I figure if I keep talking, maybe some of you will actually listen and not simply accuse me of being jealous. Here’s another example of the fact that these men don’t care about you but care only about, in the words of Jabez, enlarging their borders. They follow the money, the fame, the name and the nice hotel rooms, not the Lord. You are simply a means to reaching those goals. This sorry series of speaking engagements continues to illustrate the fact that adherence to orthodoxy is not important to them.
The kindly and gentle John Jenkins spoke at University Park Baptist Church in Charlotte North Carolina. The pastor there is Claude R. Alexander. Here is the FBCG e-bulletin announcing the speaking engagement.
Correct me if I am wrong, but that is John in the picture, right? And it does say he is going to speak at University Park Baptist Church, right?
I went out to Claude’s website and snooped around a little bit. Here’s his church’s home page.
I put the church’s homepage up so you can see that this University Park in Charlotte North Carolina is the same University Park in North Carolina that John spoke at last week. As you can see, the name of the pastor is the same and the name is spelled the same. So for those of you who are fond of saying the usual blather like “I never heard Pastor say that,” here is clear evidence that he spoke at University Park Baptist Church (UPBC). Any questions so far?
Some of you may be wondering why his speaking at UPBC is of any interest to you. Keep reading; it will become obvious.
The next couple of images show who Claude, the good pastor at UPBC plans on bringing in to speak to the congregation for whom he has taken responsibility. Take a look.
Here are the names enlarged. I’m sure you recognize one of them, Bishop Eddie (Thanks for the Million Dollar House) Long, Pimpus Maximus. Here’s a blow up of that name. I need not go on about Eddie Wrong in this posting. There’s plenty of time for that later.

But it seems another fellow is going
to speak as well. Here is a blow-up of his name.

At this point, you may ask “Yeah. So? Who cares if Bishop Arthur Brazier is speaking at UPBC?”
If you care about the sheep being fed and protected from the heretics, you should care.
Here’s a spot from Brazier’s web site. You can click on the image to go to his site and examine the contents yourself.
As you can see, he has lots of credentials. He’s certainly no dope. And when Claude invites the good bishop in to speak, he validates the man’s stand on Christ. There’s only one problem with this validation. The church he is pastor over is oneness. Here’s the banner from the church home page.

The Apostolic Church of God denies the Trinity. They worship another Christ, and not the Christ of the Bible. And they believe you are going to hell for worshiping a three-headed good.
Do you think I’m putting too much into the name? That could be. After all, maybe they used the CNC-1 church naming computer to come up with their church’s name. However, take a look at the next image. It was borrowed from HistoryMakers, and obviously it is not hostile to the good bishop.

Again, click on the image to see the webpage.
But just to check with you , this is the same fellow pictured in the Apostolic Church of God web site, right?
Now take a look at the last paragraph in the article (the following image). It indicates that Brazier is the bishop of the 6th Episcopal District of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World (PAW), an organization I have discussed previously.

