Bro. Sincere, the saved do not need a multitude of sins covered, nor do they need to be saved AGAIN. If that scripture is for the redeemed, then when is the redeemption process complete. Let me tell you, when one accepts Christ as their Lord and Savior. That, my friend settles it. There is no further redemption.

Do you have time and patience to tell Rev. GoLightly and the readers WHY his comments are totally INCORRECT?

Based on his multitude of bible misinterpretations, he has a lot of issues concerning God’s word.

(MN:  Which is why we are pretty much done dealing with arguments about who’s a sinner and who isn’t.  The last couple of comments have an addition by me.  Read them.  We are done with the sinner vs saint discussion.  Either address Arminianism vs Reformed Theology or move on to other post.  Besides, after 80+ postings, I think it’s about time to close this one for comments anyway.  I hope you enjoyed the discussion. )

I believe the reason church folk aren’t appropriately walking in the faith is caused by false teaching.

How? What you believe impacts how you will act. If you’ve been sitting under an Eternal Securist, you’re just like the people in Hosea 4:6a. “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge:” Not knowing the TRUTH of God’s word can lead you to hell.

On Judgment Day when they’re left outside the gate, they can’t say “Ah. Well my pastor taught me that I was eternally saved. So I didn’t have to do nothing. I didn’t know repentance was mandatory.” Then God’s gonna close the gate and say, “Next in line please!”

“Blessed are they that DO his commandments, that they may have RIGHT to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.” (Revelations 22:14)

The way you interpret the bible and what God’s word actually says are 2 different things. Regardless of how many scriptures you quote, the following facts remains true:

1) God is not a liar, and he’s not the author of confusion. Therefore, you can not interpret God’s word in a way that causes you to contradict other scripture passages. That’s ERROR on your part.

2) God’s word does not teach Total Depravity, Unconditional Election, nor the other Points of Calvinism. For details and clarification, visit:

(MN: I don’t have much of a problem of you spewing verses like a fire hydrant. But unless you address some of the argument presented before this, I don’t have much reason to approve your postings. It takes no thought or discernment what so ever to bling regurgitate those verses you have had interpreted for you. JWs do exactly the same thing. Address the argument presented in the posting. Don’t simply say it’s not true. But even before you do that, read the article under the link at the top right hand side of this site. In other words, how about if you present your own argument and not simply mindlessly point to some one else’s work?  Afterall, I didn’t simply quote scripture, I told you what I understood them to mean and why I understood them that way.

Galatians 2:4
And that because of false brethren unawares brought in, who came in privily to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage:

and in Galatians 6:1 it speaks of brethren who make mistakes…

but it does not call them sinners. But notice it does talk about them in degrees, those that are spiritual, those who are not.

Hebrews 10: 12 - 19 tells us that Jesus has done it all.

12But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;

13From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool.

14For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.

(I believe that means us, the brethern and everyone saved…perfected forever sounds good to me)

15Whereof the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us: for after that he had said before,

16This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;

17And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.

(Now considering this was written before I was born, I can only assume He has forgotten my past, present and future sins, and inquities, since I’ve been washed in the blood)

18Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin.

19Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,

( Thank God for the blood, once does it all, not like bulls, once a year, but one dip is all we need)

Brother Sober, when we err, fall short, sin (in the flesh) are we not still covered by the blood once and for all.

And while we’re discussing my Father’s Words… does this scripture have any bearing on much of the discussion on this website;

James 4: 10 - 12

10Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.

11Speak not evil one of another, brethren. He that speaketh evil of his brother, and judgeth his brother, speaketh evil of the law, and judgeth the law: but if thou judge the law, thou art not a doer of the law, but a judge.

12There is one lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy: who art thou that judgest another?

In conclusion, I have reviewed every word (Brethern) in the New testament (190 total) and no where in the New Testament is the word Brethern and sinner used synonymously. Also, the attributes of each word are so opposite in character, that I can only submit, that something happened between the one word in v19 and the other in v 20, and like the first two scriptures in the book of Genesis, whereas we all no something happened between being created in Genesis verse one, to being void in Genesis verse 2, something is amiss between v19 and v20 because a brethern and a sinner are not, and cannot be one and the same. You’re correct IF you understand that initial justification is by FAITH, but continual justification requires “works”. (James 2:14-26) Three times not once GOD used James to say: “faith without works is dead”. (verses 17, 20, 26) God not only meant what He said; He reinforced it multiple times.

