I was going to relate another adventure of the fairy god mother of the Word Faith world, Marilyn Hickey. But I got something in the mail that convinced me I had to give some time to another of the WoF pimps. Let’s take a look at one of my favorite pimps , Peter Popoff (I swear to you , I did not make this name up. I don’t have that great an imagination).
Apparently, Peter P. had gotten some trouble several years ago and had to keep a very low profile. A couple of skeptics caught him in the act of a “healing” scam. But apparently, Peter P. is a very resilient kind of guy and has made something of a comeback. Take a look at the latest mailing he sent me. Click on the thumbnails below to view them.
If you follow his instructions with the five pennies , and send him some money , God will talk to him and tell him where you need to go to get some money, or to get some kind of blessing or another; or to find wealth of some kind or another.
As you read the first two sheets, please let the fact that this man believes you are stupid really sink into your mind. The only difference between Pimp Popoff and Pimp Long, or Jenkins is that Long and Jenkins appeal to you in a much more sophisticated manner. And they more or less limit their scams to the people in the church building. They exude wealth and charisma, encouraging you to be like them (rather than like Christ). But the whole time, all of them are telling you to keep you eye on the money. All of them, and those like them, are saying: “Give me money, make me look good, and God will give you money and make you look as good as I do.”
Popoff makes some truly outlandish claims. On the first page, he gives us a prophecy from God. And of course the prophecy is one in which God promises to bring me great blessing , in the form of money of course. He also provides for the removal of those things that are making my life difficult. Given these promises, I have to wonder if he sent this package to Stephen Mir.
Oh, you never heard of Stephen Mir? Well, he’s a pastor in Bangladesh, a place where getting a well is a really big deal. The reason I don’t think Pastor Stephen got the five coins is because of what happened to him. Click on the image below and take a look for yourself.
Unlike us Western Christian who may on occasion have to embarrass ourselves and take a stand for Christ, Pastor S was beaten, shot, and stabbed. The left side of his face will probably be disfigured for the rest of his life. Most of us are afraid to go to the pastor or one of our worthless deacons (like those guys at First Baptist Church of Glenarden) and call them out because we might get embarrassed, or people might not want to be our friends.
Instead, we keep quiet. And when the “man of God” tells you that you need to give some more money so he can finish building his monument, you give money for something like this:
Meanwhile, Christians who actually understand what Christianity is, Christians like the Hmong, study the Bible anywhere they can, like the woman below. She’s using a hand-written Bible.
Or get yourself killed like Redoy Roy in India. If you have the stomach, take a look.
How can you help these Christians? Not by prattling on about how God has made us the head and not the tail. Rather, get in touch with these people and stop listening to the pimps who insist on taking your money and putting your focus on prosperity.
And while you are at it, pray for this young man.
He’s a dirt poor missionary working in India, a place that is, overall, pretty hostile to the Christians.

I know only one real man of God. Dr. Chris Mentillo needs not be denied this status. The Money Doctor is the real thing. All these guys just want money honey. But doc has enough of it to give as he receives. he has given away so much money to members, because he really practices what he preaches. Give and it shall be given back to you. He gives and many sow Gods Seeds into his organization. Others just take your money and run. Doc always gives back more money than you sow. Period. You can’t loose with his system. Glory to God, we need more men of god like Dr. Chris Mentillo. Amen.

But what is scary is that if you read their statement of faith before you read anything else, he looks like the real thing. Good thing the scripture says you will know them by their fruit.
It is getting to the point that the wolves will use the same lingo and Jesus name to bait the sheep in.
I get the feeling he copied their statements of faith and pasted it on their site. After reading the other bullet points about the celebrities and powerful people he is connected with, it makes me wonder what his real motives are. But I could be wrong.

I hate to admit that twice in the last four weeks i was confronted with an opportunity to stand against apostate wolves in sheep’s clothing, and both times i bit my tongue not for the sake of any friends, but I doubted what the LORD could have done through me to make a point. I want to be used by the LORD but I did not allow the Holy Spirit to work its power of conviction, causing me to retreat. I need to strengthen my prayer life and be bold before men, regardless of the consequences.