And notice, by the way, even in the Apostolic circles, the focus seems to be on the size, not the teaching.
My point in all of this is this:
The pastor at UPBC has invited a known Oneness heretic (he is a leader in an organization that actively denies the Trinity) to teach the congregation. In doing so, he has assured the congregation that the man can be trusted to teach the truth about Jesus. When they see him on television, they will be more likely to listen to Brazier since “the pastor says he’s okay.” They may even be willing to send this clown and his organization money.
I can think of only two reasons Claude would bring in a man who denies at least one of the essentials of the faith. One, he doesn’t care about the man’s theology. He just wants to bring in a man who can build membership from 100 to 18,000. Or two, he just doesn’t have a clue, in which case he shouldn’t be a pastor. The sheep are likely to die under his hand.
Finally, John has gone to speak at the church of a man who either doesn’t care jack about the sheep he has taken responsibility for or who doesn’t have a clue. In either case, if John really cared about the sheep, he would go to Claude, explain the trouble with what Claude is planning to do, and refuse to give his name to the efforts of the misled or ambitious pastor at UPBC.
But in any case, John has again shown himself more interested in rubbing elbows with Big Dogs and Big Dog Wannabees than he is in being an effective pastor.
If you doubt this, go to one of the less-than-worthless deacons and ask them if they have challenged the good pastor on the his decision to speak at UPBC. Especially ask Stan Featherstone about it. Watching him do an Arkansas two-step should be interesting and instructive.
Remember, the deacons and the elders are, after all, the reason John gets to go where ever, teach what ever, and bring in who ever he wants. They really seem to have perfected that famous motto “Hear No Evil, See No Evil, Speak No Evil”. Oh, and if you don’t know what any of the deacons, elders, assistant reverends, and other big-wigs look like, I managed to snag a group shot of them. Click here.
Melvin, I admire your courage even though I don’t always agree with you. As a member of FBCG, God is not leading me personally to be concerned about where my pastor speaks. (So if he spoke at a Kingdom Hall, or a Mormon service you would not have a problem? Do you have a probelm when he brings heretics in to speak to the congregation - Charles Ellis, Noel Jones, and others?))
Every man, including Pastor, must give account for his deeds. On judgment day, God will SEE and judge the works of everyone including pastors. As a matter of fact, Pastors are more accountable. (James 3:1) Unless they repent, they’ll end up in hell. (2 Peter 2:4)
“For WE must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may RECEIVE the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.” 2 Corinthians 5:10 Here’s the NLV translation: “For we must all stand before Christ to be judged. We will each receive whatever we DESERVE for the good or evil we have done in our bodies.”
Notice the words “receive the things done in the body”.
QUESTION: How can we “receive the things done in the body” IF God didn’t SEE our sins? You can’t judge something that you don’t see visually.
“So then each of us shall GIVE ACCOUNT of himself to God.” Romans 14:12 (Matthew 12:36, Hebrews 4:13)
Notice the words “give account”. QUESTION: How can a judge hold someone accountable IF he didn’t SEE anything? That’s impossible.
CONCLUSION: It’s not true and HERESY for a pastor to teach his members, “On judgment day, God will not SEE our sins…..”. Amen.
“For the time has come for JUDGMENT to begin at the house of God; and if it begins with US first, what will be the end of those who do not obey the gospel of God?” 1 Peter 4:17
With all due respect, you and I are two different people. We think differently. So we have different concerns regarding FBCG.
My concern is only the UNSOUND DOCTRINE or HERESY that’s been taught at FBCG. For example: “On judgment day, God will not SEE our sins…..”. It’s non-biblical statements like this that’s causing spiritual DAMAGE to the members of that church.
This type of HERESY is just as lethal as someone being injected with poison! As a result, thousands of souls could be lost. Where pastor goes outside of FBCG doesn’t cause this type of spiritual damage. He’s the one who’s going to be held accountable for his actions not me.
Melvin, I admire your courage. Yet I’m not lead to be concerned about EVERYTHING that concerns you. So in love, let’s agree to disagree. Thanks.
Melvin,
I find it an oxymoron that a Pastor of a Pentecostal holiness church writes a book about grace!!
Agreed! That caught my attention too.
By the way, I’m not really showing much courage here. I mean it’s not like any of these guys are going to send out Guido to size me up for a pair of cement overshoes.
As I’ve said - I’m basically a pimple on these people’s behind. I suspect they are sure enough they will always have people like God’s Elect and others to keep them from ever having to worry about having a very comfortable income.
Melvin
Your above statement concerning ME is not true.
God’s Elect,
I’d like to commend a piece to you that I posted on another section of this site. Might be helpful regarding quoting single verses, etc.
NEVER EVER READ A BIBLE VERSE AGAIN!!!
If there is one bit of wisdom, one rule of thumb, one single skill I could suggest to all that can help in your Bible study/understanding, it would be simply, never read a bible verse again. Always read at least the paragraph in it’s entirety.
Since the context frames the verse and gives it specific meaning, this is the only way to fully understand what was being written to those who it was written to specifically. Remember, these were real people that these letters were addressed to, therefore they would be particularly familiar with the context at hand.
One basic rule of all communication is that meaning always flows from larger units of thought to smaller units, not the other way around. The key to the meaning of any verse then comes from the paragraph, not just from the individual words. Again, the numbers in front of the sentences give the illusion that the verses stand alone in their meaning. They were not in the originals, though. Numbers were added hundreds of years later. Chapter and verse breaks sometimes pop up in unfortunate places, separating relevant material that should be grouped together.
