The Mormons present a Jesus who is the son of God. But that god’s name is Adam. Would you expect someone exercising faith in this Jesus to receive salvation?
The Jehovah’s Witnesses teach that Jesus is a created being, not God. Would you expect someone exercising faith in this Jesus to receive salvation?
Christian Science teaches that there is no sin, only errors in perception. Their Jesus is a man who understood this. Would you expect someone exercising faith in this Jesus to receive salvation?
I trust you answered “no” to each of these. If you answered “yes” to any of them, I can understand why you would have no difficulties with some of the things being taught by supposed Christian teachers and preachers. After all, it’s just doctrine. And doctrine isn’t that important.
If you answered “no” to all of these, then you should also be concerned about some of the things the pimps out there teach.
For example, Cashflow teaches that Jesus is the first born again man. You got that? Take a look at his site and check it out for yourself. It’s near the bottom of the webpage, item D.3.
In that same section, Dollar also says Jesus was begat after suffering in hell for three days and as a result was raised from the dead.
Here, on the other hand, is what the Bible says in Luke 23:43. The day Jesus died physically; he was in Paradise - Abraham’s Bosom. It wasn’t a couple or three days later. It was that day. Now I never went to logic school, but it seems to me that “this day you will be with me in Paradise” is not the same as “he suffered in hell for three days.” And it also seems that both of these little tidbits can’t be true simultaneously. They are, as the logician says, mutually exclusive. You have to choose one or the other, but you can’t have both. And since the Bible SAYS He was in Paradise and not hell, the choice shouldn’t be that difficult.
If your pastor tries to Jenkins you by saying “It depends on the meaning of the word Paradise,” then you will know immediately that you are being pimped. Your pastor is either not interested in what the Bible actually says, or he doesn’t have a clue, following Cashflow because of the cash flow. And either way, you should get out of there as quickly as possible.
Fred Price and others teach that Jesus’ death on the cross didn’t pay for our sins. If that were so, they continue, then their death on the cross could have paid the price. They say that sin is spiritual and so Jesus had to die and suffer spiritually (in hell) to pay for our sins, which are spiritual.
Unfortunately, the Bible says:
· Romans 5:10 , We were reconciled through the death of His Son, not through the spiritual death and spiritual suffering of His Son
· Ephesians 2:16 , We were reconciled through the cross, not through suffering in hell for three days
· Colossians 1:20-22 , We were reconciled through His blood on the cross, not through His suffering in hell for our sins.
Uh-oh. There’s that pesky conundrum of trying to have something both ways. The Bible clearly says Jesus’ death on the cross paid for our sins. The pimps say His suffering in hell paid for it. Which one should we believe? The fellow who is trying to pimp you or the Bible? Again, they are mutually exclusive , they can’t both be true at the same time.
If the pimps were promoting the idea of having communion on the first Sunday instead of the fourth Sunday, or if they were saying we should use grape juice instead of real wine, I wouldn’t give a rat’s tail about them. But like the Mormons, the JWs and a host of other Christian wannabes, they are redefining Jesus and salvation. They are redefining the Gospel. And they are trying very hard to pass as orthodox Christians.
The Gospel, in a nutshell, says the Son of God died on the cross to pay the price for our sins. The Word of Faith Pimps say the Son of God suffered in hell to pay for our sins.
They aren’t the same. They are different. And the Bible says those who present a different gospel, which really isn’t a gospel at all, are accursed. If your pastor is promoting these teachings (suffering in hell, cross not sufficient, etc) and he can’t give you a good defense and insists you accept it anyway, you’re being pimped and you need to get the heck out of Dodge.
People who receive the false Jesus of the Mormons are deceived, lost; putting their faith in a false Jesus.
People who receive the false Jesus of the JWs are deceived, lost; putting their faith in a created being.
And sadly, people putting their faith in the Jesus of the Word of Faith pimps are deceived, lost; putting their faith in a false Jesus.
And the sad thing is these people will likely die deceived, dead in their sins. And you, by sitting around and saying nothing, are like the watchman who sits and refuses to sound his warning when the enemy comes rushing in.
You think I’m a little too picky? Hey, narrow is the way, people. Narrow is the way.
Great post!
Keep em’ coming!!!
Melvin, you remind me of a modern day version of Jeremiah. See Jer. 23. Also, it’s always encouraging to see you stand by the courage of your conviction bro.
By the way, here is a little challenge for your viewing audience.

I enjoy your site even though I have not posted…keep pursuing truth!
