Wow,

Please make no mistake, I know scripture, but I think the word is made plain enough so a child could understand. I need not flex my spiritual muscle. Therefore I speak in layman's terms.

it's amazing. When Jesus himself adressed his disciples, he never called them "gods". I mean, if that were the message he wanted to get across at least he wouldve said it right? Well what about Paul the apostle, I mean surely he wouldve adressed himself as a "little g". He actually was caught up to heaven.

it's amazing how people treat the word of God like a jigsaw puzzle to prove a point. Sure scripture reference is important, but come on!

This is foolish. Jesus was Imanuel(God WIth Us). Please forgive me, I dont have my Bible to give exact scriptures. In 1st or 2nd Timothy we read that God was manifested in the flesh through Jesus. Jesus was all man and all God at the same time. Phil. Says Jesus, who being in the form of God thought it not robbery to be equal with God.........He humbled himself to be come like us. He was born without the sperm of a man. Creflo has lost his mind.

Just a short comment for Roy: You have tricked yourself into believing the YOU can criticize a man (Melvin), but he can't criticize a man (Creflo). Here's what I mean: You say, "It is not our job to be critical of one another and mudsling; however, we ARE commanded to love one another." Weren't you just 'critical' of Melvin? Didn't you just prove that indeed it IS 'our job' to be critical of one another? You just spent 250 words being critical of 'another.' Do you think to 'love one another' means to be all mushy and huggy and feel yummy in my tummy? Have you ever had to show love in other ways? When you child runs into the street, do you hug him, tell him it's ok, etc.? or do you show ultimate love by firm correction? Melvin seems a bit angry? Where? And, I guess you better have nothing to do w/Jesus (remember His anger in the temple? - oh, but wait, it's ok for Him to be angry - He's not God!!!).

Roy: you said: It is not our job to be critical of one another. Have you ever read Titus 1:10,11 or how about Jeremiah 23, Just read the whole chapter. Timothy 1:1-11 is a good one to read as well. If touch my annointed is the only scripture that comes to mind to defend their teaching then you should read more of your bible not just the highlight scriptures.

Roy, after reading your comments, and again seeing the phrase "Touch not my anointed" I wanted to ask exactly what you mean by that phrase, and I wanted to give some kind of exegesis as to what that phrase means when it appears in the Scripture. Instead, I came across a site that put it better than I could though.

http://www.letusreason.org/Pent47.htm

I hope you get a chance to read it. I'm sure Melvin would get some encouragement from it too, after some of the comments he endures =)

@Roy....

I've searched the Scriptures, and have yet to find a passage that teaches believers that, by looking into another's eyes, we will be healed, saved, blessed, redeemed, etc.

It is much too easy to breakdown this redundant, touchy-feelie type rhetoric; it merely identifies you as the follower of another 'jesus'. Sadly enough, you don't care enough about your own soul's salvation to do, or to believe, much more than what these pimps instruct you; and, therefore, they are your 'gods'.

Understand something, if they were, in fact, teaching the truth of the Gospel, and anyone came to hinder them, (much like what you've poorly attempted to do to Melvin and this site), then you would have a right to the 'suffer for Christ' claim. Unfortunately, your stance is from the depths of your ignorance, and the only suffering the pimps will endure, is if you refrained from giving them your money, and hear the voice of God for yourself.

Anyone willing to tell you the truth has, and is, sharing the love of God. I have noticed that you've been unable to soundly dispute anything put forth here. Like a cut rose, you smell pretty, and look good sitting on a table; but, you have no roots.

