I’m having some trouble reconciling what the Bible says with what I keep seeing around those who would call themselves the servants of Christ.
Paul, a bondservant of Christ, accepted deprivation, danger, hardships of all kinds in order to minister to the Body of Christ. By his own words, he made it clear that while he could ask for their support, he chose not to. He had a job instead. That, or course would mean he would have to do without. He wouldn’t be able to own the well tailored togas. He wouldn’t be able to own the best chariot around, pulled by the fastest horses. And he would have to pass up on a villa cozying up to the Rubicon River just outside Rome. In other words, he would have to pretty much look and live like the rest of the folks he ministered to.
Here’s a brief quiz. Pick the best answer(s).
The Question: The picture below is a photograph of:
a. The president of the United States and the First Lady
b. A prince from one of the African nations
c. The pastor of First Baptist Church of Glenarden
d. A Big Dog Wannabee

The answer? c and d.
But don’t think John Jenkins is a unique occurence of this highly elevated servanthood.
Here are some folks for the UPCC. Notice the phraseology - The leaders are enthroned.
And by the way, how come these clods look like cardinals and bishops?

Is it just me or do these “leaders” seem to be profiting at your expense?
I feel as though you are an complete jerk and need something better to do with your time. Jerk
you are odviously a troubled person who can’t find any thing constructive to do with his time. Hope we could meet in person some time real soon.
Gentlemen, you realize of course, that it is not enough to say that I am troubled, or that I am a jerk. Personal insults are easy enough.
Have I said anything false? Have I reached unreasonable conclusions about the photographs and captions included with them? If I have said something false, what was it? If I have made an error, what is it?
Lacking repsonses to these questions, you are simply doing an outstanding job of demonstrating exactly why this website exists. You are reacting with “feelings” rather than using the Bible as a guide. You are enabling the pimps and pimpettes to continue to feed you bad doctrine and to charge you while they do it.

So the anger of the Lord was aroused against them, and He departed. And when the cloud departed from above the tabernacle, suddenly Miriam became leprous, as white as snow. Then Aaron turned toward Miriam, and there she was, a leper.
God gives a warning concerning persons putting their mouths on men and women of God.
I pray that God gives you mercy and the grace to repent.
Well I guarantee you I’m not going to be putting my mouth on any men and women, except my wife! That would be a sin.
You do understand that you are simply demonstrating why the pimps are able to keep fleecing you people.
Look at the entire section. Miriam wasn’t saying Moses was preaching heresies. She wasn’t questioning the contents of the things he said (as scripture tells us to).
What Miriam did was suggest that Moses had no more “right” to be the leader than any of them did. Of course, they ignored the fact that God had personally tapped Moses as the leader. And Moses was very careful to make sure he got the things he told the Israelites right.
Your Pimps feed you a verse and then depend on your inability to actually understand the context.
I don’t condemn you for this failing. It’s simply a reflection of the the terribly poor training you have received from the pastor and the rest of the church leadership.