First, I would like to comment on Mr. Melvin Jones accusations. It appears to me, that you are a rebel without a cause!! The Bible says try to spirit by the spirit, and I’m assuming by your lack of spiritual insight, you lack the Holy Ghost. Which, if you did have the Holy Ghost, the comforter, that leads and guides us into all truth, you would use discernment which accompanies the Holy Ghost. The reason I felt the need to include the “racist” title White Lady, is because I noticed the attack of “Black Pastors”. I am an avid listener to Pastor Bryant, Bishop Jakes and on rare occassions Creflo Dollar. I support their ministries by obtaining CD, books, etc., which in turn, motivate, encourage, inspire me with my walk with God. For credibility sake, I have been baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, filled with the Holy Ghost, living life abundantly since Feb 1981. I KNOW in whom I have believed. I know my blessings in business, work, children, have come from My Father, Jesus Christ. Had to throw a little “oneness” in there since “oneness” was attacked earlier. I Tim 3:16, Great is the mystery, it’s a mystery who God is, so I am “smart” enough to realize, not everyone is going to “get it”. Instead of wasting your time and energy Mr. Jones fighting against the gospel of Jesus Christ, I suggest you dig into the word, and earnestly desire to seek the truth. Tell you what, I’ll pray the you have a road to Damascus experience as well. Remember, Paul thought he was doing the right thing too, when he was committing murder against God’s people. I pray that your eyes will be opened as well.
I believe that just as Abraham, David, Solomon, etc., God wants His man of the hour, so to speak, to be blessed in abundance. Furthermore, who I am to judge anyone. Maybe your judgments against these Men of God, is the reason you are in the financial condition you are in, whatever way you judge others, GOD will judge you. Think about it!!!

What about approaching the Lord with fear and trembling? Jesus is not your buddy nor is He your financier. He is THE LORD. He deserves reverence regardless of your financial situation. YOU and I and everyone else are sinners. YOU need to put your faith in him regardless of good times or bad. Why do you think Creflo is a good man? Read your Bible and compare ANY of the PIMPS you mentioned to Paul or Peter. Their lives could not be any different. You are deceived and a blind follower. You are a lemming. Your whole rant was about blessings, blessings, blessings. How blessed was Stephen? He was the first to get killed. His blessing was being with the Lord God that very instance he was murdered. 46, do you believe that God would have a preacher tell someone to go out and make money by using profanity and sing songs that glorify sin (Creflow)? Do you believe that God would have a preacher tell people that paganistic activities like yoga is okay (Jakes)? Do you believe that God would have a preacher tell His people to act like worldly, Jesus-Christ hating rap artists by imitating their stuff (Jamal Harrison)? If you think that Jehovah God is about these things, you should really pray for your own deliverance. Though these preachers may say some things that will bless you, you have to take the whole of what they say and see how they are really affecting the people. If satan himself stood at the podium and preached love, would you support him, too? I hope not. Because in the midst of his love message is the underlying truth of his desire to kill you.
If you feel Melvin is attacking Jesus Christ and if you feel he is a rebel without a cause, why would you then waste your time commenting on this site? It seems to me that you would have done better just praying for us poor souls. Your comments were insulting, accusational and without the love of Christ. Even as you accused him of judging, what do you call your comments?
One more thing; if you are truly white, your decision to clarify that shows a little bit of racism. If you feel the way you feel and you feel justified, what does your race have to do with it? It’s just like when I read a book; I know the writer is white because they never explain the color of their character unless the character is black - another form of the “them” racism. Racism is as much a sin as any other sin - remember that.
As for judging - I will only say this; we are not judging them, we are judging what they say and do, in accordance to the Word of God, on national TV before the masses. We are to judge those who are from within. If you knew your Bible, you would have known that. How bout you go and look it up. Know what you are talking about before posting next time.

So true. Pimps make it difficult to present the Gospel message. Every time you do the person in front of you thinks of the charades, gaudy hairdos, hokey gibberish (tongues), and of course a good dose of hypocrisy lived out by most of the pimps. Very sad indeed. Gary there is one thing I have noticed about the Pimp lovers and it is this. They will never come here and defend their statements with scriptural or historic biblical accounts. Really what they want is a nanny Church that takes care of their every need. It’s as if the Lord created US to be SERVED by Him rather than the truth which is the other way around.