Roy, we've quoted like parrots for so many years "touch not mine anointed and do my prophet no harm," which is the reason why so many Christian leaders have run afoul of the Word and run amuck in their leadership, specifically as it relates to tithes and offerings (translated giving in the NT). The Word, says: all scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness. The word "reproof" means: accusation, rebuke, scolding, blame, criticism, etc. In other words, the Word is beneficial for telling someone about their self if they are in error. I have been abundantly blessed by a lot of what some of the Christian leaders named on this site have said, but the way they twist scripture for the fundraising efforts of the church is a stench before God. You better believe what I say, Roy; it is a stench to the nostrils of God. PW with her Atonement Blessing campaign with a $207 or $2007 monetary gift attached to it, in correlation to 2007. Jesus atoned for my sins on Calvary over 2000 years ago, what atonement blessing can PW offer me; she's not a Levite and neither she nor we are under law. God has spoken to me extensively on this subject and I've recorded it in a book titled the NT Grace of Giving. Why have church leaders for so long taught tithing under law and not giving under grace? Because, under grace we are free agents of God and are able to conduct ourselves under the caring persuasion of Jesus Christ, not the law, so they feel it's better to get ten percent than nothing at all. (Christians don't short your giving because you're not bound by the law, but give as you are able and according to how God has blessed you. How God has blessed you just may exceed a ten percent offering.) Under grace we are allowed to give any amount of money we want and are not bound by the ten percent tithe. Our leaders teach that we're cursed with a curse when we don't give ten percent, but how can we be under a curse and grace at the same time, or are we just under a curse when we don't give ten percent. If you think Christian leaders don't know we're under the grace of giving and not law when it comes to giving, you are sadly mistaking; they know! The comments on this site, for the most part, is exercising 2 Tim 2.13. Using the Word of God to show the blatant errors of our Christian leaders. What you call bitterness is righteous indignation. Is there such a thing? We're just angry, but we're sinning not.

"Melvin has a critical spirit"

It's called Discernment and biblical and theological knowledge. The haters of the world want to diminish this truth at every turn. Thus we see 'critical spirit' and other personal attacks against a messenger.

"you can never satisfy and the fact that he thinks he is above the scripture "touch not my Anointed" is blatant arrogance and FAR from walking in Love."
Do you even understand context and the real meaning of the touch not mine anointed? Or, were you spoon fed that by your own personal pimp?
And what is Love but to warn others of the dangers they may face?
"I have sat face to face with some of these men of God, looked into their eyes and my life has been powerfully changed because of it."

Same here...here's how it went...
It was no different that looking into the eyes of a ravenous beast intent on devouring you.
Their song may as well be out of the Jungle Book...
Trust in me, JUST IN ME
Shut your eyes and trust in me
You can sleep safe and sound
Knowing I am around

Slip into silent slumber
Sail on a silver mist
Slowly and surely your senses
Will cease to resist

Trust in me, JUST IN ME
Shut your eyes and trust in me...
(The Python's Song)

Might as well have been since the jist of their commentary is "I'm right and you're wrong. No I can't point it out in the bible without shrfedding it and taking anything found out of context or adding new verses and meaning to it...but trust me, I'm right."

"I Know the Copelands and countless others refuse to get caught up in the devil's demonic plan of dissension among the brethren."
So their calling on curses against 'heretic hunters' is love and not getting caught up in 'the devil's demonic plan'?
Some have even threatened violence. Some love...pimp love more like it.
"You see, a pimps love, is very different from the love of a square" -from the movie Idiocracy.

Melvin may be angry...but, if you actually read your bible, so was the Christ when dealing with the marketeers in the Temple and He didn't seem too gentile when dealing with the pharasies...

But, I'm sure you have some spin for that.

Furthermore, Mel is a super specially annointed man of God. You just laid your mouth him...touching His annointed is wroooong...

“Melvin has a critical spirit”

It’s called Discernment and biblical and theological knowledge. The haters of the world want to diminish this truth at every turn. Thus we see ‘critical spirit’ and other personal attacks against a messenger.

