Did you ever wonder how there can be so many pimps and pimpettes in the United States, just here on the East Coast? I’ve been running this site for the better part of a year and a half and I’ve only had time to look at the bigger, more obvious pimps. But if you watch long enough, you can actually see the little pimplings being spawned by pappa pimps.
I discovered today, approving a comment for posting, that apparently, many of these pimps have mentors to help get them where they are.
And then I started thinking: “Okay, is that how it usually works? The Alpha Pimp idenifies a pimpling to nurture and help mature into a full fledged pimp.” I did a little looking around and spotted something on Fast Eddie’s site. One of the speakers is Bishop Gary Hawkins out of Rockdale County in Georgia.
Care to guess how Mr. Hawkins got to be where he is? He had Fast Eddie as his mentor. In fact, Fast Eddie ordained him as His Bishopness.
Maybe, you say with some hope, just maybe Mr. Hawkins is going to use his clout, the resources available to him through his 7,000 member church to get out there and preach the truth, to present the pure and untainted Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Don’t hold your breath. Here is an excerpt from an article from “The Common Ground News” out of Dekalb county, also in Georgia:
He is hosting his annual “Marketing Your Church For Growth” conference Nov. 6-10 and bringing renowned spiritual leaders, including Prophetess Juanita Bynum and Dr. I.V. Hilliard of New Light Christian Church, Houston , TX , to minister to other ministers and the masses during evening worship services that will be held during the conference.
Let’s see: marketing your church for growth. I think that was covered by Paul right after he fussed at Timothy for being a little shy. And look who was invited to the conference. That’s right: I. V. Hilliard and Juanita Bynum. And notice he makes the same tired promise all the other hucksters (you happy NCW?) make: Come and give me money and I will teach your something that will change your life forever or at least until next year when we hold the conference again and you get to pay $50 to attend again.
I haven’t heard a word this man has preached. But I can almost guarantee you, given the company he keeps (Cashflow Dollar, Fast Eddie, Profitess Bind’em, and others) he undoubtedly does more to keep people in material bondage and spiritual illiteracy than any country preacher trying to faithfully preach the Gospel.
And then I remembered: John K. Jenkins has openly and proudly admitted to having T. Dexter Jakes as his mentor. I guess if all goes well, John should be adding on to his memorial a couple of years after they move into the new building. I mean, hook up with Jakes, or Fast Eddie and they will show you how to turn a small group of maturing Christians into huge mass of people perennially playing at church. And of course the people who play at church are the easiest ones to pimp because they never, ever learn.
The words Church & marketing do not sound right together. How does one ‘market’ the blessed hope found in Christ, that brings people to church in the first place without comprimising on something.
Checked out dudes website, no surprises there usual parade of beautiful people., I am surprised he had time for this conference is itenary is jam packed.

“God Chasers” comes from a book and marketing ploy by Tommy Tenney. I haven’t read the book, but I have heard/read enough about him that I’ve crossed him off my reading list. I have kind of lumped him in with Rick Warren and the purpose-driven madness.

I.V Hilliard has a list of PIT’s (Pimps in Training) a mile long on his website. They span the globe. All they have to do to be affiliated with his ministry and call him “mentor” is “financially” support his ministry and share common beliefs. I agree with Tiannah, I have no more patience for this kind of ignorance and I have permenantly checked out of the apostate system people are calling church. I would suggest anyone who truly seeks the truth to do the same.

he was at our church this sunday for our pastors annv. very very disappointed: even my pastor was shocked to hear what was coming out of his mouth: he even stated that the church (his) “gave ” him a Roll Royce for his b-day: stay away from Gary;;;oh by the way his church is less than 2 miles from my house and also the sister church New Mercies ( eddie long strikes again) 1 mile from my house and i will no attend there services:
You’re an idiot. I’m a very close friend of Bishop Hawkins and his wife. They didn’t get a Roll Royce for Bishop’s birthday. Before you run your mouth about things you have no evidence of, try getting proof. Everyone on this site is a joke. Even if the church wanted to buy him that car, why shouldn’t they? People think that pastors should always have little store front churches and be broke. That’s the problem with Christians today. It’s ok for the people to get blessed, but as soon as the pastor or Bishop is blessed, there’s a problem. It’s ok for the pastor or Bishop to give everyone in the church money, pay their bills, etc. but when that stuff starts happening to he/she it’s a problem. The Bible says that you give honor when it’s do. And for your information, most of these preachers aren’t on salary, don’t get money from the church unless it’s pastor’s anniv or a birthday, so where are you getting your info from. These pastors have many businesses outside of the church. For example, Bishop Long owns car dealerships, but I guess you didn’t know that did you? You think these pastors get all of their money from the church. Do you work behind the scenes at the church to know what’s going on? No!!!! All of this mess is a bunch of “he say/she say!!!!”

the tithe was food not money. read deu. 14: 22-29. their was a distinction between the tithe which was food and the silver. And only the Levite
priest was able to receive the tithe because he didn’t work and every three years the tithe which was food was spread out for the poor and the widowed.

