By the way Melvin, If I am so ill-informed. It is only through the information that I have compiled through reading your website. Not through conversation with anyone else. I have been reading this website for months, and decided to pray and seek GOD before I made any comments. I want to be clear with my position. My concern is the souls. Pastor Jenkins, and all of the local pastors and apostles can take care of themselves execptionally well. Just like the "isrealites" GOD has chosen them and HE is definitely watching out for them. My concern are the souls who will turn away from GOD all together because something that they read or something that they were told confused them so much until they don't know where to go or who to turn to. If the issues are that great, what happened to being an example. Take Ezekiel for a moment. Through instruction from GOD he ate the scroll and carried the burden. If you want to drop some knowledge. Drop some revelation "Word of God" knowledge. Because at this point quite frankly this website is not sound doctrine either.

No Melvin I did not run across your website, I actually have been visiting for a while. You know (trying the spirit.)... It is unfortunate that your website is really not serving the purpose that you intended. If you are so concerned about what is going on and being preached in the "mega churches". Then why not do something positive about it? Whose "cross" did you die on? I am not going to sit here and engage in idle banter with you, or try to argue my point, as you seem to do constantly with everyone that visits your site. These are serious issues that need to be addressed. People are dying spiritually. If all you can come up with is a "Michael Baisden" type of opinion forum, then you are not doing anything at all but adding fuel to satans fire. I'm pretty sure you think you got it all figured out. You seem to be the type of person that is "always" right. However, what have you done to correct the wrongs that you have faced in any church that you have attended? Do you have somewhere for people to go? Because people that have visited this website (quite a few) have left their churches since reading your "column". My concern as should yours. Are the souls whose minds are being changed from following CHRIST not Pastor Jenkins, Betty Peebles or anyone else, But CHRIST by reading your material. The bible says that HIS word shall draw. Now if you have a sermon, and are willing to preach the gospel, then yes I will listen all day. But if you have no real solution to the problem then what is the point? I don't want to argue with you and I wont. But let's be honest for a moment. Who or what are you more concerned with. Bashing the men of GOD or protecting the souls that GOD has left for them to shepard? If the latter, then turn the website into a intercessory prayer website. I guarantee a wider range of viewers and prayer warriors. That is what we need. Not "judges"

Monica, Monica, Monica - tsk, tsk, tsk.

There is nothing more embarassing than watching and listening to a person rail about something about which they are so ill-informed. I guess you are a new generattion of reader. You are going through all the accusations and calumnies used by the casual readers when I first started this site.

In all probablility, you got to the site by typing in www.FBCGlenarden.com, expecting to go to the actual FBCG site. Instead you ended up here. But you should understand something - you ended up here with a filter set to see only FBCG information. If you look on the right-hand side of the page, near the top, you will see a host of topics and categories.

In other words, the site is not here simply to rail against John Jenkins. Any thing but. The site is here to provide a warning against the pulpit pimps who daily mislead you and to attempt to provide some information useful to you as a Christian.

For instance - one of the articles addresses valid reasons to leave a church. And here's a hint: none of the reasons involve who is in what leadership position. There are also posts about specific and significant doctrinal issues. For instance some preachers (like Creflo Dollar, Ken Copeland, Fred KC Price and yes, John Jenkins, preach that Jesus suffered in hell for our sins. His death on the cross was not sufficient.

It's not about expecting from man. It's about being obedient to God. And God says (in the Bible) that we are to warn others about men who preach another gospel.

I have to admit that I was surprised at the number of comments I got when we brushed against the down low activity within the church (not just FBCG). It's as if people go for the salacious rather than the edifying. As a result, I shut down comments on a couple of them for exactly the reason you talk about. It was more gossip than anything else. If you look at the posting and the comments, you will see exactly that.

And my comments are not necessarily for you to read Monica. The comments I make are to address things people have said in order for others to read. I hope you do come back. You are one of the few with the 'nads to give your name. Congratulations.

Let me start by saying "GOD please have mercy on the creator of this websites soul". I have read nothing but back biting about FBCG and the Pastor.. You couldn't find another way to get your point across? What makes you think that this is edifying to the body of Christ? If people are leaving the church because of these issues, where are they going? To another church with the same issues? Help me to understand the purpose of this website. If the doctrine being taught @ FBCG is not sound doctrine, then you should have a place for these people that are blindly leaving FBCG to go. Your website is nothing more than a glorified gossip column. A venue for you to not only bash men of GOD but a place for you draw people to your "occult". You crave to be "justified" and you knew that the mere mention of Pastor Jenkins name would have his flock running to see what you had to say, because those who care want to know the reason behind your abrupt departure...Who cares!!!!! You're gone. Stay gone. It was your choice to leave so be it. One thing about GOD that I love is that He is a gentleman. He doesn't force himself on anyone. What you have done is allowed satan to use you to divert peoples attention off GOD. Let's forget about Pastor Jenkins for one moment because truly it is not about him. It is all about GOD!!! and all you are doing is allowing "your flesh" to try and glory in the presence of GOD. It is not going to work. Stop allowing satan to use you. GOD is not the author of confusion. That is what this is!!!!! I petition anyone who calls him or herself a Christian seeking GODS will to study to show themselves approved unto GOD. Stop expecting from man and put all your expectations in GOD. He will never fail you. Peace to you my brother. The unclean spirits that are controlling your life are going to be the death of you if you continue to let them.. Don't put yourself in a position to have to ask GOD "Why me?" Don't bother commenting because I don't care what you have to say, and once I log off. You wont have to worry about me visiting this website again. I suggest that anyone with a mind of their own to do the same.

