David,
I don't know why I am attempting this, but here it goes:

Gal. 1:6-8 states:
6I am amazed that you are so quickly deserting Him who called you by the grace of Christ, for a different gospel;
7which is really not another; only there are some who are disturbing you and want to distort the gospel of Christ.

8But even if we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel contrary to what we have preached to you, he is to be accursed!
The different gospel that is being preached is not the trinity, (there is a lot of great info on Ready4 change's post) it is stuff like "seed faith" and harmful legalistic teaching (Like certain "oneness" groups) that supresses women, makes everyone miserable, and does great harm to the image of christians trying to witness their faith. I never see Melvin or anyone else on this site "cursing" people like Benny Hinn, Juanita Bynum, Paula White, Paul Crouch, just exposing what they say. Why do all these folks get a pass from you?? I know you are going to say "touch not God's annointed", but the scripture says to let false teachers be accursed. I would be willing to bet you have never sent an email to any word faith teachers like Kenneth Copeland, Jesse Duplantis, or Cashflow Dollar. Why do false teachers who are leading MILLIONS astray get away with it??? Many of us (like me ) that contribute here have been through many of these false teachings and are trying to help others. So before you come back and criticize me or anyone else here, tell me how you can defend the pimps!

(MN: Ah! A new person to the site with the usual litany of bogus accusations. I haven't had a chance to step through this in a while. )

Greetings..... If I was a new Christian, after looking at this whole site would drive me right out the church. Rather than trying to Kill one another by "exposing" peoples dirt JESUS teaches to pray for them and help them. (MN: Generally, no one is "exposing" people's dirt. I am simply bringing to your attention what they teach. They proudly publicize the things they teach. ) Its funny how we like pointing at other people as if we ourselves dont have dirt about us that God cant bring out. (MN: No one is bringing out dirt. I am pointing out what they teach proudly, leading saints to destruction. ) If we in fact are SO HOLY them why is it that your wasteing time bashing other people... you mean to tell me that this is Christian Conduct. (MN: Not bashing others. But I am doing what Jesus instructed us to do, what he did, what Paul instrcted us to do, what Peter instructed us to do, and what John instructed us to do.) If you were in the church and someone there upset you I wish you would get delivered. Because all your doing is contaminating the body of Christ with this gossip and trash...(MN: Please show me the gossip. All information is taken from their sites, their statments, their material that they send out to people. It's not "secret" stuff. It's not things they don't want others to know. It's not stuff they are in any way ashamed of. How is any of this gossip or dirt? IF it is dirt - that is, if you consider the stuff they are sying to be terribly wrong, why are you defending them since you clearly think what they are saying is wrong? ) ) weather or not its true matters not... but I dont believe god sent you to this earth to curse other people lives (MN: No one is cursing their lives. God, in Galatians 2 has already pronmounced the accursed for preaching another gospel. ) by what your doing..... I hope you dont think that God will say well done to you when you get to heaven...IF you get there. (MN: I certaily do. It's you and your willingness to allow the pimps to operate unfettered that I'm concerned about. )

(MN: And the rest of this rant show why this person would say the things they said above. These are the people we should be most concerned about. These are the folks who walk in a religion rather than a relationship with Jesus Christ. And many of these are the prime victims of the pimps. These are the people we should pray for and the people we should work at equipping ourselves to minister to.

Yes, it's a lot like trying to clean up a fouled, drugged up homeless person, but they are some of the main ones we have to be willing to help.

You can clearly see that David is fairly arrogant, convinced of his own righteousness earned by his own goodness, and without a clue as to the nature of God. )

Now as far as this goes...... I must burst your bubble by telling tou that the Trinity has never been birthed out of TRUE Christian Faith. NEVER. Jesus nor the Apostles never taught such a thing. The Trinity Formula only came in the Second Century at the founding of the Roman Catholic Church... who we know are not a True Christian Church because many of what Paul told Timothy to beware of... is going on in that group. Writen History backs up this theory. That the doctrin of the Trinity was never taught by the True Church, but infact was only taught by the Cathiolic church that inturn Forced others to believe the same things. along with thier pagan practices, chants and IDOLS.