I remember when Paula White ran a first fruit scam whereas every year, when you get paid, you send your first paycheck of the year and see prosperity throughout the year. She justified that scam by saying that first fruits is all throughout the bible. I agree that it is always next year with these pimps. There was this visiting preacher in my old church that told the congregation “God is going to excelerate the process in give us our blessing”. Its been two years and I haven’t gotten my good job back for the union said “Sorry, we can’t help you”. I’m not going to dwell on it because I am still blessed in other ways. Things will happen in His own time. True, I am venting but I have never sent money to those tv ministries but paid tithes and offerings in a church. Jer 14:14 says the prophets prophesy lies in my name. Enough said.

the fee was $39.99 b4 a certain date; $49.99 after the deadline.
here is the kicker: the first night of service, the bishop asked the congregation to “sow” a seed and help meet the $100k budget. he asked “sowers” to sow $1000 then $500 then $300, etc…, come down to the microphone, state your name, state your church/location - after you paid your fee, paid your travel arrangements, paid your lodging arrangements! I thought switch and bait was illegal??? the budget was met. my question is where did he “sow” the surplus he may have raised? reinvested in his bank account so that he won’t have to beg next year, paying off the millions of dollars of church debt, to the poor/underprivileged/hungy/sick and shut in/abused/undereducated/homeless/the cold (considering the price of heating and oil) or in his pocket to buy more personal hi priced hi ticketed “stuff”!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

get ready for his Impartation Conference for Senior Pastor’s and First Ladies only March 29, 30 2007…God spoke and gave some wisdom to impart about growing your church (I guess info God left out during October 2007 Marketing your church for growth conference)…you’ll have to call the church for the fee because not publicized on t.v. broadcast wed (ch 57 in Atl) or fri night (word network).
(MN: I called. $100 per person ($200 per couple). It starts with a reception and speech by “Hawking” Hawkins. It starts up again on Friday morning (9:00 Am and continues to 6:00PM. And we still get to come back later in the year and pay $50 per delegate! I feel so blessed to have all these opportunities! )

You have the elite in the corporate world and political world that take care of each other and hang out with each other to discuss ways they can take advantage of the ignorant masses; it is the same in church as well. I bet they all get together and meet secretly and discuss what they are going to preach for the year so they can be in sync to make it seem as if the holy spirit is all leading them in a new Christian movement or season. Just like the elites get together in the secular world. In my opinion these men are getting rich off of the ignorance of the masses just like world corporations do.
If people only read their bibles, they would know that the tithe was food not money, God made a distinction between the two. Plus giving a tithe is old testament law. Please read Deuteronomy 14: 22-29. The tithe is food not money and a old testament law. You don’t see people sacrificing bulls do you.

they haven’t preached anything worth listening to (the same repeat messages) - they just want us to support them.
The are too lazy to study and bring a fresh word. They just want something for nothing.
Also, the sad thing is they don’t want to give the congregation credit or thanx. they want to lie and say god blessed them - no they just manipulate us into giving them money or better yet they just steal our money when they take “first fruits”, get money from cds/dvds/tapes, birthdays, church anniversaries, etc… let’s see how much god continues to bless them if we stop giving!
keep preaching prosperity if they want to and the only members they will end up with are the “i want the pie in the sky” lazy members who want something for nothing, who don’t want to prepare or study, who want promotions on the jobs but are not qualified, etc… why teach people to go after things they are not prepared for - they set us up for failure. this is not of god.
they will eventually lose all the stable members. especially when people find out that they preach the “go into business for yourself” messages so that people can give them more tithes (if they are in business for themselves they will most likely earn more money than working for someone else) or that they mismanage church money the same way that they mismanage money in their personal life. why should we trust them with our hard earned money? They can’t even manage their own finances and then they want to use god to manipulate us into giving to blow our money. I can blow my own money.
My wife attended a church in VA whose pastor is “under” Bishop Gary “Hawk-Man” Hawkins. Not too sure about the whole Rolls-Royce claim. But, I do know that Bishop “Hawk-man” got a bentley from his church. The small church pastor in VA Beach was expecting “Bishop Hawk-man” to come to the church for their pastor-anniversary weekend. The pastor wanted to give “Bishop Hawk-man” an enormous offering, and even mentioned how he wanted to sow a seed ($100) into the gas tank of “Bishop Hawk-man’s” new Bentley.
He then fantasized about how he wanted to get a Mercedes-Benz with cash, because he did not want to be in debt to anyone. This was preached because the banks are symbolic for the devil, and paying with cash is godly.
Sadly, “Bishop Hawk-man” and his family were in a terrible car crash in 2006 in his new Bentley…
Many say that if they were in any other type of car, they would have died….(whatever that is supposed to imply) I guess trying to justify buying a pastor a car that is worth more than many of his members homes to satisfy his Bentley-sized lust for materialism.
When my wife was telling me about this stuff, I was in Pensacola, and I was wondering:
“is this what a pastor in an assembly of redeemed saints, and before a holy God wants to preach about?
He want to preach about cash only payments, sowing seeds in bentleys, fantasize over a new “whip”. Never-the-less, there were hundreds of “Amens” from people who desire the same stuff….
You know I wonder if one of these guys would stand up and actually deny Christ, I KNOW, one of these bobble-head Christians would stand up and yell “Amen”….. why?????

does his church register blacks to vote - especially this election since it will be the first time a black or female became president.
wait until hispanics graduate from high school and college (this current generation) and register to vote and buy property. they will probably have a hispanic president in office before an african american.
