the forefront of Christianity. That is one of my complaints about them. They are in the forefront of heresy and greed, not Christianity. Remember, exposing their teachings is not bashing them, any more than turning in a thief is bashing the thief.
By the way, where is this information posted? )
Well, that is encouraging………….but then so was Benny Hinn’s short-lived “repentance” for his heresy as well.
As Melvin has wisely replied……it’s best to wait and see.
A couple more points as well. If he’s serious about repenting of his previous heresies/pimping, there needs to be a public statement concerning this matter, and not in some obscure conference.
The errors were promulgated worldwide on radio/TV/internet. That is where the repentance must be addressed as well. When error is taught from the pulpit,Biblically it is to be addressed in that same forum. Cashflo’s pulpit was a media one………let him now use it to correct and repent.
I sincerely hope we see this happen………..
Holycultureradio.com, again it’s something I found, I’m not saying I agree until I see something new from him, but this was supposed to have happened at some leadership conference.
(MN: Thanks for the link )
Okay. I found the site and the comments you refer to. As I said earlier, keep checking his site. Zacheus changed his actions immediately. He invited the Lord into his house and he determined to pay back those whom he had wronged.
Creflo’s site is still on the web with the same stuff. I will probably continue to hammer him until the site goes away or he appears on the site recanting of the heresies he has been preaching all these years.
Ah, yes……………the morons are out in force. The last several posts are the internet equivalent of flatulence.
Lighter than air, devoid of substance, and generally noxious.
Hi Comrade! I saw this one yesterday and was laughing so hard while showing it to my daughter, I forgot to nominate you for “Best Synonym on the Internet for the Year Award.” You little “professional-in-training trainee,” you! Love you much! Beryle
Wow….someone had TIME to actually do this (the names and general posts)? There are more productive things to do.
hi melville, i asked you this in a post yesterday but i guess it got lost in all these other “not active serfers” crappola, btw, what is this all about? is there a point in posting these ‘not an active serfer” things, ’cause if there is- i’m not getting it. so fill a sista in. names from a-z nonsense. rme.
(MN: I was trying to activate a spam-filter. But it didn’t work. In fact, it did the opposite of what I wanted and ended up letting EVERYTHING through. Did I miss one or two of the “serfer” spams? )
MN: Couldn’t help but think, whoever initiated the “serfing” spam will wish for the SURF to quench the power of fire, if they don’t repent, recognize, and submit to righteous authority.
(MN: And it’s getting worse. I had 208 spam comments last night. I may have to initiate a log in just to filter out the spam. It wouldn’t cost you anything, but it will be somewhat inconvenient. I hate spammers. I think they are just a step above murderers and sex offenders. )
Agreed!!! Can’t your ISP filter the spam? Mine, Earthlink, does a marvelous job of filtering and storing these messages. They provide an option for me to look at the count and decide what is legitimate, thereby moving it to the Address Book. We’ve had this service from the inception of Earthlink. I love it!
(MN: I don’t really have an ISP for the server, at least not in the same way you do with AOL, Earthlink, or other service providers. I maintain a server on my own. I suspect, as I commented a couple of days ago, I will have to implement a log-in process to protect the server itself. It will be inconvenient, but I will try to make sure everyone knows it’s coming so you aren’t surprise when you visit the site. )
hi melville and family, i know this is off the usual subjects but please allow me- and feel free to advise/answer. while looking at the mn comment about murderers & sex offenders i thought of a recent conversation i had w/ some saints. we were discussing the statement that judge judy made when she was on larry king re: sex offenders- she said she believes they should be executed because there is no cure for them and they will reoffend. i know that the power of Jesus can transform the vilest of sinners and we become new creations in Him, but i told them that i still wouldn’t want my children to be a part of any group if i knew the brother was once a child molester. they accused me of not believing that God’s power changed that person. honestly, i would be extremely apprehensive about my children around a brother w/ that background and i think some testimonies shouldn’t be broadcast. does this make me a hypocrite in that sense? am i really doubting that God changed this believer? why on earth do they want to work around children?- to prove to themselves they are no longer a threat to children? do u think it’s best that some things not be revealed? i believe in being transparent and and open book for the most part, but there are some pages/chapters that i think only God should read. mel, if u don’t mind- i’d really like to know if i’m wrong to feel this way.
Sad…..the “instant messenger” feel seemed pretty effecient in alot of ways. I f someone made a comment, you didn’t have to wait 5 hours later to see what they said so you resond to it later…Is there truly no other possible way to work with it but with having a LOg-In?
(MN: The IM feel will still be there. It’s there because I check the moderation queue fairly regularly throughout the day. Some times I post a comment as soon as it appears. Sometimes I can’t get to the machine. Sometimes I sleep. Sometimes I do other things. The log in will have no affect on the postings and speed with which they take place. That is a function of me and my availablity. But it will require you to create a log in identity and let the browser set cookies for your log in. Not complicated. Just a change. And like most folks, I hate change. )
Feel ya on that, brah….Our Prayers be with ya on it.
Blessings…
yeh right you all feeeeel the holy sprit….allow
me to be honest (seek god properly!) your research on this man is shocking……
That is not clear for me completely. Anyway thanks for your thoughts.
Regards.
“Touch not God’s anointed” is a favorite catch-phrase of WOF preachers, misquoted to scare their followers into swallowing everything they say.