(MN: Ladies and gentlemen, just so you don't think I make this stuff up, here is the youth pastor from Greater Grace [Mixed With Works] Temple, Michael Nimmons. Looks like we're hitting the semi-big times here people! )

I would like to respond to Mr. Melvin Jones whose posted comments regarding Greater Grace Temple and the Ecumenical Goat prompted me to write. Firstly, I would like to address your obvious Trinitarian beliefs and how they are inconsistent with anything in the Word of God. I am a Apostolic Pentecostal believer, and I subscribe to the "Oneness" doctrine of which you vehemently disagree with. However, every scripture in the Bible where Trinitarians use to draw reference to support their beliefs have been interpreted wrong. One of the more popular scriptures Trinitarians use to separate the "Godhead" is Matthew 28:19. Where Jesus tell his disciples upon his acesenion that ye are to go into the all the world, and preach the gospel...."baptizing in the name of the Father, Son & the Holyghost." What is missed in this scripture is the most pivotal word in this sentence, which give credence to the "Oneness" doctrine. And, that is "the name" The name of the Father, the name of the Son, & the name of the Holyghost is "Jesus." There is no other way to interpret this scripture. And, if you still question, how one God can be the embodiment of all three of these manisfestions-note the word "manisfestion" and not deities, look up I Timothy 3:16, where Paul let's Timothy know, "16And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory."

Another thing you are confused about is the "Oneness" doctrines perspective on the "godhead" we do recognize the Three manisfestation of the "One" God. God-The Father, God-the Son & God the Holy-Spirt. However, these three are not separate but they are in fact one in the same person, whose name is Jesus. A better way to appreciate the godhead is to look at each as Titles. And, while each title is significant in and of itself, the name of the deity who holds the titles is where the true power lies. Just as I am a "Father", a Son, and a Husband to my wife, these are three titles which I hold, these titles do not separate me into three different people, but I am still one person who responds to one name and my name is Michael. So, if in a crowded room you wanted to get my attention, you wouldn't yell out "Father" or "Husband" because every man who is a Father and a Husband would respond. But, if you really wanted to get my attention you would call me by name.

I hope I have shed some light on the Trinitarian viewpoint and the "Oneness" doctrine. As far as the Pastor's & Church Leader's Conferences are concerned, if co-laborers in the vineyard cannot fellowship together and break bread together dispite our differences regarding the gospel message, then what are in the ministry for. God never gave himself to one person, one ministry, or one particular doctrine. (MN: Taking what you say out to a reasonable conclusion, I have to assume you have no problem "ministering" with Jehovah's Witnesses since it's just a silly old doctrinal difference we're dealing with - right? ) And, there are problems that exist with every ministry out there, because first and foremost we all are human. No one is perfect, although we should be striving toward perfection. In the meantime, what better way to hone on our imperfections than to come together and discuss them collectively and try to come to a uniform conclusion. (MN: How do you compromise between Oneness and Trinitarianism? Say there are really one and a half persons? ) That's what these conferences are all about. And, furthermore if you have attended the conference the year that flier was created you would have learned that Prophetess Juanita Bynum was not able to come, and more workshops and seminars were conducted than those, which you seem to have lifted off a one-dimensional flier. I think your opinion would hold a little bit more weight if you attended the conference. At least then we all would know for sure that you're completely off-base.

Feel free to comment on anything I've written or e-mail at yp@cwcyouth.org.

(MN: First set of questions: If there is only one person there, who gave the Son? Who was the Son with? Who has the Son loved? How can Jesus talk about "My Father" if there is no other person? )

LOL! This is funny. I talked with 5%ers before, Nuwaubians, and Nation of Islam(s) members (there are sects of the Nation of Islam, Farrakhan's is not the only one) before. They all "believe" in the same things, or similar I should say.

5%ers think Clarence Jowar Smith is God. He was killed in the slums of Harlem in the 60s. He didn't like Elijah Muhammad's teachings so he was booted and therefore started teaching "lessons" (these lessons are laughable) outside of the mosque to non registered members (you have to be registered in an N.O.I. MOSQUE to get lessons).

The whole point is he taught all the black men they are gods (even while smoking weed, cussing, having sex with anything that moves, drinking, being immoral, etc.) and women are earths (I guess he got that from the pagan idea of mother earth).

Basically the black men in this group, gang, organization, or whatever are their own gods and the women worship the men as earths. They deal in numerologically talking (building) on lessons and they have no leader.

Talk about being away from the Bible and religion as a whole. They are just lost, yet they say we are lost. If anyone wants to know more I will be happy to talk to your through email about this foolishness and show you what exactly they follow because I really do know.

As A Baptist Myself I do not understand the association either. The "Pastor" of True Vine Missionary Baptist Church here in Toledo Ohio did not even know that Noel Jones, Thomas Weeks III, T.D. Jakes, and Charles H. Ellis, III were even Ones Pentecostal. I asked him if it mattered and he said it does because (as Melvin Jones says) it is the corner stone of Christianity, Christian History and Christian Doctrine. I am a Baptist (not full Gospel), but what you should understand Melvin is that Full Gospel Baptist is not really "Baptist". It's creation from the mind of Paul Sylvester Morton that was made to "look" Baptist but be this "separate" fellowship (denomination) outside but inside the idea of the "Baptist" church (click on the link or here). If that makes any sense. So because he created the idea himself it doesn't bother him to associate with the Oness movement, or any other movement for that matter.