“you can never satisfy and the fact that he thinks he is above the scripture “touch not my Anointed” is blatant arrogance and FAR from walking in Love.”
Do you even understand context and the real meaning of the touch not mine anointed? Or, were you spoon fed that by your own personal pimp?
And what is Love but to warn others of the dangers they may face?
“I have sat face to face with some of these men of God, looked into their eyes and my life has been powerfully changed because of it.”

Same here…here’s how it went…
It was no different that looking into the eyes of a ravenous beast intent on devouring you.
Their song may as well be out of the Jungle Book…
Trust in me, JUST IN ME
Shut your eyes and trust in me
You can sleep safe and sound
Knowing I am around

Slip into silent slumber
Sail on a silver mist
Slowly and surely your senses
Will cease to resist

Trust in me, JUST IN ME
Shut your eyes and trust in me…
(The Python’s Song)

Might as well have been since the jist of their commentary is “I’m right and you’re wrong. No I can’t point it out in the bible without shrfedding it and taking anything found out of context or adding new verses and meaning to it…but trust me, I’m right.”

“I Know the Copelands and countless others refuse to get caught up in the devil’s demonic plan of dissension among the brethren.”

This is the type of person that would have "loved" the man in 1Cor 5 that slept with his stepmother. he would have said, "we just need to love him and just pray for him" and then said Paul was wrong to advise to cast him out of the church. This is the tyoe of guy who would have told Paul he was wrong for confronting Peter for being doubleminded when he was trying to be Jew one minute and Gentil the next. This guy, is one of the reasons the church is in the state it is in today, not willing to correct anything and just "love" everybody, regardless of what they are doing. Roy, read the epistles and stop worshipping man.

First of all....before I even looked at this site like I just did. Over lunch time, I was already bothered in my spirit not even knowing what it was about. Melvin has a critical spirit which is something you can never satisfy and the fact that he thinks he is above the scripture "touch not my Anointed" is blatant arrogance and FAR from walking in Love. the man has a spirit of bitterness, has been wounded and has no clue about the truth on forgiveness.

I have sat face to face with some of these men of God, looked into their eyes and my life has been powerfully changed because of it. To negate their teachings to me is to negate the healing I have experienced in my body and the healing I am able to minister to others b/c I have sat under such an anointing. The man is on dangerous grounds to speak out against these men and these men DO practice what they preach so they will not retaliate but probably will send Melvin an offering out of Love as they have done many times. I Know the Copelands and countless others refuse to get caught up in the devil's demonic plan of dissension among the brethren. And yes, the anointing always stirs up attacks and controversy such as this:) Anytime you know your Authority and Rights as a believer the devil gets upset and uses people like Melvin to attack.

As true followers of Christ, we should not even entertain such banter but cover each other with love as it talks of in Corinthians.....Melvin is a far cry from "Love hardly notices if one has been done wrong" and keep not record of wrong". It is not our job to be critical of one another and mudsling; however, we ARE commanded to love one another. It is the LOVE of God that leads men to repentance not a spirit of criticism and sarcasm. The bible also says to have NOTHING to do with an angry man. Melvin, seems a bit angry. Wrong spirit. Period. You asked :)

Read it again The Bible says this not anyone else In the beginning was the word and the word was with God and the word was God. If the word was with God and the word was God. Would that not make the word God? Now noone said this. The Bible says this ok.

Do you not believe in Mark 11: 23-24 or others like Ephesians 3:15-21. Look at verse 20 do you not believe that God cant do exceeding abundantly above all you could ask or think? If not you need to spend time with God to get his plan for your life. His come that we may have life and have it more abundantly!! It's all up to you. Just like getting born again was up to you.

Read your Bible. Dont take nobodys word. Read it for your self and you will see God loves us and wants the best for his kids. Jesus was born a man. He came from God. But was born through the womb of a woman. Witch makes him human. A man!!!!!! This is not that hard to understand. Still dont believe then get in the word and prove me wrong.

<strong>(MN:</strong>

<em><strong>John 1:1, 14</strong> In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God...and the Word became a human being.

