My niece hs done me proud. Ayana, my niece, posted a couple of blogs, the likes of which I have not seen from any other 20+ year olds. Heck, I haven’t seen this kind of stuff from any of the supposedly anointed and powerful preachers I run across.
Ayana wrote an article on tithing. Needless to say, she put forth, rather well, the position that tithing is not something required of the Christian. She presented her facts, laid them out, dealt with some things from the opposing view and threw down the gauntlet to anyone willing to discuss the subject using the whole counsel of God as the standard. I was impressed. It brought a tear of joy to this old man’s eye.
Go here and give it a read. It’s enough to restore your faith in the yong men and women who will be taking over the fight once us older Chirstians shuffle off the scene.
But the treat didn’t stop there. No sooner had she posted the article than some mush head came in and gave a perfect knee-jerk reply. It was painful (in a delicious sort of way) to watch, actually. It was as if the fellow suffered from instant, as you read, memory loss. Though he wrote well, he simply re-presented the argument she had just destroyed.
I can die happy now.
