Here is a posting from quite a while back. It references Benny Hinn. And there’s a bonus. Click where indicated, and you can hear Benny “There’s Nine of Them” Hinn yourself. And remember, John Jenkins and others sell this guy’s books. Jenkins invited Benny’s buddy, Clint Brown, in to speak to the congregation.
Well, at least John Jenkins makes it easy for me. I guess he figures either none of you are going to know enough to say anything, or youre too interested in currying his favor to make waves, or you’ve bought into the silliness about him being God’s mouth piece and God’s anointed so you better not say anything. But whatever the case, come July 14th, 2005 the good pastor will be speaking at Faith World Church down in sunny Orlando Florida. Now you may say: So what? The good pastor speaks at other churches all the time. And you would be correct in saying that. But this time, it’s going to be a little different. This time, he’s going to be involved with a fellow who apparently has close ties to Benny Hinn, one of my favorite Word Faith phonies.
Mr. Brown, shown in the headline below, is the pastor of World Faith Church. His background, according to the article, is pretty flakey. He was one of the leaders at Rod Parsleys church for several years. Rod Parsley is a favorite of the Word Faith folks. I don’t think he teaches Jesus Suffering in hell very often (if at all), but I must admit he has other doctrine that is quite impressive in its degree of distortion.

Here are
a couple of clips from Mr. Hinn. Click here.
To hear the entire clip with commentary by go to JohnEColeman.org, and look under “Various Past Archives” on the right side of the page.
This is the kind of deadly foolishness your pastor is willing not only to tolerate, but to promote by selling their books and speaking at their conferences.
John sells Hinn’s books in the bookstore there at First Baptist. And while John may not openly align himself with the likes of Hinn, he apparently has no problem associating with Hinn’s associates as shown by his going down to Florida to speak at the Judah conference. Either that or he knows you all are too stupid, too apathetic, or both to actually call him on it. And he’s probably right judging from the usual comments I get from you.
Understand what I’m saying: Brown merged his congregation with Hinn’s. Either he doesn’t have a problem with the doctrinal error preached by Hinn, or he doesn’t care enough about the congretation he was responsible for to stay away from Hinn. Either option is a sorry comment on Brown. And now John is going to preach at the church. Am I not making myself clear?
You have to understand one thing: If John is ever to become a Big Dog and not just a Big Dog Wannabe, he has to associate with the men and women with the Word Faith power. That includes Ken Copeland, Fred Price, Benny Hinn and their associates.
He has already spoken at at least one conference featuring Ken Copeland (see the PDF “Why I Left First Baptist”). He has compensated people who deny the Trinity to speak at Sunday service. And he has compromised and suddenly started ordaining women as pastors and “reverends.” If he doesn’t do these things, he’ll never be able to be a Big Dog. Not if T. Dexter is willing to acknowledge Juanita Bind’em as a pastor/prophet/whatever.
Another thing you have to understand is that John is no longer aligning himself with orthodox Christian doctrine. Instead, he is moving further and further into the Word Faith swill. And he is dragging you with him. The rat hole has gotten bigger and the rope is holding more people. And the deacons and elders are standing by silently as the ruin continues.
If you dont believe what I say about the deacons and the elders, go talk to them. There is a list of deacons and elders right here. At church the deacons sit right up front in the first two rows (or is it three rows now?) on Sundays. Give Deacon Lee, Deacon Hinds, Deacon Hughes, Deacon Grant (he sells the trash Hinn and the rest write) and Deacon Featherstone. The only thing you are going to get out of them is “I support the pastor” I guess it’s a good thing the pastor isn’t an athlete. Otherwise that would make them nothing more than athletic supporters.
But I digress. Don’t count on the elders or the deacons to defend you against the pimpery. They have, in all probability either been bought out (several of the deacons and elders are paid by the church and are beholden to the organization, not the Bible) or are happy to have a little respect and the admiration of the congregation. And don’t forget, they are guaranteed a front row seat no matter how crowded the sanctuary gets. The only problem is they have to be there whether they want to be or not. You think they would be willing to give that up?
Deacon Featherstone is the church administrator. It’s his only job. Do you really think he’s going to examine what John says too closely? One too many disputes and BAM! he’s out looking for another job. Besides, my expereince with Featherstone is that he is very much like his name when it comes to doctrinal steadiness. While he’s a heck of a nice guy, he’s pretty much a feather weight.
So again: Don’t count on being protected by the deacons or the elders. It’s not going to happen. You will simply be eaten alive. But you will have a really nice looking building/memorial to show for your sacrifices.
And John’s patronage to a Benny Hinn proponent is simply more evidence that he is working the Word Faith circuit for all it’s worth to him, not you.