The Eternal Securists and other “blind guides” who misunderstood justification either ignore, denounce these passages, or falsely proclaim the person “was never really saved”.

God made it very clear that this was a “salvation” issue when James starting the discourse by saying, “What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not WORKS? can faith SAVE him?” (verse 14)

My mentor Apostle Paul and Jesus was aligned with James when they said:

“But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself WRATH against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous JUDGMENT of God;

6 Who will render to every man according to his DEEDS:

7 To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life:

8 But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and WRATH,” (Romans 2:5-9)

“Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that DOETH the will of my Father which is in heaven.” Matthew 7:21

Since you’re talking about scripture, I’m curious about your background. Are you a Baptist, Calvinist, or Eternal Securist?!

Eternal Securists? That’s a new one on me.

You on the other hand can look up church history and see what the early church fathers had to say on the “doctrines of grace”.

James was addressing the brethren. If you could go to the first chapter for me, you’ll see who he’s been addressing the whole time.

Now can you clarify what the word “brethen” refers to in James 5:19-20. In 1 Corinthians 3, Paul might have been addressing “babes”, but James was not.

The book of James was written to address the problems of those who were already in the FAITH. The Calvinists and Eternal Securists tend to ignore this book because it frequently contradicts their FALSE teachings. 

The Eternal Securist don’t know as much as they think they know. They ignore and can’t comprehend “work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.” Philippians 2:12 They overlook the parable of the 10 virgins and other teachings of Christ.

With Paul’s teachings, they only choose the scriptures they can misread to promote their beliefs.

Because of their belief in “unconditional election”, they’re going to end up like the 5 “foolish virgins”. They’ll be caught unprepared and left behind UNLESS they make a major change….

Can you clarify your statements: “If there is warning and you don’t adhere to yes your spirt will be with the lord! condemned to hell.” So that I may understand what you meant.

I also believe you’re full of heresy. You have not proven that the “brethen” in James 5:19-20 were not born again Christians.

I can tell by your comments you’ve been tainted by that FALSE Calvinism doctrine. You speak as if you have authority, but your beliefs are full of ERRORS.

I’m not going to waste time arguing with someone with such lack of knowledge.

I never even alluded to the thought that I have something better to offer anyone. I can only offer the gospel. The true gospel, not a distorted one.

You say thank goodness that God looks at the heart. Tell me, what does He see when He looks at it? Wickedness! So we must test everyone by the Word of God, and if that person doesn’t come with the gospel delivered once for all to the saint, let them be anathama.

But I appreciate the humility of your posts, and I only hope that I can do the same.

The word says that man looks at the outer appearance but God looks at the heart and what you put in your heart is what flows from your lips. If we put the appearance of man in our heart and his worldly achievements void of giving to those in lack then his defense will flow from our mouth or if we bind the word of God to our heart then his word will warn others of what the word says in every situation and truth will flow from our lips and the lack in the life of the real poor people will be met by God through us not and not some one who pretend to be helping others based on their rules. The truth that you need to pray about is what category do you fall under, a conformed or transformed?   Peace.

If you walk in darkness Satan has the right to destroy the flesh, but he has NO authority over the spirit of a righteous man. So rob your bank, should you could get shot (the flesh satan will destroy) and if you die and you’re saved, your spirit (belongs to the Lord). Paul also distinguishes the diferrences between the natures of man, Natural, Carnal, and Spiritual found in

15But he that is spiritual (man) judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.

1And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual (men), but as unto carnal (men), even as unto babes in Christ.

2I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able.

3For ye are yet carnal (men): for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?

Or as Natural men or men who are not saved. In these few verses you have the three states of man, Natural, Carnal, Spiritual.
I appreciate your opinions, but I don’t play with words and upon further review of my other comment, I believe the truth will be clear. PS.