<strong>John 20:28</strong> - Then Thomas said "My Lord and My God!"

These are just for starters. I suspect most readers could share another three or four with you. But I also suspect you don't really want to be shown. So much for getting into the word for yourself. </em> <strong>)</strong>

(GV) Hey there AlJ........let me respond to your points.

(AlJ)Help me out with this, because i don't know a whole lot. Outside of Jesus calling the Pharisees names(face to face, righteous judegement), where else in scripture do we see a "personal" attack on one's character. While I agree that we are taught to beware of wolves, vipers, false teachers etc, we should not to attack each other's character (ie calling one "A B Withched" because she/he has a different view or maybe no understanding) when addressing them.

(GV) AlJ.........not sure where you're going with this. How do you simply say "Well, OUTSIDE of these multitudinous examples." Who put them "outside"?? You have to tell me what criteria you used to come to the conclusion they don't count.

Also, how precisely is calling someone a "wolf" "viper", "hypocrite", "whitewashed tomb full of dead men's bones", "children of hell", "evil beasts", etc NOT a commentary on their character?? What IS it a commentary upon??

1Ti 1:20 Of whom is Hymenaeus and Alexander; whom I have delivered unto Satan, that they may learn not to blaspheme."

1Cr 5:3 For I verily, as absent in body, but present in spirit, have judged already, as though I were present, [concerning] him that hath so done this deed,
1Cr 5:4 In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when ye are gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ,
1Cr 5:5 To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.

Paul called the Galatians "Bewitched" which was what I was referencing. ALL of these are character commentaries. How could they NOT be?? Someone is a wolf,or a child of hell, or a hypocrite, but their CHARACTER is exemplary?? You're delivering someone to SATAN for the destruction of the flesh, but they have sterling character?? You lost me here brother.

(AlJ) i have talked to plenty of believers over the years who had a somewhat distorted view of some things about Christianity but never called them a name when they don't agree. Well, maybe when I was considered a babe and didn't know any better but that was a different time. I was just reading Romans 14 a couple days ago and had to go to my sister in law and ask forgiveness for trying to force my view on her because she felt something was wrong that I did not, you know, the gray area. And i know the context of what Romans 14 was speaking of Gary, so no need in posting a reply to that passage.

(GV) AlJ, I think where we essentially disagree is as to the definition of the poster in question. She had false doctrine which is VERY damaging. She said she has a website where she TEACHES this rot. That makes her a FALSE TEACHER. Different rules apply than with a sister who disagrees about skirt length in the church, or whether services should be held on Saturday.

(GV)Now what if A B Lever was a new convert, just suppose, would calling he/she A B Witched be a good thing? Would inticing her/him with "TIC TOC..............I'm waiting" benefit anything if they were a babe?

(GV) Did you read her comments?? Where in there do you get the impression she was a newbie at this??

(AlJ) What if an unbeliever just happened to stumble on this site and see such comments? What would they think of Christians. The world already think we are a bunch of nuts anyway.

(GV) Well, an unbeliever coming to this site might get the idea that the Word actually matters. It's a false scenario anyway.

The unsaved think we're nuts because they are unregenerate. Folks don't get born again because someone either talks sweetly, or talks harshly. They get born again because the Father calls them and they are among the Elect. If they are among the Elect, nothing I can say can keep them from God because HE is the one who saves them. If they are NOT among the Elect, they aren't going to accept Christ no matter how enticing my words may be.

(AlJ)While i agree there is a place and time for such (defending the Faith), I don't think calling another brother/sister names to "show them up" is convenient. I know this is a forum but when it becomes personal, don't you think we should get an email address and communicate that way? I COULD BE WRONG THOUGH.

(GV) AlJ, Paul's examples above with Alexander and Hymenaeus, and the brother sleeping with his stepmom (whom was well known among them) and calling the Galatians "bewitched", and wishing the Judaizers would just castrate themselves, and calling the Cretian believers "liars, evil beasts, slow bellies".