A little tip, if you will, ignore the verse numbers and try to get the big picture, then begin to narrow your focus. Next, begin with the broad context of the book. Who was this written to? What is the passage about in general? What idea is being developed? Step back from the verse and look for breaks in the narrative that identify major units of thought etc. Look for, what in the paragraph or group of paragraphs gives clues to the meaning of the verse.
Words have different meanings in different contexts, thus when we consider a verse in isolation, one meaning may occur to us. But how do we know it’s the right one? The only and best way to know should come from the surrounding paragraph(s).
Also, could you please elaborate on these statement’s if you don’t mind?
“IF God didn’t SEE our sins? You can’t judge something that you don’t see visually”.
“How can a judge hold someone accountable IF he didn’t SEE anything? That’s impossible.
“It’s not true and HERESY for a pastor to teach his members, “On judgment day, God will not SEE our sins…..”. Amen”.
Thanks!
hmmm…Guilty by association. JKJ, a baptist preacher, is speaking at another baptist preacher’s church, who happens to also be inviting a oneness to speak… hmmm.
You know what, I would initally go with what God’s elect says, IF I was confident that he would be going to preach something solid and effective. But, because he tends to make the same mistakes as the baptist preacher he is visiting, it comes across as birds flocking together.
I bet Brazier’s folks aren’t concerned about him going to a baptist church to preach. He’s going out on a missions trip to convert those poor souls.
Those weak Baptist!!! (jus kidding, there are a few solid based ones.)
By the way God’s Elect -
Are you a minister at FBCG soon to be the FBCG Worship Center?
Melvin
No! I’d be in trouble with God if I were……..Ministers have a greater accountability. So I wouldn’t want to be held accountable for any FALSE teaching.
FYI: Some of the ministers pastor covers do NOT agree with his doctrine. Yet they don’t have the guts to speak up. Outside of FBCG, pastor covers ministers from various backgrounds. I suspect there’s some who never inquired about his doctrine. They just wanted his “covering”.
Melvin’s Note: Just out of curiosity and so I can understand how you see it, what, exactly, is a covering?
Also, HOW would God show you that you should get out of there?
God’s Elect,
You almost have it right. To sit back and say nothing, or to quietly participate gets you in trouble. To be a leader and say nothing gets you in more trouble.
Please don’t use the fact that you are not a “leader” as an excuse. The Bible says you are not to have anything to do with them and to depart from them. It doesn’t even say you have to wait for some sign from God before acting. The only question is what is the best way to leave and where should you go. But there is no question about whether or not you should leave. Or am I reading more into the sections of scripture that tell us to have nothing to do with those who preach another gospel?
GE,
Also how is it you’re in trouble with God if you were a minister, but not as a Lay person with the same knowledge?
Hello
This is my first time to this web site. I kind of just stumbled upon it. At some point and time I do plan to join.
This website points out a the reasons why many people I know, including my self, are not going to church faithfully. I know that the word of God say do not forsake the gathering of the brethren so I know that I should be in a church. There is this one church that I probably will be joining. It is definitly not a church that preaches prosperity.
Wheneve I hear the word prosperity in that context I just want to throw up. It sickens me. These churches and pastors preach that so much that marriages are failing and families are dividing. I don’t see a problem with a pastor having money and for that fact a lot of money. But what I do have a problem with is that if they can have million dollar salaries and if Im a part of this then why cant the man in the back of the church be a millionaire also.
I will never forget the time when my old church talked about the church laying money at the aposltes feet. I believe that this may be Acts 4:32. But instead of them continuing on with the verse they just stopped at laying money at the apostles feet. But the verse went on to say how the apostles took the monies and divided amongst every one so that no one was in poverty. No one in a these million dollar churches or any church for that matter should be having a hard time living. Yes we must be good stewards of our money but if Im giving and working at this church too, I should be able to drive a nice car.
One other thing that I noticed. Paul was a tent maker. He continued to work. He did not quit his job and then rape the church for everything he need or wanted.
This is first and it wont be my last post to this site. As you can see I am very disappointed at these WOF churches.
Damagoh,
When you were at FBCG, did you notice any HOMOSEXUALS in Music Ministry? If so, what was your feelings on that situation?
At your current church, do they tolerate that mess?
(Melvin’s Note: No! We’re not going down that road again. No gift of gaydar, etc, etc.)
Curious# 2,
Let me just tell you that the lack of preaching that John Jenkins did was and is worst than anything else. The second worst was watching all of these intelligent, professional, black people, turn in their common sense at the door to sit and listen to a unlearned preacher. I don’t say this out of disrespect, but JKJ is not even close to being a Bible scholar, even after making a living “preaching” for all these years.
My current church teaches sound biblical doctrine, my church tends to be “no frills”, (no pun itntended) the way I like it.
What church do you attend, Damagon,? If you don’t mind telling us!
Damagoh,
I don’t see how your response answered the questions at hand: “When you were at FBCG, did you notice any HOMOSEXUALS in Music Ministry? If so, what was your feelings on that situation?”
(Melvin’s Note: I told you - no more discussions about the D/L at First Baptist or other places. That’s why I killed the bulk of this comment. )
FBCG lacks leadership with the “backbone” and right spirit to enforce God’s word. He’s more concerned with being popular than maintaining a standard of righteousness that’s in line with God’s word.
(Melvin’s Note: Listen closely - We have already had this discussion several posts ago. I am not interested in supporting this again. This IS the last comment on homosexuality and wether or not John Jenkins preaches against it. If you want to see the previous discussion, go to this posting, and here. Just be prepared to take a shower once you finish reading them.
I currently attend Calvary Community Church in Columbia

Curious,
I did answer your question, without violating Melvin’s gag order on the Homo stuff.