P.S.

I still hope you post some more stuff on Juanita "Bind Em" Bynum "Weeks". Her and her so called "Husband" are teaching sexual things in their church now and it is really disgusting. Did you listen to what I sent you?

(MN: I did indeed. I'm trying to figure out how best to package it. You KNOW I can't just give a straight presentation. What would be the challenge of that? )

"Increase your church revenue"
"Set up and sucessfully run a bookstore"

These are the very first "bullet points" on the presented flyer. What's the purpose of increasing the Church's revenue? Why do they need a bookstore? I'm asking these questions with the hope that you will provide me with a suitable explanation. You pointed out that they have a prison ministry, outreach ministry...

How/Why is it they these pastors are the only ones prospering? I would like to hear at least one bonafide testimony from a member of one of these churches declaring that the methods/teachings/principles/steps being taught by these people has helped them miraculously gain monetary wealth. I say monetary because that's generally all they preach about.
I don't think my request is too far out there. I think it's pretty reasonable considering Acts 4:42-47.

"They devoted themselves to the apostles' teachings and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe, and many wonders and miraculous signs were done by the apostles. ALL the believers were together and had EVERYTHING in common. Selling their possessions and goods, they GAVE to anyone as he had need. Everyday they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved."

To the Body of the Lord Jesus Christ, a.k.a., the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit: HEAR YE! HEAR YE! HEAR YE! This is true manifestation of the occurrence at the Tower of Babel, and concerning this person's walk in life: "Even when the fool walks along the road his sense is lacking, and he demonstrates to everyone that he is a fool." Ecclesiastes 10:3

Brother, you need to learn some history. The Trinity was NOT INVENTED IN 325 AD.

The Council at Nicea was not called to invent doctrine........it was called as a response to HERESY, that the whole Body might CONFIRM THAT WHICH WAS ACCEPTED ALREADY as Truth from the earliest days of the Church.

That said, the fact that a Council called to refute heresy by codifying the Truth delivered once to the saints (as a bulwark against further heresy) had to include a refutation of the Oneness heresy should tell you a couple of things.

Since the Council met to refute HERESY...........and they refuted Oneness.......Oneness was deemed heretical by the gathered Bishops of the universal church.

Trinitarianism wasn't "invented" in 325.........Oneness was rejected as heresy in 325, and the Trinity confirmed as the universal belief of the Body corporate since the days of the Apostles.

History tells us it was modalism (incipient Oneness doctrine) in the late second and early third century that gave the church the impetus to search the Scriptures to see what the apostles believed on Gods nature. We find such men as Irenaeus, Hippolytus, later Athanasius and many others structuring their faith on the nature of God in unqualified Trinitarian expressions. God would use these expressions to help the church grow mature and stable.

The modalistic concept was ALWAYS treated as heresy in the church, as were numerous other distortions of the nature of God. Epiphanius, who was also a defender of the triune nature of God states that " they derived their entire heresy from certain Apocryphal books, especially from the Gospel of the Egyptians" ( Schaff-Herzog religious encyclopedia).

All this occurred ONE HUNDRED AND THIRTY YEARS before the council of Nicaea, when a new challenge was from a man named Arius who claimed Christ was a created being . His challenge was met by a person named Alexander and his then deacon Athanasius, who proved from scripture that the Son was of the same substance as the Father, being co-equal.

Some of the statements made by Oneness adherents are very revealing...... for example,

"The variety and diversity of God's self revelation forces him (God) to use language that may seem to imply plurality of individuals, but if such is accepted literally the effect would be a belief in a plurality of Gods." (Godhead K. Reeves p.51-52)

With this logic we would end up saying Jesus had to be two separate persons a human and divine since according to them two or three cannot in any sense be one. It is this attitude that is necessary to be countered by sensible explanations . Without it we can never move forward to help those involved in understanding the historic Christian position.

Again my brother, your knowledge of history is appalling.........which of course leads directly to your appalling grasp of theology.

