I’m getting a few more eyes out in the world. A couple of readers (Ayana and Deb) sent me this link: Long and another sent me the text. Pay attention while you read this and try to avoid coming to the conclusion that it’s just Satan coming against God’s anointed.
It fell in rather nicely with the mini-tirade I was on last week about Eddie Long and Cashflow.
The Atlanta Journal, an admittedly left-leaning news organization, did a spread on Eddie Long, bishop extraordinaire, and leader of New Birth Missionary Baptist Church in Lithonia Georgia.
Here are some excepts from the article:
The charity, Bishop Eddie Long Ministries Inc., provided him with at least $3.07 million in salary, benefits and the use of property between 1997 and 2000 — nearly as much as it gave to all other recipients combined during those years, tax records show.
And another one says:
The charity’s compensation to Long over that four-year period included:
· A $1.4 million six-bedroom, nine-bath home on 20 acres in Lithonia (picture is here).
· Use of a $350,000 luxury Bentley automobile.
· More than $1 million in salary, including $494,000 in 2000.
And here is one particularly Christ-like statement:
“We’re not just a church, we’re an international corporation,” Long said. “We’re not just a bumbling bunch of preachers who can’t talk and all we’re doing is baptizing babies. I deal with the White House. I deal with Tony Blair. I deal with presidents around this world. I pastor a multimillion-dollar congregation.
“You’ve got to put me on a different scale than the little black preacher sitting over there that’s supposed to be just getting by because the people are suffering.”
And it gets better:
Long established the charity as a nonprofit religious corporation in 1995. Incorporation papers filed in New York said its purpose was spreading the gospel and that no part “of its assets, income or profit” would be distributed to any directors of the charity except for “reasonable payment”…..The charity took out a $1,160,000 mortgage to purchase the home in March 1998, according to DeKalb County property records. The mortgage was paid off by 2003, records show.
In October 2002, Bishop Eddie Long Ministries notified the IRS that the charity was dissolving and pledged to transfer all of its assets to New Birth Missionary Baptist Church.
The house was never transferred.
I’ll tell you again - these people don’t care about you. They are like the pimps who take money from the women in their stable. And you are like the women in his stable, bragging about your pimp and how he takes care of you.
Here is a list of how well his “hos” have taken care of him, while they drive around in cars that almost work and scrape to keep the electricity on at home.
Between 1997 and 2000, Long received $3.07 million in compensation from Bishop Eddie Long Ministries Inc.
· $1,450,000 — House
· $1,037,992 — Salary
· $350,812 — Use of Bentley
· $195,145 — Home improvements, including $135,560 for landscape improvements, $3,286 for a parsonage pool table, $35,169 for a built-in hutch, plus other items.
· $13,074 — Property taxes
· $16,000 — Expense account
· $9,600 — Benefits, deferred compensation
$3,072,623 — Total*
Shoot, no wonder he’s on fire for the Lord.
Some of the other folks who do this?
John Jenkins gets a “love offering” and lives rather large starting with a $500,000 house in Prince Georges County
Creflo Dollar has his own jet.
Joyce Meyers has a $900,000 compensation package AND a big honkin’ house. Should I call her a Madam or a Pimpette?
As I’ve said in an earlier article - it’s all about the Benjamins. You people need to wake up.

Is it right for a pastor to be the unquestioned leader in the church?
When they got rid of the deacon board wasn’t that a step towards it?
Where is the checks and balances?
I don’t understand how anyone can sit under this man. Sometimes I wish I could sit down personally with him and see if he is really the way he is.
At the end of the article I wished he explained how Jesus was rich but he probably didn’t want to be exposed by anyone outside his influence.
Lord Help!
i have one simple comment for these people quoted from the king james study bible john3:30 “he must increase, but i must decrease.” that was written for a reason
Whatever happened to being a “servant” for the Lord (Matthew 20:27) and “setting our affection on things above and not on things of the earth” (Colossians 3:2)?
Amen, Richard. Amen.
But as long as we sit around and cry “Touch not God’s anointed!!!” when people point out the obvious, these pimps will continue to fleece the flock and tell religious fairy tales.
Melvin
I am so saddened that these people are doing this to those sincere souls that believe that these people hold the answers to their suffering. I have tried to listen to the message of these males and found that it can sound very sincere and uplifting but when you go to get a copy you must pay a small sum not to mention I wonder how people can afford to go to their cruises and gatherings all over the world, the caribbean and stay at luxurious hotels. Sadly, they make those people who are working hard and trying to live right feel that they are doing something wrong. Trying to keep a roof over your families head and paying your bills is made to seem like an indictment for wrong living. How else can one explain these few ministers and their so called “first ladies” lavish and comfortable lifestyle while many of their parishioners can not even keep food on the table. It is very very sad and cold blooded to lead people knowing that the money they place in their hands is used to live like KINGS. Something Jesus would definitely NOT aprove of. Peace
In the article Bishop’s charity generous to bishop/New Birth’s Eddie Long:
(1). Long said he represented:
a. a paradigm shift
b. in the black church.
a. Paradigm Shift: A change of one way of thinking to another way of thinking. It is a revolution, a transformation, a sort of metamorphois. It just does not happen, but rather it is driven by agents of change.
Eddie Long has tried to “change” The Word of God through preaching Word of Faith. The false doctrine of prosperity preaches/teaches another gospel, another Jesus, and another Spirit.
b. The body of Christ/Church is “not” divided nor defined by the color of a man’s skin. We are a people of every tongue, tribe, and nation who have been taught by revalation of God to know infactically that Jesus is the Christ, the son of the living God.
Revelation 5:9 - And they sung a new song saying thou art worthy to take the book and to open the seals thereof: for thou was slain, and has “redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation.”
1 Peter 2:9-10 - But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should show forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light; which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.
(2). Long said:
a. He won’t be like other “pastors” who died broke while giving everything to congregations that “wanted them to live in poverty and preach to them about prosperity.”
But God Word says:
Acts 4:32 And the multitude of “them that believed” were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own but they had all things common.
Acts 4:34 “Neither was there any among them that lacked”. For as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices of the things that were sold.
Acts 4:35 And laid them down at the apostels feet; and DISTRIBUTION WAS MADE TO “EVERY MAN” ACCORDING AS HE HAD NEED.
John 7:24 Judge not (Eddie Long) according to the appearance but judge righteous judgement and Luke 6:45 ……For of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.
In the love of Christ Jesus,

-Brand Nubian “WAKE UP”
yes lawd….these “sheep” need to wake up.
are you afraid to call jesus lord
Ya’ll are going to hell!!! Repent and let the Lord deal with his anointed.
Anony-nut……….why would we repent of obeying the Lord’s commands to warn the Body of false teachers by holding their words and actions against Scripture??
Put down the Miracle Spring Water, step away from the Creflo Dollar blowup doll, and open your Bible.
