Here is a posting from someone who visited the site yesterday. The comment is also attached to “Why This Site Is Here.”
I use to attend World Changer in 1992-93, prior to them moving into the dome they are in today. Creflo had me chasing material wealth like nver before. I had always had the desire to be rich one day. A lady friend who ended up being my ex-wife introduced me to the church. To make a long story short, I paid my tithes and offerings and followed Creflo teachings faithfully without missing a service.
I found myself trying to be like Creflo instead of trying to be like Christ. I ended up in the mental institution. I literally lost my mind focusing on the material world instead of the spiritual world and the Kingdom of God. Creflo teaches prosperity without repentance from sin. Today I am delivered from this false teaching and I seek spiritual prosperity, the peace love and joy of the holy spirit, the Kingdom of God. Today I can’t even watch Creflo on TV his teachings are so off. He is definitely preaching another gospel aside from that of Jesus Christ. I’m sure I am not the only person who went into the mental institution following his doctrine of demons
I pray that God bless you continually to follow Him. That one to two years you were at WCCI I’m sure was an experience that was of a great challenge. Your experience was really extreme in you focusing more on the man and not the voice behind the words he’s saying. I believe that can happen to anyone any where under any influence; whose focus is off balance. My focus at this church is God’s will only! I can see how people can take there eyes off the spiritual blessing and seek to gradify their fleshy desires. The material substance is the result of walking in the Spirit and being obedient to the Word of God. I believe in balancing spiritual and natural blessings. If satan sees we’re off balance, then YES he will take advantage of you. I know who I am in Christ first. This is not about jPastor C.D. or any other minister. This is about truth. Let God be true and every man a liar! Some good sound advice: If you can’t say anything to bless people (no matter who they are) don’t say nothing. Take it to God in prayer He’s the author and finisher of our faith. It’s about God wants you to have a relationship with Him. (Not be like Mike) I also advice you to join a church because that’s where you know God has called you to and not for some selfish motive. EVERYbody is not suppose to be a member of this church. Only the ones that God has choosen. When you’re out of place (mentally, physically and spiritually, the enemy will keep you in bondage). I love you with the Love of God, Truly!!
Former WCCI you did the right thing by running from that mess. God has said to you follow me. Do not get involved in any other organized religious institute. Seek the knowledge and wisdom of the Holy Spirit
Good Evening Melvin,
Here is an article on Creflo Dollar. It is located in the AJC archives.
DOLLAR AND THE GOSPEL
Author: John Blake; Staff Date: March 5, 2000 Publication: The Atlanta Journal and The Atlanta Constitution Page Number: G1 Word Count: 3083
The Rev. Creflo Dollar Jr. has unabashedly embraced his name by building a religious empire on the message that his brand of piety leads to prosperity.
He drives a black Rolls-Royce, flies to speaking engagements across the nation and Europe in a $5 million private jet and lives in a $1 million home behind iron gates in an upscale Atlanta neighborhood.
Dollar seems to have it all and says his followers can, too — riches on earth as well as in heaven.
In the love of Christ Jesus,
Deb
I know what you have said about ending up in a mental institution is no joke. It is real. It’s not only the Creflo Dollars and other Word of Faith teachers that have doctrines of demons. It is any ministry that do not teach you death to self and this world. Jesus’ kingdom is not of this world. We must be born -again and filled with the Holy Ghost. The early church raised the dead, opened blinded eyes and healed the sick. Today’s church is denying the power because the ‘world’ is in the church. It’s all about entertainment for self, trips for self and programs for self. All cloaking under the name Jesus!
Let me ask you this. All you anointed(so called) saints..how many of you have, through Christ healed the sick raised the dead, opened blinded eyes? You seem like you all have that green eyed demon of jealousy and condemnation for this man Creflo Dollar. And if anything you probably would have ended up in a mental institution any way because of your hate. Now I don’t go to this mans Church, but alot of people are still going and I guess he has about 15 to 20 thousand members probably been there for 10 year or more and why haven’t some of you so called saints aquired land to grow food for the kingdom? Did not God show the children of isreal the promised LAND? Did not God say subdue the earth? Ya’ll try to talk God but don’t do Gods Will.
Melvin’s Note: Let’s assume Cashflow really has raised the dead and healed the sick. Why is he so selfish as to not go to the hospitals and empty them out? Why do some people at the holy shindigs not get healed, and why is there no documentation of the miraclous healings and dead raising avaiable? Why don’t these men and women go to the AIDS clinics and empty them out?
And by the way, did Jesus EVER appear on stage with Benny “There’s Nine of Them” Hinn as he promised He would?
Melvin you sound like a very bitter small man with a chip on his shoulder..what are you doing thats helping people besides whinning about creflo dollar and TD jakes…did Creflo Dollar holler at you an hurt your feelings..You call them Pimps…and I bet they would call you a punk because you would never sit down one on one with any of them PJ included and say what you have to say about how they present themselves. You have created a whole website to talk about them- hoooo what a brave man.
(Melvin’s Note: None of the site deals with how they present themselves. It deals with their doctrine and their propensity for pimping the congregation. Actually I did sit down one on one with John Jenkins. In fact I sat down one on one with him for the better part of six months as he tried to demonstrate to me that Jesus’ death on the cross was not sufficient to pay for our sins; that Jesus had to suffer in hell for our sins since they are spiritual. The only thing the cross did was give us health. He ended the discussion the way he ended almost all of our discussions. He pointed out that we are simply interpreting “it” differently and he’s been ministering (at the time) for 20 years. It was similar to the time he did a lesson on discerning godly music. It was really weak; downright embarassing. But he offered the same “ministering for 20 years” defense. As I have stated many times on the site, my objective is to warn the unwary believer about the wolves and their doctrines and schemes.
And a Luvvy candidate!! )
bigmoneychange, for one he is hipping us to people like cashflow. If his prosperity message is so wonderful then why are half the people in his church broke, busted and disgusted? Explain that to me! Thank you Melvin for not being afraid to tell us the truth. People who defend that kind of junk are those who will take the mark of the beast. Gulible.
it says in Rev. 13:16 he causes all both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave to recieve a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads.
Just thought I’d bring that to the gulible ones attention.
Oh Yeah, Cref is the only one who really seems to be profiting from this type of message.
Melvin its easy for those men to get up and tell us to have faith in God, believe for your miracle when they are getting thousands of untaxed dollars every week.
If they truly had to believe God for their living I gaurantee you they’d be preaching the right Gospel.
I appreciate your warnings and ask you to please continue because it is important for us to hear warnings of false doctrines and then go to the scriptures and find out whether these things be true or false. Just one point I would like to make however; all the slurs of these men’s’ and women’s’ names make you look nasty and less credible. If you believe what you say is true, please remember that they are LOST and their souls and the souls of those who follow them need God’s love to bring them to repentance.
(MN: Bernadette, it is very likely they are lost souls. But it is not my intention to bring these wolves to repentance, any more than it is the legal system’s intention to bring a child molester to repentance. His name and face are plastered all over the neighborhood so people will know who is a danger to them. )