While I can not comment on the charachter of the minsters attacked above, I do find the attack on Oneness Pentecostal's MOST offensive. The truth of the matter is that it is utter nonsense to say that one who rejects the TRINITY invented in 325AD at the Council of Nicea - over 300 years after Christ - has rejected Christianity. The Christianity of the Bible is based in the strictly Monotheistic Judahism of the Bible which teaches only ONE God (Deut 6v4). 2 Tim 3:16 tells us that it was the ONE God who manifested in flesh as the Son to save us - and in John Jesus says He is the Comforter who was with the disciples and shall be in them - fulfilled in Acts 2:4 at Pentecost. TRINITY doctrine has developed over the centuries and is NOT a foundation of the bible. Oneness believe in the Father, Son & Holy Ghost in the biblical sense - that there is but ONE God who is the Father in Creation, is the Son who redeems us and is the Holy Ghost - but HE IS the same ONE God - not 3 seperate and distinct Persons. So to accuse someone who says that Jesus is God and in Him dwells all the fulness of the Godhead bodily, who believes that the Word was and Is God and reverences the Name of Jesus above every other has rejected Christianity is NONSENSE. We are Holy Ghost Jesus name people and if you say we are hell bound that's alright! As long as we got Jesus and we are living Holy - THAT's ALRIGHT!!!!
(MN: But which Jesus do you have? The Jesus of the Bible or the Jesus of the Oneness folks? The two are not the same. After all, I do believe that, in general, most of you suggest that the Son did not exist until Jesus was born. But there are other issues as well. )

It doesn't make a difference to us. But it does make a difference to God. He says you are not to support those who teach another Gospel (Jude). He says we should stay away from those who pervert the Gospel.

If you want to disobey this, it's your business. My job is just to make sure you know you are disobeying and give you the opportunity to turn away from the pimps and the wolves.

Why would you not only spend money you could use better someplace else, but spend money and get God upset with you?

By the way, it's not an effort to promote unity. Usually, the truth is the first cacualty in those kinds of efforts.

"What Is The Apostolic Doctrine?"

The word "doctrine" means "teaching or truth." It is impossible to teach the Bible without teaching doctrine. Doctrine is the form, and beauty to the message we proclaim.

The word "Apostolic" comes from "Apostles" and is used in reference to the teaching of the Apostles. It carries the definition of the "teachings of the Apostles as they were instructed by Jesus." In it's simpliest understanding it means "Oneness." (I Corinthians 15:1-9)

Therefore the Apostolic Doctrine is the "teaching of the Apostles as they were trained and equipped by the Lord Jesus Christ."

Importance:

Acts 2:42 - continued in the Apostles Doctrine.

I Timothy 4:13 - Attendance to doctrine.

I Timothy - 4:16 To thy doctrine.

I Timothy - 5:17 labour in the word and doctrine.

II Timothy 3:16 - Profitable for doctrine.

II Timothy 4:2 - Longsuffering and doctrine.

II John 9 - Abideth not in the doctrine of Christ.

Hebrews 6:1 - Leaving the principles of the doctrine.

Romans 6:17 - obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine.

So, remember the principles in understanding doctrine:

1. Truth cometh by Divine Revelation - Matthew 16:13-17

2. Next to the Holy Ghost, Scripture is the best interprter of the Bible. (Line upon line, precept upon precept)

3. Truth is in agreement with the whole tenor of Scripture. Doctrine should never be based on 1 isolated passage of scripture UNLESS that doctrine is at the same time in harmony with the entire Bible.

4. Truth is always well balanced and sound. Extreme points of view are more likely to be in error than middle of the road belief.

5. Truth always exalts Christ. Any teaching that leaves out Christ or degrades Jesus is erroneous.

6. The doctrine of Jesus Christ is "immutable" This means that there is no true doctrine apart from that taught by the Apostles and there is the great necessity of continuing steadfastly in the Apostles Doctrine.

7. You must have a healthy hunger to know truth for the sake of truth alone. You must KNOW and HOLD to it.

*NOTE*

STUDY. It is an act of obedience. (Study please study)

You know what's interesting about this......if this is an effort to promote unity amongst people of different beliefs to allow God to show up and reveal things concerning his nature ...it's being "Butchered" by many opinionated understandings. Nobody makes me give anything or forces me to pay tithes etc; But, there are many who give money to wordly things that do not edify. I've seen these individuals in person, on television, video tape, and DVD and if I was blessed by their words ...what difference does it make to any of you who I give my money to?

ITs almost like the question, why do bad thing happen to good people? or better yet, why do good things happen to bad people?

I defer to the fact that God is soveriegn and his thoughts are higher than ours. Where mortals sight is limited, God is all knowing and sees all.

So, I would suggest that it all fits perfectly into God's ultimate plan. However, just like God could snap his finger and make this place the garden of eden, He could crumble all of the false teachers. God chooses not to, but still wants you and I to avoid them. God could make everyone obey him, but he chooses not to, but he still wants us to evangelize. Likewise, he could rid the earth of all pimps and pimpettes, but he chooses not to. However, he still expects us to warn against them.

I think it has something to do with freewill, grace, faith, and all that stuff...

How about this:
Why are these pimps/pimpettes still in existance at all? There are examples in the Bible of people who went against God, who were struck down for doing so. What makes it possible for these pimps to even exist?

And as a side question, do you think any one at all is healed or delivered in the "services" of these so-called pimps?