Just Wondering,

Let's start with the reference to Moses. I commend you for using the Bible in your comment. Sadly, this has been very rare among most of the commenters. However, I would ask that you consider the following in your use of the reference:

1. Aaron and Miriam didn't speak against Moses for doctrinal reasons. They spoke against him because he married the Cushite woman. In order to be at least somewhat applicable, I would have to be criticizing John becasuse of the woman he married, or the way he dresses, or some other purely peripheral matter. I have conciously and purposely avoided any such complaint. (except for the article about him and Trina looking like a prince and princess out of Africa). But my objections are not peripheral. They are central to the very Gospel itself.

2. In Deuteronomy 13:1-11 God tells the Israelites what to do if someone tries to feed them bad doctrine. Romans, Galatians, 2 Timothy and others tell us what to do if someone tries to feed US bad doctrine. Look at the page "<a href="http://www.pulpit-pimps.org/archives/2005/01/29/open-44">Why This Site is Here</a>". Click on the link and your browser should take you right there.

I did leave First Baptist, around four years ago. I haven't regretted a single day of being gone.

If you can show me where the Bible says I am to "pray and intercede for deliverance at your ministry," I would be most grateful.

You're right. You didn't talk forever. You didn't have to. YOU actually used the Scriptures. Again, I commend you.

hey Melvin,
Do you still attend First Baptist? If you do, why?
I am in agreement that if you are not going to teach the word un compromising and true then you should not teach it at all, however if indeed GOD has revealed to you that there are somethings that are not right it was for one of two reasons or both.
1) to Pray and intercede for deliverance at your ministry
2) to leave
However GOD did not reveal this information for you to tear down the leader that "GOD" has chosen. Remember he was still chosen by GOD and if he lacks the strength to deal with certain things in the ministry then he needs prayer not criticism. Please remember what happened to Miriam and Aaron when they talked against Moses for doing what they didnt think was right(Numbers 12:1 - 15). GOD judged them quickly and it was MOSES the same man that they attacked and criticized that prayed for their deliverance.
I can appluade your zeal for wanting to have the "truth" revealed however I believe you may be going about it the wrong way.

Be Blessed. BTW ( I dont think I talked forever hahaha)

Melvin I am very suprised at your comments. No one is perfect. We all struggle with something. I know nothing negative about Pastor J. He is a great man of God. I will say out of love you need to read Psalms 105: 15. Compare your works (fruit) and then look at yours. Many souls have been saved through his ministry.

<strong>Melvin's Note: Sometimes I feel as though my mouth is moving and nothin' is coming out. Or perhaps Anonymous has not read anything on this site before we discussed the D/L stuff. Look at the articles that have been written addressing the issues with John Jenkins. None of them are subjective (simply a matter of my opinion) and the vast majorty of them deal with doctrine. Specifically - John has taught that Jesus suffered in hell for our sins. He has supported men who teach that Jesus suffered in hell for our sins. He has invited men who deny theTrinity to preach at the church. But these are all things I have enumerated in this site. And, if what you and the others say is true, he refuses to confront and discipline the known practicing homosexuals there at the church. Now how can you sit there and say that you don't know of anything Jenkins has done wrong. Melvin</strong>

Gosh...can the man at least get well before you start attacking his character...LET IT GO

<strong>Sorry, but I didn't wait until he got sick to do this. The fact that he is sick (but apparently not seriously so) doesn't change anything. </strong>

The comment that you made that was stupid was the statement that you made about him standing before the bema seat and having to explain the things he has done. Frankily, that was a low-blow. How are you going to look standing before the bema seat? Have you really through about that! The only reason why I am responding was because I wanted to see if you were going to respond to my email. I see that you have, and now I am through with this website. Good luck on whatever you are trying to accomplish, but next time, have some respect for him and his FAMILY. YOU DON'T HAVE TO RESPOND BECAUSE I WON'T KNOW WHAT YOU WROTE!

What, of what I've said, indicates I'm crazy? What of what I said inidcates I'm sick. What does John being ill have to do with any of this? And above all, what have I said that is stupid?