It's not always appropriate, I agree with you. But she came here (after ignoring the Word and being unable to support her position from Scripture.......which bothered her not at all) and called us close to blaspheming the Holy Spirit. Not only is that unbelievably ignorant, it's the tone I was responding to. She wasn't here to explore the Word. If she were, I would have answered quite differently.

(ALJ)No, I am in no ways a "fan" of Creflo, Long, Jakes or any of the like on TV but I have spoken to plenty who were fans of them and I handled it in a different way with attacking the follower's character. Some of them just needs to be shown a different way and we need to use wisdom in showing them. I can assure you that by calling A B Lever "A B Witched" will not cause him/her to turn a deaf ear to Creflo and others.

(GV) Again, I have to disagree, or what was Paul hoping to accomplish by pointing out in very harsh language the wolves and hypocrites and vipers to the congregations?? Surely he was hoping that they would see them for what they were, and avoid them.

(ALJ)I believe I am to show them in love and if they don't hear me, SHAKE OFF THE DUST AND MOVE ON. I can also assure you that this method has worked. the other way of yelling and screaming never worked for me as those who I engaged in this type behavior still felt they were right.

(GV) We may have to "agree to disagree" here to brother. If it's NOT love as the Bible defines it (rather than the world) to call folks out harshly at times, then the Father, and Jesus and Paul and Jude (he was a GREAT one for it) and a host of others who did precisely the same thing were not walking in love either. And of course there are some major ramifications to holding that view.

As I said, it's not always appropriate, and I don't always use it. But when sin and false doctrine are confronted and retained, the most loving thing one can do is let them feel the force of their error. No need sugar coating it.

Anyway, I just wanted you to see it from my perspective. You can agree to disagree, and that's OK. I won't blast you for it..............unless you start trying to tell us that you receive revelation directly from God while wearing a tin-foil hat, and He told you to tell us to send you all our money.

Then all bets are off!!

When

(GV) Hey there AlJ……..let me respond to your points.

(AlJ)Help me out with this, because i don’t know a whole lot. Outside of Jesus calling the Pharisees names(face to face, righteous judegement), where else in scripture do we see a “personal” attack on one’s character. While I agree that we are taught to beware of wolves, vipers, false teachers etc, we should not to attack each other’s character (ie calling one “A B Withched” because she/he has a different view or maybe no understanding) when addressing them.

(GV) AlJ………not sure where you’re going with this. How do you simply say “Well, OUTSIDE of these multitudinous examples.” Who put them “outside”?? You have to tell me what criteria you used to come to the conclusion they don’t count.

Also, how precisely is calling someone a “wolf” “viper”, “hypocrite”, “whitewashed tomb full of dead men’s bones”, “children of hell”, “evil beasts”, etc NOT a commentary on their character?? What IS it a commentary upon??

1Ti 1:20 Of whom is Hymenaeus and Alexander; whom I have delivered unto Satan, that they may learn not to blaspheme.”

Paul called the Galatians “Bewitched” which was what I was referencing. ALL of these are character commentaries. How could they NOT be?? Someone is a wolf,or a child of hell, or a hypocrite, but their CHARACTER is exemplary?? You’re delivering someone to SATAN for the destruction of the flesh, but they have sterling character?? You lost me here brother.

(AlJ) i have talked to plenty of believers over the years who had a somewhat distorted view of some things about Christianity but never called them a name when they don’t agree. Well, maybe when I was considered a babe and didn’t know any better but that was a different time.

Would inticing her/him with “TIC TOC…………..I’m waiting” benefit anything if they were a babe?

(GV) Did you read her comments?? Where in there do you get the impression she was a newbie at this??

(AlJ) What if an unbeliever just happened to stumble on this site and see such comments? What would they think of Christians. The world already think we are a bunch of nuts anyway.
