I just got a series of e-mails from a fan. The subject was “Hell is Waiting for You.”
Here’s an excerpt of the text of one of his little love letters:
You need to be afraid of the wrath of God that is on your life-taking time out to talk such evil things about the Men and Women of God.
YOU have legions of demons that need to be cast out- AFTER you find the Lord FOR REAL. Evidently you have issues within yourself, and low self-esteem problems, because you are really hating on Pastor Bryant. I am going to pray God expose your mess, and bring you to your knees, that you will repent.
This is very serious what you are doing, you have a spirit of the anti-christ. I come against every demonic force in your life, and I snatch every set-up from the enemy out of the atmosphere. I pray that what you sowed into this Man of God’s life you shall reap 100 fold. You have been assigned by Lucifer himself to tear down great ministries-you are sitting up on your computer listening to the voice of satan-you have no relationship with MY HEAVENLY FATHER. Because he exemplifies love, and not division.
If you think you got it goin on, why dont you start Pastoring, and then we can talk about if you can do it better than everybody else.
I put this up (after getting his permission), because I want you to see again one of the types of people pimps like the right reverend Bryant are taking advantage of. I can’t get upset with the guy. He obviously is not too tightly connected to THIS world, at least not in terms of Christianity.
My greatest anger is toward people like the right reverend Bryant because they are more than willing to egg these people on. As a result, they never develop into strong, vibrant Christians. Instead, they remain less than little children, playing at religion and helping the pimps give authentic Christianity a bad rap.
But to the observation. I noticed in his entire warning, my fan referenced only the things that came to him, never Scripture. Except of course for the touchstone of these poor wretches - “Touch not my anointed and do my prophets no harm.” It may be somewhat obvious to you, but it is becoming more and more obvious that these poor schleps are completely clueless, meat on the hook waiting to be consumed. Like the Jehobah’s Witnesses, they only know the Scripture their “teachers” give them and it only means what their teachers tell them it means. What a waste.
I don’t know who I feel sorrier for - the mislead, who are wasting their lives, or the misleaders, who are going to have so much to answer for at the bema seat (or the Great White Throne).

I don’t think the “haters” out there realize the seriousness of their accusations. If you are demon possed, etc, then these people are calling all of us who agree w/you [not you, but what the Word says] who claim to be believers liars, demon posessed, etc also.
They also claim that we are causing “division” in the Body of Christ, simply by pointing out errors in the doctrine of these pimps. It’s not just errors, but outright lies, and I personally believe most of them know better. They just get caught up in the “cult of personality” and begin to believe the lie that their ministry is so important, that they will twist scripture and do anything else to preserve their lifestyles.
Melissa, Alando, myself, and you, among many others have given testimonies about how we were caught up in various false doctirnes/word faith/charismatc situations and have used tons of scripture as well as anecdotes, (canary and cow pie rules!!) and it has no effect. Just today a man named Dean Kimlbe has defended the practice of “giving to get,” which is nothing more than a” christian” multi-level marketing scheme, where those on the top reap most of the benefits. (I apologize to all you readers, but I get emotional and start to “bloviate”)
A challenge to all you “haters”: without name calling, threats, “revelations”, and quoting TBN shows, can you use the BIBLE to make your points??!!

In 2002 when I published my first book and launched the e-letter The Apostolic Teacher, my very first article was entitle The Simple or Deceived. I must say, it’s worst than I could have ever imagined.
If Paul warned us of those who seek to deceive, and sounded the alarm so that others would be on look out for such deceivers, then I supose he was a devil too.
Rev. Akon is right. I notice that those who being decieved, never back their support of the deceiver with scripture. If they do, how they use it demonstrats just how deceived they are.
The Bible tells us in Deuteronomy 11:16 to, “Take heed to yourselves, that your hearts be not deceived.” (KJV)

Why do people always refer to Old Testament scriptures when talking about physical riches? If this is how God chooses to bless His people in all ages, why not toss in some passages from Acts or 1 Corinthians or Philippians?
I can tell you as a former member of ET that Jamal Bryant is looked upon as a highly annointed savior to the poor black people of Baltimore.People really get excited and worked up with phrases like”Preach Black Man”when he is trying to drive a point home.The problem is that if he were to say Jesus was the spirit brother of Lucifer and followed with that phrase people would eat it up.I was supposed to go to bible study as a new member a few months ago but I had some concerns with his affiliation with TD Jakes,Creflo,and TBN.When we had an apostolic bishop preach for bible study in October I knew that at the very least JB lacked discernment but now I have to count him as a false teaching ear tickler.I expect him to outgrow the AME denomination like Cherry and ET to become a full fledged WF christian center.As a backsliding christian I am far from perfect and I struggle everyday to get right but I cannot sit and watch this mess continue.I have been criticized for speaking out wehn I hardly go to church myself and have been told countless times that christians should not tear each other down.I hope people get the message and seek the true living God instead of all of these gimmicky theologies.

I can guarantee you a complete lack of growth if you hang around by yourself or around tired half-steppers who want to wallow in hyper-criticality. And each day will be irretrievably lost with respect to investing your life in the Kingdom and growing as a Christian.
Generally, the only way you can grow is by trying to minister to the monkeys that make up the church (people like me, the guy sitting next to me on any Sunday morning, and the fellow standing behind the lecturn. Most of us can be so irritating sometimes, that the only thing you can do is depend on God to develop the love for us. With Christ, all things are possible.
The unanswered question:
I have asked this at least four times on this website to those who defend the WF/prosperity doctine. They haven’t even had the fortitude ( or as Melvin would say, ‘nads) to postulate an answer.
What about the faithful underground believers in China, Sudan, and other places? They are all dirt poor, and our mega-churches would rival anything in their wildest imaginations. They are persecuted for thei faith, either by Communism, or radical (not so radical, really) Islam. Does God love them less than the American christians? Observation, Bobby, Dean, you better understand that we have it as good as we do becuase of HIS GRACE. And what will you do if our American Empire loses some of its wealth and riches?