(Melvin’s Note: It is definitely encouraging when you let me know. Thanks. )
Melvin,
Oh yes, so narrow is the way, so clear and so wonderous if one will just walk it. Are not you being a bit picky here with this Bible thing?? After all; “it’s the Bible that screwed up the church in the first place”. OOPS, sorry Fred Price, I got it wrong, It’s supposed to be “doctrine”.
Or is it ? That is what these pimps really want to say and in a few years they may. Just like the catholic priests would tell us during my 12 years of catholic education; we will interpret the Bible for you, you need not waste time reading it.
A brother and I went to Rick Warren’s Saddleback church (sic) as part of our research for John Colemans Saturday web cast (every Saturday) on the church growth movement. Of the 5,000 people there we saw a grand total of 2 Bibles! The band in the church was playing Chuck Berry’s “Johnnie be good”.
So what’s the problem here ….quit being so picky here Melvin; we don’t need no stinkin’ Bible, we don’t need no stinkin’ doctrine.
Praise His beautiful gospel. Keep up the great work. You and Pastor John Coleman are a part of my everday education on His holy word.
Alfred,
Excellent analysis! This ministry has in a short time become an essential part of my day, as I find myself here on a Sat. afternoon with 20 degree above normal temperatures plugging away to see if anything new is on here. There is definitely a market for this site as many of us who were pimped have “seen the light.”
Question. Which translation are you refering to? Or are you using a version? In many bible versions, Jesus’ reply to the evildoer has been miss rendered. Needs a coma. “Truly I tell you today, you will be will me in paradise.” Changes the emphasis. Biblical scholars and translators have noted this error. Change it to “Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise.” Meaning is totally different.
King David And The Apostle Peter Speaking Concerning Christ:
1. Jesus “Soul” Went Into Hell:
Psalms 16:10 - For thou wilt not leave my “soul” in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.
Acts 2:27 - Because thou wilt not leave my “soul” in hell, neither will thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.
Acts 2:31 - He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of the Christ, that His “soul” was not left in hell, neither His flesh did see corruption.
2. Jesus Spirit “Did Not” Die, But Went Back To Our Father In Heaven:
Luke 23:46 And when Jesus had cried w/a loud voice, he said, Father into thy hands I commend my spirit; and having said thus, he gave up the ghost.
3. Jesus Flesh Body Was Buried In A Tomb:
Matthew 27:59 - And when Joseph had taken the body, he wrapped it in a clean linen cloth.
Matthew 27:60 - And laid it in his own new tomb, which he had hewn out in the rock; and he rolled a great stone to the door of the sepulchre and departed.
4. Jesus Flesh Body Resurrected:
1 Corinthians 15:3 - For I delivered unto you for of all that which I also received how Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures.
1 Corinthians 15:4 - And that he was buried, and that he rose again the “third day” according to the scriptures.
5. Jesus told the thief on the cross, “today” thou shalt thou be with me in paradise.
Luke 23:43 - And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, “Today” shalt thou be with me in paradise.
The Word of God does “not” contradict itself so, is it wise to look to Luke chapter 16 for clarity?
The Rich Man And Lazarus
Study Luke 16:19 - 31
Now here it is that the rich man is in “hell” tormented in flame, yet he could see Abraham and Lazarus from afar. Abraham could see him as well, and they even talked to each other but, there was a great gulf fixed, prohibiting them to cross over one to the other. Abraham and Lazarus are comforted but, the rich man is tormented.
6. Was Paradise Hell? No
7. Was Paradise “in” Hell? Yes
At that time, Paradise “was” in Hell due to the fact that no one could enter Heaven without accepting Jesus Christ, so God made this a holding place for the godly.
Acts 4:10, 12/1 Peter 3:19 - 20
No one could enter Heaven until Jesus Christ rose from the dead, therefore all of the Old Testament saints were held in Paradise which “was” in Hell until that time.
8. Jesus Was “Not” Tormented/Nor Did He Suffer In Hell:
During the “three days” that Jesus was in the grave, His soul went into “Hell” and preached to the prisoners that were in Paradise, which were the Old Testament saints, “not” the ones being punished/tormented in flame on the other side.
1 Peter 3:19 - 20
After Jesus resurrection, many bodies of the Old testament saints came out of the graves.
Matthew 27:52 -53
Now we the children of God enter heaven “the holiest” directly by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way. Hebrews 10:19 - 21
In the love of Jesus Christ,