His whole ministry is based on raising up “nationals” to spread the gospel. Also Kim Clement prophesied to your boy Paul Crouch and told him to beam the gospel to the middle east as his final assignment. TBN is broadcast in China. It is through the satellites that the gospel is reaching the ends of the earth. When you bash TBN, you bash Gods work. Your boy Benny Hinn ministers to more people than any other man on earth. I have a question for observation: How do you know that what Morris Cerullo, Benny Hinn, Paul Crouch and all the others are doing is God’s work? What can you point to and say this is how you know that this is God’s work? What scriptures would you use to validate those things? As this has been mentioned on this site by MJ, just because you do something nice and worth while doesn’t make it from God or does not say that God is involved.
The Jehovah’s witnesses do some good things and so do the Mormons and a host of others. Does this mean that their work is God’s handy work as well? We can’t just look some good things that they may do and assume that this is from God. What about all of the other things that they do and say that does not line up with SCRIPTURE!! What about that?
Please let scripture be the final authority. 1Jn. 4:1 tells us to test or examine the spirits to see whether or not they are from God. They were warned because the false prophets were around at that time as well.

I am currently in college. I am 19 yrs old. I was formerly a member of the apostolic faith (primitive) church. I am currently a member of a nondenominational church that preaches the truth and a pastor who knows that they are not God but only a servant and messenger of his goodness.
My pastor has taught and is teaching me how to study the word and to learn the ways of God by seeking HIM and no one else. One thing that bothered me is that the people listened to the pastor more than trying to establish a relationship with God. I disagree with the person who sent that message. That was TOO abrasive and they were trying to scare you.
The bible says that we are justified by FAITH, meaning that if we are authentic, GOD will prove us if we face opposition, not only that but the word of God says, Recompense to no man evil for evil, for God will avenge you.
So, if they got that angry it is time for them to evaluate themselves. It’s time for the body of Christ to come to CHRIST and not man. Also to stop running people down to get a word, and just READ the word. People go to church just to see a preacher not to commune with God and worship Him.
Of course I know that these self glorificaton mega ministries are shortlived because the Bible says in the end only the word shall stand and if the word of God is not in you, you will fall and yo’ pastor will also if the word isn’t in them. Just quoting scriptures isn’t enough, but you have to allow the word to change you and your sinful character and behavior. For the bible says, Be not conformed, but be ye TRANSFORMED by the renewing of your minds.
Also, this christian journey is tedious and is meant to be traveled alone, because when you stand before God to be judged only you can give an account for your deeds, not your pastor or religious leader or even you Mr. Brown.

In Sheneka’s attempt at “flowery words of man’s wisdom,” I didn’t see one reference to chapter and verse from the Word of God that she couldn’t [even] allude to. Where is Romans 15:4 in this diatribe? Where are the words of instruction from the mouth of God? God does not change, is the same yesterday, today, and forever, and since there is nothing new under the sun, as God appointed Ezekiel a watchman to the house of Israel, so has HE appointed MN a watchman to the Body of Christ Jesus–who is the head of the true Church.
Because the time is much shorter now than from the day we all first believed, MN had better be true to his calling: “…whenever you hear a word from My mouth, warn them from ME. When I say to the wicked, ‘You shall surely die’; and you do not warn him or speak out to warn the wicked from his wicked way that he may live, that wicked man shall die in his iniquity, but his blood I will require at your hand. Yet if you have warned the wicked, and he does not turn from his wickedness or from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but you [MN] have delivered yourself.” The reason this word applies to True Believers today is recorded in Acts 18:5-10. Paul, devoting himself completely to the Wrd, testified to the Jews that Jesus was the Christ. But the Jews resisted and blasphemed him (just like the ignorant and unlearned religious zealots of today do MN). Paul proceeded to shake out his garments and informed those Jews, “Your blood be upon your own heads! I am clean. From now on I shall go to the Gentiles.” [We are Gentiles.]
And the Lord said to Paul by a vision [HE speaks to different ones of HIS children in different ways.]: “Do not be afraid…but go on speaking and do not be silent, for I am with you….” So Melvin, stay obedient to your calling, for our God is with you; besides, this momentary light affliction is producing for you an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison. 2 Corinthians 4:17 Agape!
Let me just say this, to those of you who are saying it is wrong to speak against preachers like Jamal Bryant, T.D Jakes, Creflo and others who distort the word of God: READ YOUR BIBLE, from start to finish. When you do you will read in 2 Sam. 12:1-15 where Nathan rebukes David for sleeping with Bathsheeba and then putting him on the front line of battle so that he would get killed. Or better yet, just read the gospels, all 4 of them. Jesus was rebuking people all over the place. He rebuked the Sadducees and Pharisees and even called them “a brood of vipers.” Read and study God’s Word for yourself and stop placing the care of your eternal soul in the hands of preachers who have somehow gone astray before it’s too late. Because I would hate for the day to come when you will be sitting and talking to someone and they suddenly disappear and you realize that, because of your refusal to listen to the truth, you have been left behind to face the wrath of the anti-christ. GOD IS HOLY! and as He said in Lev. 10:3 “By those who come near me, I must be regarded as Holy! READ THE WORD!
